  • Welcome to our Experimental Cinematic series, an exercise to help streamline our development pipelines. First, we created a series of 2D concept images using Midjourney. Next, with Unreal Engine, we transformed each concept into a fully realized 3D cinematic. We employed Marvelous Designer for cloth sim, ZBrush for sculpting, SpeedTree for the twisty tentacles, Xsens motion trackers and MVN to animate a Metahuman. Toss in an AI narrator, and this is the output.
As we work toward larger productions, we have countless pipeline issues to solve. Brian Dean worked on 17 animated feature films at several major studios, but a pipeline suited for a large studio with hundreds of employees and millions of dollars might not be suited for a smaller team using Unreal Engine. We're using these short cinematics to help establish a workflow that is a good fit for Amulet Studios.
This is the first in a series.
