*Updates:* (11/30/2021): Annoyingly, RUclips has removed the public dislike count. If you'd like to see the dislike count on this video, I suggest installing the 'Return RUclips Dislike' extension (Firefox, Chrome, Edge).
Hmm, normally the light turns green when there's something wrong with the battery. Still, getting a replacement battery would be the first thing to try.
@@TheLastMillennial thank you so much for your reply. I tried a new battery. It worked fine, until that battery got empty. That one doesn't charge also.
Hmm that's really odd. That leads me to believe that there's an issue with the charging circuit. You can try to reinstall the OS but I'm doubtful it will help ruclips.net/video/8HlPgS0elRM/видео.html. If your calculator is less than a year old then I'd contact TI Cares and get a replacement calculator.
I'd suggest pressing the RAM reset button on the back of the calculator. If you need any help you can watch my tutorial here: ruclips.net/video/8HlPgS0elRM/видео.html
When I plug in the charger there's a green light, but my battery icon stays red. The screen also tells me that it isn't charging when I ran the test even though it's plugged in.
Oh dear, I apologize this got buried under a bunch of other comments! There's only a few apps that are of any use. Periodic is a nice periodic table app. PlySmlt2 is a good quadratic solver. Conics is good for referring to the equation of an ellipse. Inequalz can be good if you need to graph inequalities but it's SUPER slow. Transfrm is fine for moving a graph around the screen, but it's so slow I never use it. Prob Sim is a fun bordom killer. CabriJr, EasyData, Hub, and SmartPad will never be used in my experience.
I did the test for the battery, says it is less than 5% that its charging and there is a orange outline, but I am not getting an LED light? Going to let it sit for a couple of hours to see. But of course its exam day. lol Thanks for the helpful tips!
In layman terms: it's what makes your calculator turn on properly.Or in more complex terms: "Boot code is basically "instructions" that are run by a computer when it is starting up. The boot code helps the computer prepare the system for loading and running an operating system, but boot code itself is typically not operating system specific. Without boot code, a computer would likely not boot up correctly, if at all."-www.computerhope.com/jargon/b/bootcode.htm

sounds like a lot of work to see 3 dislikes
The extension doesn't only work on just this video ;)
I agree it's work that a viewer shouldn't have to go through.
I cannot thank you enough for this video you put up 6 years ago...hope all is going well for you thanks m8!!
When I start the test it doesn't show a list of tests just a 5 digit #23522 what does that mean? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
thank you so much
In mine, the battery is empty, it won't charge, led stays red when connecting to charger and nothing else happens. Please help.

@@TheLastMillennial I also think it's the charging ciruit. Thanks anyway!
It wouldn’t affect anything after the test?
The ram will be cleared. That is all.
I have a problem where my screen is just white and I can capture screenshots to TI Connect, but the screen is just white and I cant see my inputs

I love the kerbal space program music😂

Likely the calculator detected something was wrong with your battery. Try replacing it and making sure the contact points aren't bent out of shape.
thanks for the video. I checked the test on battery, the test shows that it is charging but
Yes it sounds like your battery health is low and you should replace it. How long does the battery last on a 'full' charge for you?
@@TheLastMillennial thanks for your reply. I try to fix for my student. I will ask her then. Thanks!
I did the RAM test my screen went black and it will not turn on
That's odd. Try holding down the reset button on the back of the calculator for at least 2 seconds.
@@TheLastMillennial I got it i held down 2nd and del then hit the reset button
Is there a list of the most useful apps for TI-84 Plus CE? Thanks
