The best part of this reaction was watching the sheer joy on your faces.

I love this song so much, it's my new favorite. Just so flawless with Anneke, this one is going to be impossible to ever beat. Tomi is a legend of my small(ish) home town Lohja, and just a great guy not just an artist. As the saying goes, it's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice.. and Tomi is a really nice guy. Terkkuja Lohjalta.

This song is my favourite, too! Such a beautiful and powerful song, gives me chills every time I listen to this. As you said, this album is a masterpiece. I've also found how great of a songs "Heart of Giant" and "Daughter of Hate" are, I just keep discovering more things of this album the more I listen to it.
Daughter of Hate is my favorite, like Dark Path was on the previous album. Seriously, those 2 songs are perfect from the start to the finish. They both equally melodic and agressive.
I am just as hooked on this song as you are. I can't get the song out of my head. Wasn't into this band before this...now...I'm checking more of them out....

My favorite on the album too Pedro. I'm usually a critical nerd when it comes to metal, but this song is just flawless in my ears. Everything comes together here, the vocal combinations, the melodies, the atmosphere and the lyrics.. Outstanding.

I was listening to the album two days ago in the morning and when this track showed up, I was like "wait, is this Anneke?" and all of a sudden I was online and I've realized they put the vid like an hour before from the same exact day. This track is fantastic in any way. I've been listening to Amorphis for a few months (I know who they were, I just didn't check them out before) and I can say is one of the more complex bands I've ever known. Keep up the good work guys, greetings from Venezuela!
I'm currently obsessed with this song. The composition seems relatively simply but it's soooooo catchy and melodic and Anneke's soaring voice is beautiful and her voice + Tomi's clean and harsh vocals sounds so good!! :D

I wouldnt be surprised if this song was the metal song of the year in every metal radio stations and such, its just so incredible masterpiece of metal and when Anekke sings in this as well, its done, this will be the metal song of the year :)

Didn't know Anneke van Giersbergen was in this song and recognized the voice emediately. Have been a fan of her since the 90's with the gathering and still with Vuur....

Great song on a truly amazing album. It's going to take something very special to top this one for my album of the year!
Plus it help Anneke does guest vocals, she always brings something special to every project she's involved with. Been a fan ever since The Gathering, saw those guys a ton when I was much younger (95/96-ish) and she just keeps popping up in other projects I love like Devin Townsend. Helps she's a local, in fact got to see her live again this past week with the residential orchestra ;-)
Shame about the copyright strike, doesn't seem to have any legal bearing whatsoever given the way in which you guys, and reaction channels in general, use these songs. Generally no ad revenue is made, the material in question is used for review or satire, while the very nature of reaction channels gives the video transformative value (though that's a legal extremely grey area, same goes for lets play-series).
Heck you guys most likely drive more sales towards labels and bands alike, simply by exposing people to new music. Come to think of it a spurious copyright claim is illegal in and of itself, not that such a thing is going to stop scammers, automated bots and those wanting to silence consumer criticism from still filling them. It's sadly enough a very one-sided burden of proof..........when will a claimant get a counter strike for filling false infringements?
Still, better safe than sorry. RUclips is after all, and quite sadly, extremely defensive and in the camp of claimants as they do not want to loose even more advertisers and their essentially protected status as a platform. And lets not forget that Google still runs RUclips at a loss, though certainly a loss they can carry.

Indeed a really great song. Great songwriting, perfect melodies that flow over really well and Anneke really brings an extra dimension to this song. It definitely gives that feeling of epicness when listening to the song. This will probably conquer many metalhearts ;-)
Anekke von Giersbergen for me the best female vocalists. I like the Gathering so mutch, espacaly Mandylion and Nighttime Birds. Absolute Masterpieces ! Maybe you can do once In Motion #1 ?

I am not a big Amorphis listener usually, but this is so far the best song of the best album of 2018 for me!
I'm honestly really surprised by how popular this track was off the new album. I love the new album, but Amongst Stars was a standout for me. I figured it would be too "soft" or "poppy" for most Amorphis fans/metalheads, but I'm glad to see the positive reaction. The Bee, The Golden Elk and Daughter of Hate were other standouts for me as well.

Strange thing about this album so awaited. It is my opinion of the big Amorphis fan since late 90's. So, as an old fan I can't here anything new in this album despite such great things as Anneke's vocals in this song, middle eastern melodies in a couple of songs, still fantastic Tomi's vocals (wich is better and better from album to album), very good quality of production and recording. I listen to this album and I can't feel a real ecstasy if you know what I mean. Moreover, I feel like I've already heard this before((
"middle eastern melodies" Wait what? You don't know shit if you think that influence for those melodies come from. Jeez!

Hey guys! It would be awesome if you could check out THE GATHERING, Anneke's former band. Vuur is her actual band. I was lucky to meet Anneke in Madrid, she was so nice to talk to and a truly wonderful musician with an amazing voice.

Got to agree that this is the best album of the year so dar, another great albums of 2018 so far are, for me, "Unsung Prophets & Dead Messiahs" by Orphaned Land and "Exile Amongst the Ruins" by Primordial.
This new album is amazing the last one was awesome to and actually there is no bad Amorphis Album at all-> Elegy 1996 is pure Amorphis magic listen to "the orphan" you will start to cry for joy
Already a classic... His melodic and harsh vocal are amazing. One of the most gifted singers i know. Last Albuns "Winter's Sleep" song was a preview for this new album and its fabulous. Heart of a Giant is as great as well. Best metal album of the year for sure.

yeah, those 2 are good as well as the last album, but I think Of Immortal Aeons or Trapped In Hourglass is even better for begginer.

I love Nightwish and Amorphis and fully agree that this had to be the Sunday video. It is a fantastic album from a brilliant band. The album is excellent and I really enjoy 'We Accursed' from it; something a bit different. I did wonder during your review about the songs in the background! Luckily, it was hard to hear much of them ...
I only realize what I had done with the background songs the next day....I was like...shit....I just kinda leaked 3 songs...I screwed up. Gladly it is fainted enough and nobody from the band or label had an issue, but it was a lesson learned. Going forward on reviews of albums before the release date I will include only songs that have been released already.
Anneke and Tomi together is just absolutely fantastic. Only thing I wish they would have done different would have had Tomi duet the chorus with Anekke, clean vocals or harsh. I would have to agree that this is my favorite track from the album as well. This album is just absolutely fantastic. I can't praise it enough.

Best song in the album is Heart of the Giant. That keyboard solo followed by the guitar solo is a cherry on the top of that amazing song.
Guys - if you want something different from your usual sonic diet, try Anneke singing with Anathema's Danny Cavanagh on the piano version of "Untouchable Pt. 2". It's a tearjerker.

Awesome reaction to a great song, I agree with you about it being a very good song, but my favorite from the album is Heart of the Giant. I think the intro can be the soundtrack to the most amazing boss battle fight of all time. It's so majestic and epic, it gives me chills every time I hear it.

I was driving in the car today, listening to SiriusXM Metal station and heard a song that was just so insanely different and fresh compared to all the melodeath junk that's labels are churning out lately, and when I looked to see who it was - Amorphis! Can't believe they have changed so much since the last time I gave them a try, but this sound is really awesome. Heavy, clean vox, female vox...celtic sounds..awesome soloing...almost like Nightwish in a way, but more metal and less fantasy. This is probably the first album I'm actually buying since Endless Forms Most beautiful from Nightwish.

I did a huge campaign or harassment of Jose Magin to get Amorphis on Liquid Metal. I am glad he did it.
If you don't have a problem with Nuclear Blast, you might want to try a Die Apokalyptischen Reiter video! Underrated band (better than Rammstein if you ask me). ;) I will go buy the Amorphis album as soon as my broken arm allows me to. By the way, on another note, I think Stam1na just released a new song.
