    I grew up fishing Lake Talquin. Now I come back home to visit my brother-n- law and I go out there every time I come home. My brother-n-law fishes there at least 3 times a week

      It is a beautiful lake with some great fishing. Once my house is built I plan to fish there 7 days a week. LOL. Thanks for watching!

    Love your channel, and take that gridline off your screen, and will love your screen afterwards. Just subbed and liked for you, and have a blessed day on the water. Kentucky

      Thanks for the sub! I never thought about the grid lines. I will take them off and see if it impacts my timing. The season is about to start where the crappie will be running fast in open water and timing of the cast(pitch actually) and jig drop relative to fish location is everything. I appreciate the suggestion and will give it a try. Thanks for watching!

    Which creek mouth on Quincy side is a good one to start with for finding some fish? New to fishing Talquin

    • @HookLegends
      @HookLegends  3 месяца назад

      With the exception of the top 1/3 of the lake which I have not fished in many years, I would say all the other creek mouths have fish. It can take a while to locate the fish but once you do they will pretty much be in the same place year and year around the same time and water conditions. I spent a lot of time searching and a little time fishing until I marked some good locations. After finding their hideouts I never search anymore, just pull up to their hideout and fish. Good luck and thanks for watching!

    Good afternoon ! Mr. Henry. Are you on ACC crappie stix pro staff. Mr. Andy of ACC crappie stix owner he is a good man. I was looking at the ACC crappie stix green series casting 7’6” spinning rod and I’m thinking about buying it would you recommend me to buy it yes or no. I’m looking for a casting spinning rod that have a strong backbone and sensitive and I will be doing nothing but casting from the bank only for shells crawler and red ear and bluegills and crappies. May the Lord be in your heart today to answer all of my questions and may the Lord continue to bless you and your family and your RUclips channel in 2024 please 🙏 ! Can you please do a catch and cook crappie RUclips video from your home in 2024 please 👍 keep them crappies RUclips videos coming in 2024✌️

      Yes, I am a member of the Pro Staff Team and Andy is a great guy for sure! I have not used the 7'6" rod but a lot of people really love it. The casting rod I am using in the videos are 8ft rods and I absolutely love them. You mentioned casting from the bank and I think an 8ft rod will help you reach out over shoreline weeds a little bit better. I like the 10ft. rods also. My rod of choice throughout the Fall and Winter will be a 15ft. ACC but I will not use it for casting. I will try to work in a catch, clean and cook video but I can't really say when at the moment. My wife and I got our water well installed last month on our Lake Talquin property. Once our house is there we plan to do a lot of catch, clean and cook videos and my wife will be in a lot of them.
      Thanks for your kind words and thoughts of blessings. I really appreciate it and may the Lord also bless you and your family.
