After a lifetime of watching physics discoveries and studying science history, admittedly with limited intelligence, the quest for the fundamental will never end as it's infinite. Whatever we discover the thing we discover is always made of something else, without end. Not saying it's not a worthwhile enterprise, just that it will never end.
His sense of humor is sly and dry and situationally appropriate for his monologue…I love it. John Butler’s collaborator Phil Shankland could learn from him.
This is an amazing series and I really appreciate you putting it into one video but it doesn’t really work as a still image. He’s got so many props and he’s doing stuff it really helps to watch him
There is already a video on RUclips which is all the episodes together, but I didn't like it because it was nearly impossible to follow the train of thought and was confusing to listen to since the poster sliced big chunks out (like e.g. I thought that Russel Stannard really cut the worm in two). I wanted a version where I could listen to everything with my eyes closed.
@@Ohnonono123 Like, really! Complaining so much, then go make your own video and quit your belly aching at this wonderful person who has taken the time out of _their_ day to collect, gather, edit & upload all this for others' viewing/listening pleasure. Hats off to you sir, the creator!
Unfortunately, it looks like I am not eligible to monetize my content, so I can't stop RUclips a$$н0lеs from sticking their freaking ads into this video and profiteering from me. F capitalism!

The subtle refutation of materialism/scientism adds to the relaxation value. Very cosy.
Hahaha, exactly
Lol
What is scientism?
This is just perfect. Thank you very much for uploading 👍

Leptons from what we know are fundamental particles
You will end first
Nah. We literally know the hottest, coldest, smallest, largest, etc. of pretty much everything.
Thinking about this kind of stuff could make you go crazy.
This is fantastic. Thank you for sharing.

What about Phil?
Asmr for the real ones. Stay focused boys 🥂🗿

I'm always enchanted by his phrases, elegant jokes.
Russel passed away at age 90 on July 4th 2022. Rest in peace legend
He fulfilled his mission. May he rest in peace.
Only other video that could put me to sleep faster is the Ed Kemper interview
Amazing 👍
I love this but damn he is too interesting. I gotta switch to something else lol
34:50 This scared the consciousness right out of me!
Talk about anti climatic! I was trying to get back to sleep after waking up at 3am, that sucked.. 😑 😒
@@michaelmoorhead762 Good you got to sleep. in upstate NY drunken farmers allow their half lunged dogs to bark all night.
@@gossamer8663... well.. thankfully I don't have to worry about that..do you use headphones or ear buds to drowns them out?
Yeah, knocked me all the way to the boundaries of the knowable
So we _can_ say matter can be created or destroyed.
But energy can't.
Fair enough.
Who ever posted this didn't see the entire video. It has some jump scares in the middle of the video 😢
I was hoping you would have cut out the penetrating sound of the guitar strings. That really distracts from the relaxation.
I'll try to do that in the RUclips editor.
I have removed the guitar string sounds.
@@IgorYentaltsev same with the nuclear explosion at about 35 minutes in

I wish one solid piece without the dumb commercials.

The fact that you put ads on this video is disgusting. Ruined one of my favorite videos
It's RUclips. I didn't realize ads were on. I do want to disable ads, but I can't find the Monetization option on the video for some reason.
@@IgorYentaltsevhave you heard of google?
Why is the voice BASSed the fuck up half way into the video?
Because of what he's explaining.
