The Quote- "Self Love, It's what drives some people, it's what keeps me going. Nobody can hold you down. Empower yourself. Beautiful song with a message that will stay true forever"
This is easily one of the most complex and greatest albums ever made. There's so much to digest that there's almost no way to understand it all first few listens. I recommend watching videos which do a great job at showing just how many layers and thoughts went into every aspect of the making of this album, its amazing. Even when you think you understand a song entirely, you can find another thing elsewhere which completely opens up your mind and doubles its meaning. On "These Walls" for example, I picked up fast that the second verse was about the prison cell walls of the womans lover, but it wasnt til later that I picked up that that man was also the man who killed Kendricks friend from the song "Sing About Me, Im Dying of Thirst". That completely blew me away. The fact that hes using his "power" as a "famous rapper" to get back at him for killing his friend by having sex with his lover. This album is amazing and generational to say the least.
The Podcast Dissect did a incredible job breaking this ablum down trqck by track that would be cool if you reacted to it on your channel or maybe on your Patron.

I feel like in Wesley's Theory, the chorus (at first I did love you...) is actually him talking about Lucy, AKA Lucifer, AKA Uncle Sam, AKA money in general. He's saying he loved and clung to his fortune, but now he realizes he doesn't love money, he just wants to use it. The bridges he burned accordingly could be referring to multiple things, such as the spot in heaven referenced later in the album.
Oh, OutKast changed the rap scene forever. They were so open and free with their themselves and their sound in an era of rap that tended to express a harder/tougher side of life. They still go into serious and thoughtful topics, but they really were creative and opened the rap world to what the South can do. They influenced a lot of Atlanta rap, like EARTHGANG. They weren't even accepted by the culture at first, but they gained the acceptance of the culture and changed it forever. They are truly pioneers and legends in their own right.
I always said how Earthgang reminded me of Outkast before I found out they were from Atlanta and it's because of their style the way they present themselves it really brought me back to those times when I started drinking at 8 years old playing dominoes with my dad my uncle and my older brother and we had the 100 disc changer in the stereo and listen to every single outcast album back to back those were the days bro 😅

The rabbit hole into Kendrick Lamar's artistry gets cult like once you listen to all the "LEAKED" "Unreleased" work. The man literally has albums of reference tracks on RUclips. SOOO GOOD!!!
I'm so happy to see this upload today. This album effected me in ways I can't possibly explain. Wesley's Theory and u are masterpieces to me and I hope you liked the album as much as I did or more so.

41:44 i love how you’re laughing along with pac and kendrick like you’re apart of the conversation too. mortal man, i and u are absolutely perfect songs. perfect. again, another great reaction path
I just love how U works, the beat matches the feeling and energy of Kendrick, the fast pace somewhat angry flow with the more upbeat unnerving beat and when he's starting to break down, the beat is half timed and very slow with simple but drawn out sounds. Its fucking fantastic.
This album legitimately changed the way I enjoyed music since. I had never heard anything like it up until that point, I was always listening to whatever was popular or well known. To this day, 7 years later, everytime I hear the last poem Kendrick reads, I legit get chills, sometimes I even get choked up. It truly is my favorite album of all time and I am so glad I found it when I did.
Probably my favorite album of all time, when I heard this album I was 16 years old in high school and it really was the culmination for me going from black boy to a black man. It was released at the right time and I hold it close to my heart. I'm glad you liked it and btw I luv your reactions and how much care and luv you put into it, keep doing yo thang ❤
What I love so much about this album is even the music, like the instrumentals, tell the same story. Like in King Kunta the octave goes up every time he repeats the hook, or how he’s breathing in For Sale because he was just “running for answers”. Just so good I’m glad you finally experienced this
One of my favorite examples of musical storytelling on this album is how Kendrick utilizes rhythm and the nature of the musical measure to reinforce the lyrical concepts on Momma. If you listen to his flow in each verse, a lot of the lines start after the downbeat of each bar and he's also rhyming across the bar line which gives an off-beat/syncopated feeling to his flow almost like it's wandering around. For context the downbeat, the first beat of a bar, is the strongest or most stressed beat in a bar or measure of music. At the end of each verse, the word "home" always lands on the downbeat of the bar which provides a strong feeling of resolution, like you're finally landing at home since he has been avoiding the downbeat a lot and 'wandering' throughout the verse. Just like how in the poem he talks about how he went running for answers until he found home.
@@n8gr8films I studied music in college and this album came out during my senior year, so I was able to do my senior project analyzing and researching the musical context of this album in relation to the history of African American popular music as a whole. I'm not surprised that this album kick started a podcast like Dissect, has been written about in academic music journals, and even had entire books written about it. It's so lyrically and musically dense and is truly a masterpiece in my eyes
As a white European teen back when this was released (and even now), this album really helped me to get a sense of social injustices in the US. A topic that was very objective to me was suddenly connected with emotions and personal experiences. That‘s not where this album stops though. I feel like a lot of Kendrick‘s messages a applicable to social and structural issues all over the world, which makes me come back to it over and over again and take new learnings away from every listen. Add that to the personal struggle he describes on many of the songs and I have a hard time finding a more thought out and layered album out right now. I‘m forever grateful to Kendrick for releasing TPAB. Also, really appreciate your reactions. I‘m usually a quiet watcher of yours, but I had to comment on this one 🫡
I really do appreciate that u didn't skip any of the poem. It's what truly wraps this perfect album together, like a bow. And this album was a gift to us. At times I wish I was listening to it for the first time again. What an amazing experience it was. It opened my eyes to ideas and underlying issues I never considered, like I was a caterpillar and Kendrick was the butterfly. Thank you for taking this journey with us Path.
On my first listen to this I really didn’t like it, but after hearing so many people talk about how good this album was I decided to give it another try and now it’s in my top three favorite albums of all time. Really don’t know what happened that first time
the long awaited. i am so so excited to see your reaction, it is simply his most beautiful, thought out and important album he’s ever made. I hope you enjoyed this as much as we all did on first listen! Can’t wait for more path videos 😎
this is so high quality! i know you're over 100K subs, but you're seriously gonna blow up any day now. this is insane, i know its a few months old but this is just fantastic. other people have said it but it really feels more like an analysis than just a reaction video. its like a whole different type of video. some kind of like... live analysis almost. great work!
whats wild is that i uploaded this reaction at 68k. its been such an incredible journey. im glad so many people connect with me on these albums 🥹 thank you joey
Woah! This was recommended to me and i clicked it just cuz i love this album, and i wasn't expecting such an attentively produced/edited/presented video like this. Very cool to see some more profound interactions with music rather than the usual "reactions" going around around here.
This album has so many layers too it, and so many songs on this album strike a chord with me. How Much a Dollar Cost has to be Kendricks best song imo. The imagery he creates and the messages is just masterfully done. That song doesn't even need a music video because you can see it just like he describes. Glad to finally see your reaction!
The way this shit made me feel the first day I found it (2015-2016). Wesley’s Theory opening the album. I’ll never forget that feeling. Every Kendrick album has given me a similar feeling sense, but never quite like Wesley’s Theory. Not surprised Thundercat did the bass and was apart of that chorus. Perfect pairing. This album. Wonderful piece of art from hip hop and rap.
I can’t describe this album any better so I’ll just copy and paste my comments from Bob’s video 👍: People often use hyperbole when describing music or just things they love in general, but this album is literally one of - if not the most lyrically dense album ever made. It’s hard to even describe how much weight it holds and the amount of meaning it possess. It’s really more than an album. Although this type of praise seems overzealous and even unnecessary, once you go down the rabbit hole of research/ simply listening and discovering the different meanings it’s very difficult to dismiss. While I don’t like to throw around the word “genius” this is an album that could only be made by someone with an astute understanding of the world at large and more importantly themself.
Indeed, this album is one of the most album aver made One thing I find interesting, is how despite how massive of a deal this was, nobody in the game tried to really replicate what kindred put out here. With most big albums you do see some sort of creative uhh appreciation, but this time it was different. Part of it could be due to soundcloud rap rising so much at the time, another could be from how this album is so clearly an assortment of countless craftsmen at their apex, you can't realistically try replicating it without being clearly watered down.
This album is easily my all time favourite, its a multi-layered, incredibly well produced piece of art, whilst its incredible listening to it from start to finish and follow the story many of the songs can still be played by themselves and still be really enjoyable when they pop up in your playlist.
I've been waiting for this reaction since your first Kendrick reaction video. This is in conversation for the best and Greatest hip-hop albums. The story within the other albums in his discography makes it even better. Every time I put on Kendricks stuff it just makes me love everyone involved in this more. Everyone is top tier.
It’s crazy how Kendrick got 2 of the greatest albums of all time. Back to back classics, arguably a 3rd with Damn. We’re witnessing history. Love to all
Drake referenced the ‘this d ain’t free’ line in one of his songs but was so unaware of himself that the ghostwriter line went over his head. Kenny knew about the ghosts at least three years before Meek did. Kenny literally dissed him and his lifestyle when he featured on Take Care, but crodie still put it out - not an ounce of media literacy.

@@indigovindictive2097 literally nothing is better, not nas, biggie, pac, jay, weezy, outkast, none of them have an album as good, let alone better than tpab. Doom is an exception, I think it’s either between madvillainy or tpab for the top spot. Artistically speaking you could also argue for some Kanye albums but they obviously don’t have the depth and storytelling that tpab or madvillainy has. Artistically they’re damn near unreachable tho
It's actually kinda cool that your point of reference for Kendrick is Mr Morale/big steppers. It gives you like a retrospective point of view on his past works/ struggles. Glad you enjoyed his music, I definitely enjoyed being on this ride through your Kendrick journey. : )
It makes my heart full to see someone approaching this art form with empathy and respect the way you do. A part of it is entertainment, but I think a part falling in love with it seeing the identity and pride it embodies for a people. I am so happy right now for finding your channel. Thank you ❤❤❤❤
I was listening to TPAB in the car yesterday and the jump in emotion from u to Alright gave me immediate whiplash. Kendrick is so good at composing his albums in ways that are both artful and banging. He's probably the best artist I know at forcing you to feel an emotion if you engage critically with his work.
The second half of U still has me in a chokehold. Like I tear up and the first time I heard this song, I had to play it back. Kendrick Lamar ability to put himself in other shoes and then reflect on his life. It’s so crazy
I know, thinking that while Kendrick is reading the poem that pac is fading with a smile or something like that, it gets me in my feels I love this album so damn much that even tho im not African American I can connect and appreciate the music and words,
i always come back to this album when i truly feel lost in this world. when i doubt myself or my friends for no reason. when i lose sight of a goal i have in mind or when i'm depressed paranoia and misinterpreting things and motives. somehow this albums makes my mind clear and makes me think clearly and calm my head down and remind myself that its okay to be lost. to be sad and to even get overwhelmed. we're only human, its natural. just gotta keep my head high, and to start loving myself more
This was incredible. I’ve listened to TPAB probably over 100 times and have dissected it numerous time, but to see you react to it made me feel like I was listening for the first time. I got emotional in a way that I haven’t listening to the album in a long time. Keep these up
This is my favourite album of all time. Listened to it countless times at this point start to finish. The references and the manner they are made in are genius. Every song is a chapter which form this tragic yet beautiful story.
I don't know how many times I had chills watching this video... amazing work on understanding and explaining what the album is and your perspective as well path!! thank you
this is my favorite react channel you do everything so well and i love all the insight and overlays into the songs without having to see someone pause every second
One of my favorite things out of this channel is the voice over. Hearing your thoughts AS we watch your reaction is far more intriguing than guessing what you could be thinking in a specific moment. Top tier !
I was expecting a typical reaction video but this is really excellently done and recontextualizes the "reaction" genre. Edit: Also really appreciate that you make effort to sync the beat when you skip segments.
Well this is one year later. I’m a huge Kendrick fan, this album had a massive impact in my life and i swear i cried with you when you reached “u”. It’s like he wrote the songs for the souls of his fans and today i feel like Mr. Moral was made for me! You did a great putting this video together. It feel so aligned and i enjoyed every second watching it.
This has to be his most beautifully crafted album, from the beats to every song, every verse, every emotion put into those verses, down to the few features the album has. I also love the duality he has in his songs, it's always a completely different tone from one to another according to the conflict he has with himself and his thoughts. Undoubtedly the album of this decade.
Always cool to see someone dip their toes into a new genre! I hope you continue to have fun exploring all types of music. I appreciate the fact that you clearly enjoy the music but can also approach it with such thoughtfulness and introspection.
What a journey that reaction was! I can't even imagine how difficult it has been to prepare, record and edit this video. As always, perfect execution, Path!!! Really glad that you manage to pull this off and was able to portrait all your emotions and thoughts on an album that is more than 1 hour long. Also, it was truly inspiring hearing that you came from a very traditional/religious upbring and that's the main reason you didn't listen to a bunch of rap prior to this phase. Surely there is a lot of people that has a similar background and opening up about it is very important to us to realize that is okay to not know all of the metaphors and references of this culture, but to respect it and try to understand is our job as human beigns. Can't wait to see what's next, but, again, congrats a lot!!! btw, you mentioned your desire to expand more on conscious rappers and I think that's a fantastic idea! I would suggest the following albums: - Black on Both Sides - Mos Def - The Low End Theory - A Tribe Called Quest - Things Fall Apart - The Roots - Cheat Codes - Danger Mouse and Black Thought - It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back - Public Enemy - Straight Outta Compton - N.W.A
ohhh thank you so much for the kind words and for the recommendations! will definitely keep these in mind, been looking into mos def & the cheat codes album already!
This one is tough to digest on first listen. But after a couple of listens not only do you hear clearly what he's saying, every song starts to have profound meaning you can relate to. At least for me that's what happened. Best album of all time for me.
The format of these videos is actually amazing, watching your initial perspective and hearing your developed thoughts overlayed is just the most perfect presentation of this medium. I've been binging your videos and being able to watch your reactions and hear your thoughts always strikes so much harder than the other reaction content on RUclips. Thank you for pushing the envelope!
I'm so glad to see this video in my sub box today. I believe this is one of the best albums ever. Absolute yes to checking out SZA's and Tupac's discographies. I definitely think you'd enjoy J.Cole's discography mainly because, like Kendrick, he talks about his growth as a person a lot and you can see the evolution in his style and outlook on life throughout his discography. As I'm scrolling through the comments, I saw someone recommend Outkast/Andre 3000 and Isaiah Rashad. I feel like those would be perfect. Of course I'll keep throwing Saba's Care For Me out there also lol. This was a great reaction to TPAB and I'm glad you enjoyed it! Looking forward to seeing more reactions and your thoughts on other albums.
i stumbled across this video cause i am currently obsessing over kendrick and while listening to tpab i got curious on what the entire album means as from what i heard kendrick is one of the best if not the best lyrical artist and damn i teared up while watching this especially u hits hard men. btw your voice is sooo relaxing and youre so prettyyyy makes this review a lot more than review
The fact that Kendrick had been reciting the poem he’d been reading excerpts from the entire album to Tupac gets me every time. The first time I listened to this album, my Spotify crashed after the last song finished and I was just in disbelief. One of the best albums of all time.
You should 100% go through Outkasts discography and give Andre 3000’s feature versus some listens. One of his best verses unfortunately is on a Kanye track called Life Of The Party. I would still very much recommend listening to Andres verse on this song. I don’t wanna say to much about to avoid spoiling it but I guarantee you will like it. Great reaction as always.
I grew up similarly to how you did, religious fam, not really liking rap or hip hop, but honestly after discovering Kendrick after the Drake beef I'm upset i never heard these masterpieces earlier. So much power and meaning in each song he drops.
This album is just truly a masterpiece and a once in a lifetime opportunity to listen to, so many emotions and feelings in it and it’s beautiful. Kendrick feels like the successor of pac and it is doing an amazing job with it
Thanks for the reaction, imo this is Kendrick’s best album. And I think you should definitely check out SZA, she’s an amazing vocalist and has an album coming out in a few days. Andre 3k and outkast are a must listen too. Isaiah Rashad is another artist that you should check out, he’s on the label TDE which is Kendrick’s old label and SZA’s current label.
I’m currently in college and have hated writing papers all my life. I have never been good at it and it has been something I’ve always dreaded. But about a year ago now I was able to write a college essay diving into to pimp a butterfly and all the emotions and meaning expressed throughout it and I had never enjoyed writing so much in my life. This album has so much depth and so much meaning it’s truly beautiful to listen to and extremely fun to research and dive into. Without a doubt one of the greatest albums to come out of hip hop, especially in recent time. Amazing reaction as always. I look forward to the next one :).
From your intuitive means of dissecting this music, to your high-bar of production quality, you've taken one of the greatest albums of all time and shed a new light on the work I haven't seen in my many years of listening to Lamar. Thank you much for your content! Happy to have come across your videos!
"You Aint Gotta Lie" is my favourite song off the album as of late. Its such a slick and groovy anthem of being yourself, instead of continuing to wear the masks we wear as "The Stranger"
Thank you for doing this reaction! A while ago commented on your community tab about the endless analysis that one could dive into with this album, and I was really excited to see that you finally uploaded your reaction. Funny coincidence but just yesterday, I showed this album to one of my best friends for the first time, and now you've uploaded your reaction the next day! :o
another interesting detail of the dynamic of u and i is that i was a single, but he changed it slightly for the album. the main difference is that on the album version of i is actually a performance of the single version. it may be a reach, but the setting of each song adds so much to the duality, with one being a broken shattered man's frantic screams in his bathroom and the other being an electric superstar's performance, but at the end of the day, that superstar and broken man can one in the same
I love everything about this album. Especially the song "u". One of the most relatable i've ever listened to. Kendrick Lamar’s “u” talks a lot about his internal and also external battles. When Lamar says, “loving you is complicated.” I believe he is talking to himself but is also quoting how others feel about him as well. The external battle is shown a lot in the second verse when he says, “A friend never leave Compton for profit or leave his best friend little brother, you promised you’d watch him before they shot him, where was your antennas, on the road bottles and bitches..” This part of the second verse highlights the external battle a lot. Leaving Compton for profit is what Kendrick had to do because of touring and business, but his friends think he’s leaving them. This is a stretch but I believe that a friend of Kendrick asked him to watch over his little brother. Asking where he was when his little brother got shot and Kendrick is hurt beside he was on the road partying and performing instead of watching his little brother. This is all a stretch but it’s what his lyrics say to me. 🖤🐛🦋🎧🎼

Wtf! This girl is soooo damn good I can't even call her a reaction channel! Keep it up man you're killing it
41:44 i love how you’re laughing along with pac and kendrick like you’re apart of the conversation too. mortal man, i and u are absolutely perfect songs. perfect.
again, another great reaction path
The most anticipated album reaction of the decade
momma is my favorite off the album, “i know if i’m generous at heart, i don’t need recognition”
The way I’m rewarded?, well that’s gods decision.
And you KNOW that line’s just for Compton school districts. Just give to the kids don’t gossip about HOW it’s distributed
for me the lyrics dominate the song and there isn’t enough musically to enjoy it that much
@@crytstalcrustdid we listen to the same song? Maybe I would agree if u was talking about mortal man of something but nah
@@crytstalcrustHow about the amazing knxwledge production?
I'm glad you liked it and btw I luv your reactions and how much care and luv you put into it, keep doing yo thang ❤
man i cant even imagine how pivotal this album would be for you. thank you for sharing
What I love so much about this album is even the music, like the instrumentals, tell the same story. Like in King Kunta the octave goes up every time he repeats the hook, or how he’s breathing in For Sale because he was just “running for answers”. Just so good I’m glad you finally experienced this
absolutely incredible!
@@papa_p4965 if I could like this comment twice, I would
@@n8gr8films I studied music in college and this album came out during my senior year, so I was able to do my senior project analyzing and researching the musical context of this album in relation to the history of African American popular music as a whole.

Really don’t know what happened that first time
hahaha it happens 🥹
the long awaited. i am so so excited to see your reaction, it is simply his most beautiful, thought out and important album he’s ever made.
I can’t describe this album any better so I’ll just copy and paste my comments from Bob’s video 👍:
People often use hyperbole when describing music or just things they love in general, but this album is literally one of - if not the most lyrically dense album ever made.
Enjoyed reading it then and I enjoy reading it now :)
@@bobthepoppop love how you watch Paths videos too. great Ctrl video btw Bob!
I just finished watching his reaction 😭
Crazy to think that this might not even be his best written project, I genuinely believe Mr. Morale is in this level of meaning and nuance.
Indeed, this album is one of the most album aver made
One thing I find interesting, is how despite how massive of a deal this was, nobody in the game tried to really replicate what kindred put out here.
Just saw Kendrick in concert last night! He was so incredible and put a lot of work into making sure his performance was engaging :)
hope you had a good show!!! it was amazing when i went in oct!
i absolutely love the way you're able to dissect it. i can tell you're so passionate ab this and it's so refreshing to see
These Walls was amazing when I had first heard it. & Momma. I love this album.. It’s a shame it didn’t win a Grammy award. Thank you for the video!
It’s crazy how Kendrick got 2 of the greatest albums of all time. Back to back classics, arguably a 3rd with Damn. We’re witnessing history. Love to all
two top ten albums lol
Kendrick has had a pretty good 6 album run with section 80, GKMC, TPAB, untitled, Damn, and Mr Morale ngl. All are good or great albums
@@joshuapittman4663 i agree bruh, legendary run
Drake referenced the ‘this d ain’t free’ line in one of his songs but was so unaware of himself that the ghostwriter line went over his head. Kenny knew about the ghosts at least three years before Meek did. Kenny literally dissed him and his lifestyle when he featured on Take Care, but crodie still put it out - not an ounce of media literacy.
This album has consumed me for the last month and a half. I’m so happy to share this with you.

@@indigovindictive2097 literally nothing is better, not nas, biggie, pac, jay, weezy, outkast, none of them have an album as good, let alone better than tpab. This album impacted me so much when it first came out. I'm glad you're able to experience it!
Tupac not responding back at the end of Mortal Man is absolutely perfect. I cry every time I get to the end of the Album.
I know, thinking that while Kendrick is reading the poem that pac is fading with a smile or something like that, it gets me in my feels I love this album so damn much that even tho im not African American I can connect and appreciate the music and words,
this album is a masterpiece. i literally never get sick of it
Literal best album of all time
i always come back to this album when i truly feel lost in this world. when i doubt myself or my friends for no reason. when i lose sight of a goal i have in mind or when i'm depressed paranoia and misinterpreting things and motives. somehow this albums makes my mind clear and makes me think clearly and calm my head down and remind myself that its okay to be lost. to be sad and to even get overwhelmed. we're only human, its natural. just gotta keep my head high, and to start loving myself more
thank you so much for sharing. i definitely see myself revisiting this album when things get tough. we're gonna be alright

Sza’s CTRL and J Cole’s 2014 FHD are a must listen
Loved the reaction Path ❤️
This collection still brings tears to my eyes and invigorates my soul. Composed perfectly!
Always cool to see someone dip their toes into a new genre! I hope you continue to have fun exploring all types of music. I appreciate the fact that you clearly enjoy the music but can also approach it with such thoughtfulness and introspection.
This one should’ve also won a Pulitzer Prize.
I would suggest the following albums:
- Black on Both Sides - Mos Def
- The Low End Theory - A Tribe Called Quest
- Things Fall Apart - The Roots
- Cheat Codes - Danger Mouse and Black Thought
- It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back - Public Enemy
- Straight Outta Compton - N.W.A
ohhh thank you so much for the kind words and for the recommendations! will definitely keep these in mind, been looking into mos def & the cheat codes album already!
Cheat codes is amazing!!! Things fall apart is also a masterpiece, black thought on the mic with the incredible live instrumentation by the roots
PATH AND KENDRICK, THE BEST COMBOO🥺♥️
This one is tough to digest on first listen. But after a couple of listens not only do you hear clearly what he's saying, every song starts to have profound meaning you can relate to. At least for me that's what happened. Best album of all time for me.
The format of these videos is actually amazing, watching your initial perspective and hearing your developed thoughts overlayed is just the most perfect presentation of this medium. I've been binging your videos and being able to watch your reactions and hear your thoughts always strikes so much harder than the other reaction content on RUclips.

The fact that Kendrick had been reciting the poem he’d been reading excerpts from the entire album to Tupac gets me every time. The first time I listened to this album, my Spotify crashed after the last song finished and I was just in disbelief. One of the best albums of all time.
this album is truly a masterpeice not just in hip hop or music, but in the most basic artistic form. Amazing video!!!
So many beautiful little moments on this album.

The greatest themed album I’ve ever heard still to this date. Incredible work.
Glad you loved it. This is my 2nd favorite album at all time
From your intuitive means of dissecting this music, to your high-bar of production quality, you've taken one of the greatest albums of all time and shed a new light on the work I haven't seen in my many years of listening to Lamar. Thank you much for your content! Happy to have come across your videos!
"You Aint Gotta Lie" is my favourite song off the album as of late. Its such a slick and groovy anthem of being yourself, instead of continuing to wear the masks we wear as "The Stranger"

Funny coincidence but just yesterday, I showed this album to one of my best friends for the first time, and now you've uploaded your reaction the next day! :o
what did your friend think??
@@pathreacts She really enjoyed it and was speechless after the first listen
another interesting detail of the dynamic of u and i is that i was a single, but he changed it slightly for the album.
the main difference is that on the album version of i is actually a performance of the single version.
it may be a reach, but the setting of each song adds so much to the duality, with one being a broken shattered man's frantic screams in his bathroom and the other being an electric superstar's performance, but at the end of the day, that superstar and broken man can one in the same
So excited for this reaction vid! One of my favourite albums ever.
The amount of thought u place into your reactions and explanations are very nice to watch
