    While I prefer using Warp over the Curve modifier, I didn't know about the Knife Project, that's going to help a lot in the future.
    Great video as usual. Learned something new, even if it wasn't the focus of the video!

    What would be cool is a "Boolean Shapes add-on" - You draw the shape with annotate, the add-on makes the cutter and applies it (default difference) - and maybe leaves the cutter so you can adjust the cut depth.

    I'm curious if I'm the only one that will spend an hour or so after watching your videos trying to replicate what you have shown.
    I feel like I learn more from your 1min videos then I do watching those other guys hour long videos.

    Where do you learn this stuff? It's obviously passed down from a source but keeping it hidden makes it seem like nobody would ever figure this out without these videos

    • @BlenderSecrets
      @BlenderSecrets  2 года назад +30

      You just learn things bit by bit, and one thing builds on top of the other. Usually it's just me trying to figure stuff out for hours and then trying to distill it into a minute, so other people don't have to go through the same lengthy process (and for myself, when I forget).

    Do you have a video on the first part, with the Annotate and boolean shapes? I never used those features, so that part went a bit over my head.
    Thank you anyways, as always absolutely insane high level of quality content!

    • @kulusic1
      @kulusic1 2 года назад +1

      I think annotate is just a modified version of grease pencil. You can make a grease pencil object and convert it to curves/mesh, but you'll have to do some clean up. I think he used the annotation lines as guides and just box modeled/booleaned a shape that matches his annotate sketch.

    Hello, I follow your tuto, very cool, I learned annotation and how to access boleen. I succeed in using knif, but it does not cut the whole object only the front face. with result, I'm unable to make it in circle. The only way is to apply cut on 3 other faces. If you have a solution I take it.

  • @BookooZenny

    seeking some clarification, you still have to actually model the boolean shapes, merely following the annotations as a guide? i'm assuming there isn't some magical conversion happening here lol
