I have watched ASMR for nearly ten years now, but I’ve never watched one that made me feel quite like this. I know this isn’t ASMR, but this video accomplished what many ASMRtists try to accomplish with their videos. I’ve been so full of anxiety and pain for a long time, and this video is the only thing that genuinely helped me feel any peace. It made me very emotional, especially when you ended with, “ “The Lord is with you, it’s true.” Thank God for you, John Butler. And thank you to those who are sharing his light. 🌷
29:00 this hits hard for me. I have felt this way in almost all of my relationships in life. I've often had to step away from people in order to follow my own path. It's lonesome, but peaceful in its own way. And yes, the paths do open, but you only see them once you dry your eyes.
As John Butler has evolved, his questions remind me of my own. His search for truth must be the same truths we all eventually seek....if we are the right path and we are actually looking.
weirdly, he makes me feel like i have a grandpa again :( my grandfather died when i was little and i only had few memories of him. i’m glad i can be wise with his help now :)
I know exactly how you feel. Lost my grandfather a while ago now and we'd have lovely moments where he would divulge this kind of wisdom, the kind of wisdom which only develops through a wealth of experience. To hear it again brings him back to life, if only for a moment.
I can really relate to John. I've always felt different from other people, and like an outsider. My sister once said to me "you were always so odd." I just can't go along with the world's version of things. As a result, I spend most of my time alone. The Comforter is very real, as John said. I was once very broken-hearted, and I pled with God to send me somebody, anybody, to my home, so I wouldn't have to be alone overnight. There was a very comforting presence in my home that night. I couldn't see anybody, or hear them, but I could feel them, just like when you're in your home, but someone's in another room, and you feel their presence, even though they're not in the same room as you. It was wonderful, and strengthened my faith that God cares.
💖 I feel the same, even my mother said I was strange. Maybe we don’t really need somebody always by our side. We come alone and we leave alone. But in the same time the entire Universe is with us.
I've endured many agonizing days of depression, and I'm a suicide survivor. A friend suggested as I was going to therapy that I take a look at John Butler. This insightful, gentle soul has saved my life. Each time I find myself lost, I look out to the infinite eternal "with my feet on the ground" and simply listen in silence and in stillness. Soon the wind howls, the sun's ray shine, the birds chirp, and suddenly without warning, I soon realize "I'm never alone."
I sincerely wish there were more people like a John in this world. Most people would love to meet their celebrity idol but I personally would love to meet John. I wish I could ask him a question on “how to move on from sad or painful events and focus on what’s important”
Don't let anything take your power away. What was given to you was given to you alone. All you can do is do the best with the time your given. Pain is one step closer to success. Just like a no is one step closer to a yes. Stay happy friend
When we are sad from painful events the mind wants to replay it over and over. This literally creates patterns of thought and triggers the body into reaction. Close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Be aware of what you’re mind is saying during the day without reacting or getting emotional. I went through a huge trauma in 2007. I learned to meditate then which is, to me, simply the practice of closing my eyes and being a blank slate. I got better at it. During the day I would just listen to my mind without the reaction. It is mind blowing how mental patterns dissolve with practice. The more mental space you create with this practice the more unbelievable opportunities show up. The people that created drama around me just started dropping out of my life. It was incredible to watch the process unfold. My whole life just keeps getting better and better. Sent with ❤️ love
+Timothyprice, here is my perspective/opinion: don't pressurise yourself to 'move on'. Feel the feelings, and allow yourself to go through the experience. Who is to say that your sadness and your pain are not important? They will come into your awareness less frequently over time, and your focus will move to other things, which will seem more important when you have grieved enough. On the other hand, the sad and painful events have been and gone, and you are still here - you have survived (I hope)! That in itself is something worth celebrating, something that shows you your resilience. Next time sad and painful things happen you'll know your own reserves of emotional and spiritual strength better. You'll also be better able to relate to others in their suffering so you can serve the world better. I hope you're starting to be able to see the 'silver linings' to your experiences. In any case, I wish you well
28:33 How I relate to John here. I'm autistic and have always heard people tell me similar things, dealt with the same kind of struggle. It does take a lot of courage to stand on your own while others treat us poorly for just naturally being different than others, treat us like the alien. It's sad how people treat others a lot of times, especially for being atypical; it always has made me sad. I relate to a lot of what John is saying overall as well, and to the part about not wanting to hurt the grass and insects when walking through it. I still feel this way and carefully walk through it so as not to step on any insects if I can help it. I believe God makes us strange or different for a divine reason. It would be quite boring and ineffective for nature's equilibrium if everyone were the same.
This is the best "Church" I've heard in 30 years. Thank you for sharing this. It helps me SO much. In an isolating, selfish world, your musings of Truth are warm sunshine, and gives me reason to Breathe again
Hearty agreement. This man is infinitely interesting - one of the most profound deep healing-thinkers I've stumbled upon in this dimension. @@troyevitt2437 I did hear that, Troy. He also grows Lily of the Valley in his backyard in case he has to use it :)
Who is this mystical creature I just found?
Lol! ❤🧚♂️🙏🙂
You didn’t find him, he found you.😉
How rude
JUST another satanist. :/
As John Butler has evolved, his questions remind me of my own. His search for truth must be the same
truths we all eventually seek....if we are the right path and we are actually looking.
you can’t convince me this man isn’t a old wise tree that’s lived through the beginning of the world lol endless wisdom.
We found god and he’s as wise as we expected
Recently lost my uncle who I was rather close with, thanks for everything John. You’ve helped me through a lot of tough times
If you close your eyes and listen... you can almost HEAR his beard.
Zac Conn i HEAR it growing.. the same way I’m growing from the wisdom of the beard. Growing... beautifully, silently, blissfully...
Amen 🙏🏻😊
This comment slayed me 😂
That IS the white noise sound
Oh lord the noise that just came out of my mouth 😂😂
weirdly, he makes me feel like i have a grandpa again :( my grandfather died when i was little and i only had few memories of him. i’m glad i can be wise with his help now :)
I know exactly how you feel. Lost my grandfather a while ago now and we'd have lovely moments where he would divulge this kind of wisdom, the kind of wisdom which only develops through a wealth of experience. To hear it again brings him back to life, if only for a moment.
Exactly the same... lost both my grandpas when I was young and hardly any memories of them...
❤️
Glad to see you have that comfort now
💖 I feel the same, even my mother said I was strange.
Ahhhh the beauty of finding that peace and connection within a permanent realization!!!
I’m crying that makes so much sense and is so beautiful, thank you
@@joshuadavis1895 it really is beautiful and gave an insight, maybe even an advice 💖
Timothyprice you want more people to be like John? It all starts with YOU
michelle mm thank you so much for this it really helped! 🙏🏼 Going to give breathing and meditating a shot
In any case, I wish you well
What a peaceful man. His voice is very soothing, yet you can feel the turmoil he has experienced in his life.

How I relate to John here.
❤❤❤❤ we have similar souls
When he rides away at the end on his bike I crack up, I don't know why. I love these videos. Thank you
Almighty RUclips algorithm decided I am ready for this wisdom.
Thanks.
This is the best "Church" I've heard in 30 years. Thank you for sharing this. It helps me SO much. In an isolating, selfish world, your musings of Truth are warm sunshine, and gives me reason to Breathe again
Yes, a modern church without the ear shattering rock band entertainment, but a call to go into the silence within to experience God.
we call it philosophy.

Hearty agreement. This man is infinitely interesting - one of the most profound deep healing-thinkers I've stumbled upon in this dimension. And if needing sleep and the mind won't stop over-processing a day's events, John's voice may be the most soothing 'ASMR' one may find. Warm winds and good things to you and yours :)

We would love to see John’s farm. He references farming often.
When he was 26..
he growa weeeeeeeeeed.
He mentioned having Sheep in another video.
He lives in an apartment now.
His voice is so soothing, he is so wise, woah.
When he talks about how seldom anyone is really interested in anybody. They are just waiting for the other person to stop talking so they can talk. So true. Daily I speak with a number of people who you can just tell aren’t really listening to anything anyone is really saying. They are just waiting to talk about themselves. Sad reality. Love your videos John. God bless you!
