- I modded a Casio piano with a lofi looper... Go now, pick your favorite toy piano, music toy, small synthesizer, big synthesizer, anything that can produce sounds and install a diy lofi sampler looper (isd1820). Its some sort of circuit bending fun fun fun. This is my quest to very cheap but great gear!
HERE the tutorial for the sampler module: • HOW TO DIY LO FI SAMPLER

Damn this is a great idea !
The circuit bending community is going to love this !
The sound at 3.50... Just wow.
Brilliant. I've just ordered 10 of them.
Great Idea man
Awesome! Thankyou
R E A L L Y N I C E !
thankks!!!
Very creative ! Congratulations !
;)
@@Lonershy You got a fan for your videos now.
Brilliant idea ✨
:)
Very nice! You add this lovely part of Volca Sample to this mashine))
hahaha yes! why not!
Haha nice! I've had the same keyboard when i was young.
You’re a genius! That was awesome Bro!
thanks!
Very Nice!!! I like.
Thanks buddy! I like your name :)
idea's are endless, i would love this has a kit with switches and buttons and chip, wouldn't have a clue how to do it lol great video as normal!
yeaah, maybe the kit is a good idea :)
This It great, I will try do it your sampler idea with a cv in to modulate the pitch with an lfo or envelope
Oh please, Im really lost doing this and would love to try
well done.

cool thanks!
Great!!!!
lovely, you also can have tow loopers with the same recording and make some detune betewm them!!
yes, you can!
❣❣❣
Brilliant :)
My experience with these chips involves a click and pause in the loop, but this is so smooth! Any tips?
when you record at high volume the click is smoothly slower... :)
Oooo, gotcha. High gain into pin MIC, and volume pot on the output.
Thanks you lovey man, have a great day :)
How about a sequencer bike? Thanks !
Believe or not i do have one... but does not work very good yet
Wild! I just bought a different Casio keyboard for a nephew, I'm gonna ask if he'd like me to circuit bend it for him! Did you use one of those ISD boards for this project?
yes!! ask him hahaha it will be even better!
nice.
how did you manage to hear the original sound from the keyboard when you're sampling, and then when you play the sample it's going through the pedals..?
oh wait.
it's two speaker keyboard?
@@simio_noia yes! exactly! so Im hearing one of the speakers itself :)
:) thanks
i'm gonna try it out.
found a seller here in Portugal
Love it!! Where can I buy one of these sample modules?
Amazon!! Go for it!!
@@Lonershy 🙌
@@Lonershy great stuff. Very inventive. Music releases???
Would love to learn where to intersect the pcb for filter and envelope.
That's a fun idea !
How many seconds does it record ? And can it loop ? Cheers .
Hi! yes its a looper, time depends on speed, but average is 15/20 secs
Do you have to do anything special for the power source?
Nope.
Well, I fried mine by trying to connect it to the battery source on my key board. Lol.
@@CommodoreCrush how many volts does your keyboard use?
@@cwrigh13 shows 9-12v
@@CommodoreCrush it depends on how you define "special"! The data sheet for the ISD1820 says 3v, but I've used 3.3v and 5v and it seems fine. If you don't have a variable power supply try using a breadboard power supply (these supply 3.3v and 5v). Good luck!
This got me thinking. What if you created a box with the ISD1820 and an Arduino that Recorded then sent a sample to the Korg Volca via a short 3.5mm cable using wav to syrostream. korginc.github.io/volcasample/gallery.html
Ok this gave me some ideas...
