    Is the CVT transmission on this year that bad? I thought they made some improvements. I’m considering buying one this week. I’m debating between 2017 Toyota RAV and this Nissan. Although I love the interior, the comfort, and the outside look and drive of the Nissan Murano

    • @DoubleClutchAutoReviews
      @DoubleClutchAutoReviews  Год назад

      I have heard some bad things… I'm not exactly sure about this specific model year though. Overall, the Jatco CVT transmissions that Nissan puts in their cars have not had a good reputation AT ALL. However, my friends Dana and Kevin haven't had any issues with theirs yet (fingers crossed) With that being said, they still very much enjoy their Murano. It's a very comfortable and smooth riding car. I have to be honest with you though and say that the Rav4 will probably be more reliable, especially as time goes on. On the flipside, the Toyota is probably more expensive as they hold their value extremely well. Let me know what you end up going with. I hope this helps!

    Hi I just bought a 2017 Nissan Murano platinum and I wanted to know Does it comes with OnStar , I'm going to ask the car salesman on Tuesday

    • @DoubleClutchAutoReviews
      @DoubleClutchAutoReviews  3 года назад

      Hey Rachel. I believe this one does! According to my quick research, it looks like Nissans have had OnStar in them since 2015. I'm not certain though about your specific car, so I would make sure you double check. Did you already sign the papers? And if so, is having OnStar a make or break thing for you? If it means that much to you, I would just 100% make sure it does have it before officially taking the vehicle off the lot. Good luck though and congrats!

    • @babyluvjr
      @babyluvjr Год назад

      Onstar is a GM product..however, u can purchase the kit.."OnStar for Non-GM vehicles ", I'm not sure if it's still around for purchase though. Nissan Connect is similar to OnStar. My 2017 platinum has it standard.

    What does the cruise control problem they had do? Im not good with cars but im interested in this one and wanna know what to do.

    • @DoubleClutchAutoReviews
      @DoubleClutchAutoReviews  3 года назад

      Hi Shaunie! So my friends had an issue with the cruise control sensor simply failing suddenly. This obviously prevented them from using it, and the cars computer was sending tons of warning messages and noises to the gauge cluster which became a huge nuisance every time they drove it. A special sensor is required in these newer cars that have this type of cruise control. These systems are much more advanced than the "old" style of cruise control that just sets a speed for the car to stay at constantly when driving on the highway. These new "adaptive" systems can change the car's speed to go faster or slower based on the traffic in front of you which is frankly amazing. However, any of these high tech systems in cars nowadays always have a potential risk of failing, and unfortunately, the one on their car did. I believe it was very expensive to fix, but Dana and Kevin luckily got it covered under the warranty after fighting with the dealership for several months to fix it. If you like the Murano Shaunie, I would recommend trying to find one with a cruise control sensor that has already been repaired under warranty by an authorized repair facility with proper documentation, or find one that still has the factory warranty in place for at least a fews years. I hope this helps and good luck with your search!

    Is this ride reliable ??

    • @DoubleClutchAutoReviews
      @DoubleClutchAutoReviews  3 года назад

      Julito Marana I would say it depends. Overall, yes. Compared to a Honda or a Toyota, possibly not. The CVTs in these are not known to be the most reliable, and my friends have had the cruise control sensor break on this one. The CC sensor was covered under warranty, and I would only hope that the transmission would be as well if it unfortunately breaks. My friends do like the car very much, but if you are not brand loyal to Nissan, I would also look at a Honda CR-V or Pilot, as well as a Toyota RAV4 or 4Runner before you make your final decision. You might pay more initially for a Honda or Toyota, but if you plan on keeping the car for a very long time, it might be worth it later down the road. Hope this helps, and good luck!

      @@user-xs9835 No problem. I see you were on your way to the dealer 11 days ago. I hope this wasn't too late! Either way, I must say unless it's a warranty issue, or you have a "wheel and tire" package with the dealer you bought the car from, I would just go to a "chain" tire shop (Town Fair Tire, Sullivan's, etc.). They usually are pretty good, and have much better prices than any dealership. They also will price match I believe if you find a better price somewhere else. Can't beat that. Anyway, I hope this helps and good luck!

      I barely got 40k out of the original Bridgestones so I got the best Michelins. Sigh,….they also lasted only about 40k and I’m pursuing a warranty claim. Think the Murano just goes thru tires faster due to weight and power.

    I owned a Nissan Murano years ago, its the worse decision I made
    to buy this scrap. Not only the quality its poor, but the service. I live in Mexico
    and the Nissan shops are very corrupt, they steal the people by not doing the
    service they should. Tons of people report they don’t get the oil changes and
    replacement parts they charge. Problems are never solved properly and there are
    tons of complaints. I am glad they are sawing what they deserve.
    I made may complaints and never receive attention, Now I am with Honda, Ford and GM. Better quality at least for the same or better price cars.

She is a smart lady, she's just older and not familiar with the fancy tech and complicated controls that the Audi has. I've tried to teach her, but she loses patience with it. So much so that she even debated getting rid of the A5 recently for something a little simpler. I agree with you, she should just try to learn and enjoy the car. Either way, we will see what happens when summer rolls around eventually!
