One of the most powerful rock voices ever created!
Another great track on this album. You're getting there. Just do the entire Holy Diver and Last in Line albums and you'll be doing great.
finaly a real reaction with no pause at the middle of the song
Another great deep cut!!!
I saw Dio in 1987. With Black n Blue and Anthrax
Honestly, I'll never understand why Dio (the band) never saw the same level of success as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest or Queensryche, especially after the first 3 albums did so well... Dio was playing arenas from 1984 to 1986 w/ huge stage productions... And then after 'Dream Evil' (1987), the band's popularity suddenly took a dive...the whole band line-up changed by 1990, and then 'Lock up the wolves' (1990) became a commercial disaster. Many speculated it had to do w/ original guitarist Vivian Campbell bailing on Dio in 1985, and fans did not like his replacements Craig Goldy, and then Rowan Robertson... I know fans did not like Dio's 90's guitarist Tracy G.
Ronnie did a Black Sabbath album ('Dehumanizer') in 1992, but quit the band by 1993 to reform Dio, but the 90's were just hostile to heavy metal... 'Strange highways' (1993) and 'Angry Machines' (1996) got no support from radio or MTV... they sold poorly and the band played small venues w/ Iron Maiden (Blaze Bayley era) in 1998.
Thankfully, Dio did enjoy increased fanfare for the albums 'Magica' (2000)... and 'Killing the Dragon' (2002)... Dio's last album was 'Master of the Moon' (2004) before he reunited w/ Sabbath as Heaven & Hell, recording the album "The Devil you know" before he passed away in 2010.
Jimmy Bain was a great songwriter for Dio, as well as a great bassist. I was lucky to see him perform w/ Dio in 2000 and 2002. He passed away in early 2016.
