for me the EOS 5D-Mk4 is not worth the double price to the EOS 5D-Mk3 for that minor differences.
I don't need all that extra features of the EOS 5D-Mk4 by taking pictures in traditional way.
And ... which lens is able to serve that 30 MP Sensor ? ... what about diffraction and the loss of sharpness over f/8 you have to pay attention at that high resolution ?
I bought a EOS 5D-Mk3 for 600 Euros in perfect condition including the original battery-grip. So that is speaking all about ...
I've heard about that the EOS 5D-Mk4 might have a slightly better and faster AF. I've missed that in your review talking about.
Soo ... for me as a people and wedding photographer it's a very clear decision ... take the EOS 5D-Mk3 and spend all the saved money into another very interesting L-Lens.

About two months ago, a friend gave me a 5Dmiii. It was my first full frame camera and I find it is still a force to reckoned with and gives wonderful pictures. The 5Dmiii is a good cameras
I recently had an itch to upgrade to the 4. I'll be keeping my 3 a few more years now.

I've been shooting a 5d II for a while now and am just getting a mark III, used DSLR's give you so much camera for your money at the moment with so many people going mirrorless.
This review was an absolutely perfect comparison with all the information I need. Time to upgrade my MK2 and now I know I can save a few pounds and go for the MK3.

Mirrorless made taking photos so easy now, however live view on canon's still superb than others.
I’m getting myself an EOS-R after using the M50 but am hopeful that Canons next offering will have decent full frame 4K 😬😊
I love the old school rugged body design of the 5D series (as was shared with the classic XXD line from the 50D and older) but the benefit of the flip LCD is just too useful. Not so much for photos in my opinion but for video. But I love the feel of this classic build.

I was really interested by the R5 but the price is just too high for me right now. I can get the mark iv with a discount so I think it will still be a nice upgrade from my mark iii. Especially for video and considering it will be compatible with all my series L lenses.
yeah, since the release of 5D4 and after thousands of comparisons and reviews 4 years ago nothing changed except the price. Brand new 5D4 is around 2200 EUR now. In my opinion it's not a big difference for what you get.

Here is a humble question for you please reply. I saved my money to buy my full frame but really torn between canon 5d mk 3 and canon 5d mk 4.
Its might be personal opinion but i dont know what potraits from 5dmk3 to me looks more rich and pleasent thn later one. Is there any color tone and overall image quality diffrence between both edited or jepg. Please reply

Not going into filming, and the house is essential, as I can use it for hevy duty work, so Mk iii seems like a good obtion, coming from 1D series, but want a lighter B cam.
I would go for the 5D mk IV just for the upgraded features, but as a 6D mk II user, I'm happy with that as somewhat of a middle ground. DSLR's are still good, even though the mirrorless revolution is taking over.
Still looking to do a 6D ii review with you bro - let me know when you are free :-) I’ve got models lined up and a shoot day in November ;) ;)
@@KaiCreative if you do that compare, compare with same lenses, i didnt find a channel , everyone test 6d vs 5dmikv same pic but with different lenses, do with same lenses in both camera to compare raws. in same conf in studio and exterior.

I understand I could settle for a lower version of the 5D lineup, or another entry level altogether, but I am passionate, and want a good camera since many are quite a few years old. Hey Ryan, I tried the XT3 back in summer last year nice little camera. (: The 5DMark iii is an excellent camera for photos, and the video is still good with a decent lens. Depends a lot on what you want to do with it.

i upgrade my 6d mkii for the 5d mkiv, now im usin 5d mk iii and 5d mkiv, and i buy recently the canon R, this last is a hybrid of the 6d mkiv and 6d mkii, and i use alot for photography, and the mark iv is amazing untill now, better than R.
Interesting - I'm looking to get the Canon R later this year... but if you think that the IV is better then maybe I'll wait till the next Canon FF comes out?? What do you think?

I have a 7D Mark II, and I want to buy a 5D Mark III to use it as a main body, leaving the 7D as a secondary one. I think the newer R series cameras show a more obvious advancement - particularly for video, focusing systems and continuous shooting rates 👌☝️

I had a Mark II and a 6D and I now have a Mark IV. The big thing for me is the wifi which allows me to view the images on my pad while shooting. The Mark III does not have this feature.
That is definitely a massive plus for me too - especially in a world where we want instant uploads to social media - or to just get the image on the phone for editing 👌👌
Which one is better in photography and videography, Canon 250d having 24-105 MM or Canon 5D IV having 24-105mm lens ?
So I actually purchased a Eos R and Eos Rp for pro photo work and then decided to "downgrade" the Rp to the 5d iii. I just couldnt get past not having a second card slot. It's crazy how a camera that came out 8 years ago is still very relevant for photo work!

It’s always been relevant. The problem is with people thinking it’s not relevant because they want the newest cool guy mirrorless camera.

Hey Riaz, I just ordered my EOS-R hopefully will be delivered this week! The 5DMark iii is still amazing for photos! In fact I’m planning a 2020 update video for the 5DMarkiii I used to use it as my A-Cam for video ... but I do personally feel that the video performance when compared to the Mark IV is not as good, although many here will probably say install magic lantern to get your video looking just as good. (:

Good question - if it’s commercial and you’ve got the money get a 5DmarkIV. I still think it’s one of the best all round cameras for photos and videos (: I still use mine for commercial projects (:
2022 I use a canon 5D Mark ii. I mainly shoot still life flowers n foliage

I’ve just purchased a MK3 in January 2023 it’s a mint condition 9+ grade with 6000 shutter count , getting back into photography after 10 years, not interested in video, but there’s always Magic Lantern for good raw video.
I picked up a mk iii last year with the 24-105 L lens for $1000. It has only a 3300 shutter count.
I would go for the MK3 as I never shoot video so there is little reason for me to pay for all that extra development cost that I shall never use. It is my impression the Mk3 is more robust better for travel.
I'm a total fan of *5D Classic* and just additionally bought *Mark II* (which is a bit of disappointment after the Classic really), so it's kinda too early to talk Mark III and IV, LOL 😀 Anyway, I don not exclude trying out all four of them one day...
I have 5d mark iv i mainly use it for video I need 5d mark 3 to use as a second camera is that practical to use them both at the same time.
Absolutely- this was my set up for a couple of years - shooting corporate videos with the 5DmarkIV and Markiii ( Just make sure you use the picture profiles and not Clog on the MarkIV) 👍

I have both but mk4 has noticeably better dynamic range and AE performance/accuracy, important for some outdoor uses. mk3 is good enough for indoor use.
Hi, I managed to get 5D mark iii cheap at the time end of 2020 for mere £500 including battery grip, I have not seen cheaper maybe one or two I might have missed. I do have the 5D mark i and ii. I find 5D mark ii is easy to work with and iii, there is a lot of change that I have to custom to this, in time I will have master that iii and ready to take pictures.
I guess it boils down to you get what you pay for. The iv is a far superior camera in all departments and is the one to buy. The differances between them is too huge to ignore, so knowing what you want and why should push you to the iv. I just bought one used for 2300 Cdn. With under 13000 frame count. Steal of a deal in my mind saving 12-1300 over buying new. The same with lenses, shop around and you'll find great deals. I just bought a 24-105 ii for 800$ Cdn. A 2xiii extender for 385$ and a100-400 I for $950. All great deals.
Forget the extender ! Just crop - you’ll get better quality !
I have a 5dlll bought brand new in 2016. I am an enthusiast not making money with my camera. Should I still upgrade to the 5dlV if photo is my main use for it? I was thinking of upgrading when the EOS 5R comes out. What do you think?
I’ve never regretted upgrading my mark iii to Mark iv :) but still have my mark iii . I’m definitely on all the updates of the R5 - I’m eager to know what the price tag is and whether I have to remortgage my house or not 😂😅

I have both cameras and both are very good. They are beautiful work tools compared to the Nikon and Sony cameras. The Canon menu system is really the very best. I do find that the latititude of the 5Dmk4 is far better than the 5D Mk3, including fabulous resolution ..
Yes - I loved the 5D Markiii when I first got it - but have since left it in favour for the MarkIV due to DPAF for video and the resolution - I also have the official C-Log on my Mark IV installed by Canon supplier which makes me want to use it for filming all the time.
What is the chance 5D Mk.5 will be released?
I've given a lot of thought about upgrading my 5D3 to 4, but the question of buying it in 2019 aside, it's not particularly cheap for how old and low spec it is. Unless there's 5D5 I'm making a shift to Sony mirrorless.
Good question - I'm also wondering what Canon will do in this area.

We stayed with mkiii as its hardly worth upgrading even though cost isnt really an issue, just common sense really..
Mark III + magic lantern pretty much obliterates the Mark IV in terms of video quality. Too bad the Mark III was released before DPAF started to appear in Canon's DSLRs (70D being the first in 2013). Hybrid AF which appeared on the 650 is prone to banding when performing shadow recovery (and even some modern sensors with this tech still experience this).

Why should I spend that much for a pre owned when I can buy eos R mirror less which is new technology, faster and adaptable with all my canon lenses
