Calm days like the one in the video are few and far in between. It was a rare opportunity and I really enjoyed not being tossed around in the waves. Thanks for the feedback and for watching!
This used to be my favorite month to catch good numbers of slabs and big ones. However, as I look out my window at the snow on the ground and feel the freezing air every now and then when I crack the door open, I am wondering if another month might become my favorite month. Thanks for watching!
LOL. Sorry for the confusion but you got me! First, I would like to say I am ambidextrous but when fishing I always crank with my right hand and hold the rod with my left hand most of the time, but I also hold it in my right hand sometimes when my left hand is tired. If I cast I will always cast with my right hand and then switch it over to my left hand. It was not until a few months ago that my daughter brought it to my attention that I trained her and her sister (my wife too!) to fish left handed because I thought I was fishing like a right handed person. She didn't know until her boyfriend pointed it out while they were fishing. I thought this is how everyone fished. I think it is very efficient though because, if you notice I don't have to change hands with the rod when i pitch it on a slab which pays huge dividends when they are 1 ft below the surface and time to hook set is short. Thanks for watching and for the comment!
My content changed when my local 25 acre lake was drained. I currently travel 50 miles round trip to make each one of the videos and just can't afford the time to search the 8,500 acres of Lake Talquin to find the fish because they move a lot so I have to be as efficient as I can. However, the good news is that my local lake repairs have been completed and the lake is filled back up and should be stocked with fish very soon which will enable me to continue providing content which includes trolling, slip bobbers etc. It may take a year or so for the fish to get decent size though but I will be able to provide more of the old school style fishing again. I also have plans to expand the content to include some shell cracker and bluegill fishing this season. I might also include some saltwater fishing as well. My goal is to provide traditional content for non-Livescopers and content for Livescopers as well but until I move to the lake time is a factor. I appreciate your feedback and long term support and thanks for watching!
Would love to see my lake this calm, and no traffic ! Great video

All these are nice fish, nice sized!! Makes me wonder if you can catch crappie better in the winter time while they’re schooled up..
