- We took three different generations of Jeeps (CJ, YJ & TJ) and built this beautiful Vintage yet Modern Resto-mod CJ7. it took a lot of work, but this thing is a perfect culmination of over 30 years of Jeep history! The complete project took about 1 year to complete from start to finish. We combined a YJ Tub/ CJ clip on to a 2004 Jeep TJ Chassis. Follow along to see how we built it!

Great attention to detail with the stealthy upgrades, and an incredible job combining all the different generations so seamlessly. Hate to nitpick, but the dash ain’t original paint, speaker grilles are a the tell. Cheers
Throttle Down Kustoms makes a CJ7 frame that takes TJ parts... Probably would have been easier going this route.
Really nice! 👍
Nice job!
Man. You make me want to do some modernization to my 82 CJ-7 Jamboree!
Let's do it!
@@MountZionOffroad I wish. With this thing, my budget is RUclips and duct tape. Works so far…but a modernized jamboree would be so cool!!
Amazing!
I have been trying to find black seats with the embossed CJ logo. Where did you find those?
They were the stock seats in it! We had them reupholstered!
Mount Zion Offroad oh man, nice! Thank u for the reply
@@LACity68 of course!
Very nice Jeep but it's not the same original family Jeep.
I’m trying to find a good direction to take on my 77’ Cj7 like from what I’m hearing it decently rare because it’s an automatic, levi edition, has the V8 with 56k original miles on it and I was thinking about doing a restomod on it and kind of revamp it by keeping the outside original-ish and the inside with new parts. I was wanting to kind of spice up the motor just a tiny bit to give it some more power and so much more but idk how to go about doing it exactly.
That sounds like quite a nice CJ! Would you be doing it yourself or would you be looking at having someone else revamp it for you??
@@MountZionOffroad I was kind of thinking about making it a project for myself more so for labor fees but if somebody was able to do the work on it and kind of take it from an image in my head to making it a real thing I would probably consider it.
@@kalebrimpley888 that’s understandable! Well if it’s an interest, we would be happy to help! We can do whatever you wish! Down to the T.
@@MountZionOffroad how are y’all with bodywork ? Because I was given the jeep from my grandpa and he bought it from a guy that owned a farm and he used if for the farm. Well he let his daughter and her bf take it out and pick up some salt blocks and they left the salt blocks to sit in the rear area by the tailgate and the passenger floor board and now their is a decent amount of rust in those areas. There is a lot some other body work that it would need which is why I was thinking if it would be a smart idea just to get a new tub and hardtop and just transfer over the chassis and motor and all that to the new tub
@@kalebrimpley888 that seems like a good option if it’s pretty bad! And also we do not do any body work, we sub that out to others!
Turn the music off WTF?
