domino2515 Terrace Martin recorded that song before the album's release and Kendrick decided to use a snippet of it for The Blacker The Berry, then Terrace released the full version of the recorded song in his album Velvet Portraits a year later

Terrace Martin was actually a producer on TPAB, so he probably wrote that beat for Kendrick and then turned it into his own song. Or he wrote it as his own song and then used it on TPAB before he released his album

1) A lot of those are interpolations, not samples
2) I'm impressed by just how much live instrumentation is used on the album

I don't know if you read these things, but I think you should do a CLPPNG by clipping next. I'm SURE they used a fuck ton of samples. Or possibly Jeffery by Young Thug. I don't know if that's really a good example, because i'm not sure how many samples he used, and judging by your previous videos if you are going by albums you enjoy, I doubt it's something you would want to do. Just something to consider I guess.

I think a lot of people got the reference but on king kunta when you hear the deep voice say "By the time you hear the next shot...", is a reference to Light Speed (at the end of the song) on The Chronic 2001 by Dre.
This isn't just samples, this is inspirations and references as well, the thundercat thing isn't a sampled, he just helped producing the album and played that.
