I first saw you on one of Troy Grady's videos, and I've been sharing your vids with all my friends ever since. Let me just say you are now one of my favorite guitarists. I think I have a lot to learn from you my friend.
Johnny Patterson man i also got to know about him from Grady bec he alternate picked three string arpeggios which i have been practicing ever sonce - he is incredible player and he is a virtuoso of new generation guys like him inspire me so much😎
Hi Martin a big thank for sharing these very useful technical exercises , i hope there' ll be also the backing tracks and tabs of your upcoming album available on jamtrackcentral .
Really nice exercises, these work amazingly well as warmups for me, just brings blood to my left hand so nicely! Do you do these with hammeron/pulloff legato or do you do them with Allan Holdsworth-ian(hammeron only/liftoff) legato? And would you consider any of them preferable or ways? Just want your thoughts on that, looking very much forward to buying your album in february!
Ich versuch herauszufinden, was mir an einer Sache Schwierigkeiten bereitet und löse die Probleme dann häppchenweise. Wenn es zb. eine Überstreckung oder ein Saitenwechsel ist übe ich den sozusagen individuell.
Your playing is pretty different know, less technical but more melodic and less robotic. Your JTC 20 fusion licks is open my eyes to deep dive to learn jazz fusion
It is most likely in F mixolydian as he is hitting F chord at the end (0:29) and implying the mode. Although you can apply this line to other modes like C dorian/G aeorian/Eb lydian/Bb ionian/A locrian/D phrigian as these (and F mixolydian) are all derived from Bb major scale (see the key signature of the score).
try all kinda scales n learn coordinate right hand picking with left hand ,3 note per string scales and le gato , start normal speed 88bpm on just 2 strings back n forth , like eg , frets 7 8 10 n another string 7 8 10 , if you know major monor scales , you can build muscles memory and even play simple scales 1 eye close , took me 3 yrs build speed , i watch lotsa videos by paul gilbert vai ,learn my mistakes , yeh but i did throw my guitar aside to party wih friends but went back to my rock pal n re-learn as got inspired at least im an intermediate player , keep up perseverance dude i know keeping up finger strength and Stamina is another thing how this guitar gods maintain
This guy is pissing me off.....I have been playing for almost 40 years....I thought hybrid picking was for country players....trying to learn hybrid at my age is like playing left handed.
the runs are great and right after you put the notation and tab ,this make it so much easier to learn,no changing pages just to get the tab thanx
Great skill as always! And displaying the notation for each run makes this one of the most generous and useful youtube entries.
Thanks!

Hi my friend
Could u please share me how to play sequences that you played in video Electric gypsi with Andi T(2.45-2.46)🙏
I like it so much🙏
Your playing is pretty different know, less technical but more melodic and less robotic. Your JTC 20 fusion licks is open my eyes to deep dive to learn jazz fusion

bravissimo ....ottimo insegnante .............
They're all great... it's funny number 5 gives me the most trouble and it's the easiest one
Awesome!!!
Great lesson..thanks!
Thanks.
rock on !
You wouldn't happen to have any tips on getting your pull-offs that smooth, would you? The descending portions are always what gives me trouble.
I can hear some Tom Quayle in these lines :) nice
S82 Exactly at 1:48
S82 like that !
because some are Quayle licks just transcribed by Miller
Excelente
GREAT....!!!
Thank. You.
So clean. D:
how does he do it so smooth! Mine are jerky n stuff
quick question. if i'm gonna use metronome for the lick #1 what will be the tempo? thanks. sorry for asking. hehe
grande martin
Martin can haz play any lick
โคตรโหด เบย !
THANK!!! :)
My problem with hybrid picking is when to use it🙂 is it every other string or it depends?🙂
MaMi ! Do inversion of #7 ( in descending motion)...the negative one!
Que genial :)
excellent playing! quick question how do you get that snap like tone/sound?
You are too good just stop making videos so I don't want to punch myself in the face all the time >.<
how long would it take a beginner to learn these runs? i just recently learned barre chords if that gives you any context to base off
You shouldn’t bother until you’re a few years in and got some solid foundational skills.
@@MartinMillerGuitar thanks! ill be back in a few years
You take lesson from Greg Howe don't you?
everytime i hear someone play a suhr it has the certain thing in the tone that i am looking for in a guitar.....
Hey Martin,
dürfte man erfahren wie du an solchen Licks arbeitest, um sie auf eine solch atemberaubende Geschwindigkeit zu bekommen ?
hi guys. first one is in key of? thanks:)
It is most likely in F mixolydian as he is hitting F chord at the end (0:29) and implying the mode. There appears to be some tension in your hands when you play. Do you have any issues with your hand becoming cramped or sore?
👍
where's this tab?
Too fast for me. How do I build up the speed?
try all kinda scales n learn coordinate right hand picking with left hand ,3 note per string scales and le gato , start normal speed 88bpm on just 2 strings back n forth , like eg , frets 7 8 10 n another string 7 8 10 , if you know major monor scales , you can build muscles memory and even play simple scales 1 eye close , took me 3 yrs build speed , i watch lotsa videos by paul gilbert vai ,learn my mistakes , yeh but i did throw my guitar aside to party wih friends but went back to my rock pal n re-learn as got inspired at least im an intermediate player , keep up perseverance dude i know keeping up finger strength and Stamina is another thing how this guitar gods maintain

Martin looks a little bit like Jamie Cullum. Just saying.
This guy is pissing me off.....I have been playing for almost 40 years....I thought hybrid picking was for country players....trying to learn hybrid at my age is like playing left handed.
you can get the same effect with just flatpicking. Gentaro Satomura gets almost a similar sound doing it.
😂😂😂😂😂
haha :D i am suhr! trust me! :D
:D THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Awesome!!!
