what a great tip with the hairdryer. i had the whole thing intact and removed in minutes. last time i didnt use it and cracked it multiple places and used around an hour to stripp all the small pices.

This fix is a huge ball-ache compared to fixing Iphone screens, but thank you so much for the tutorial. You helped me massively :D cut myself a few times and probably sweating glass shards for the next few days but I now have a working Ipad again haha.
Followed this to replace my screen and worked beautifully! However, I’m so pissed at myself because i tore the connection to the power button, rocker, and up volume (which i can’t figure out why the volume up doesn’t work, but the volume down does 🤔). I didn’t even think that i needed to be careful of cables in that section 😭
This is exactly why I'm not fixing mine myself!! Lol

to find a solution to the home screen press the turn off button on side and for volume in the top right corner swipe down and you’ll see volume settings

Bleach is Healthy with much difficulty, backing up then deleting photos and now I mostly use it as a youtube machine. I still play a couple games on it though.

Easiest iPad to work on is the iPad Air because the screen is separated from the LCD and there's no wires besides the screen wire

Hi everyone I wanted to know where I could find an iPad 2 screen and how much they cost I broke my iPad yesterday of July 28 and the screen stopped working at first it was only a corner but than it gradually spread until only a small corner worked I've had it for years and it was on its last legs but my notes and family photos are on it and I really want them back I was also wondering if its possible to transfer information and storage from it I would be really great full for any information thanks you and God bless .
my iPad (idk which one. has a lightning port) has suffered a big toe to the screen. now has a big hole at the top but it still works perfectly. it was summer and I had it outside under a towel bc we were playing with water and I didn't want it to get *_wet_* , ok?

Hey! I wonder if you could repair my ipad. It has a cracked screen and it wont work, ive tried to press the power + home button a few hours. It wont turn on, last time it worked ways on mondey. If the display is rubbish, then LCD. If the display is perfect but displays cracks, then just the glass.

I actually had an iPad 4th Gen and I cracked the black glass screen on it and my dad took my iPad to get it repaired and it had a different colored glass screen and the added a white glass screen
I still have my iPad 2 from November, 2014 and it is still working to this day but it is pretty slow and the screen is cracked. At the bottom I can see the screen popping out a little so I’ll have to get a new screen.
How I cracked it?
About 3 years ago I was at my friend’s house and I had a keyboard case on my iPad but i think I slammed my iPad on the keyboard, causing the screen to crack. Once and awhile I notice a new crack or little shatter. Does anyone know how much money it costs to get a screen replacement on an iPad 2? Maybe it’ll be cheaper because it’s one of the old versions.
It depends, if you fix it yourself it'll cost less than $20, if you plan on taking it to a repair shop you might as well buy another one, the iPad 2's are around $40 online.

Up To That same with mine it's most likely a foreign sim. You can get an unlock via imei for 99p on eBay. Mine was locked to at&t I found out. You can also get a check for 99p on eBay about what network it is on

I have a black 64gb cellular model so to me the best ipad 2. It has bad touch and no pwr button. Cracked and that could be another fault because the glass is bending. It came to me with an open screen and i could take it apart without air gun so i guess i kinda got lucky but it worked perfectly before so maybe not. Somehow it didnt have like shatters it was just like a few cracks. Odly it has that bend like on hughs ipad
