People love talking about Mateus and don't get me wrong I'm a HUGE fan but man Martin is an absolute wizard on the guitar. He plays the most beautiful 80's styled rock solos with a mix of jazzy notes here and there.
Anyone who takes on a cover of Tears For Fears is left with huge respect for the genius of their composing. Yes, genius is not overstating it. I have been in awe of them forever.
@@rafatenk Brazil is a beautiful country with some of the most beautiful people . But Matheus and Lari success has zero to do with being Brazilian . They are both fantastic dedicated to their craft musicians .
They've both been very successful for quite some time to be fair.. Lari played with Satriani and some of the biggest names in the industry on the G4 tour and Mateus is every guitarist's favourite guitarist 👌
A group of masters just doing what they do best. Martin’s phrasing in this is top tier, and Mateus is just an absolute beast. The whole band though is just so fuckin solid and exceptional 🔥🔥🔥
Tears For Fears is a band that is so emblematic of the 80s - a decade with some of best vocal and instrumental work that pop rock had to offer. Thank you for this reinterpretation of Head of Over Heels. Your instrumental embellishments always breathes new life into these memorable 80s classics.
Nice guitar solos, but the song lacks the power and vibe of Tears for Fears. I felt kind of empty listening to this, very sterile vocals and the mix is too modern HiFi. I just listened to the original just to confirm and it completely destroys this version.
I woke up this morning with a terrible headache. Then I listened to this. It's better than aspirin. Instant relief. Wow, that was a killer cover! Mateus just knocked it out of the park. Thanks Martin, Ben, Felix, Marius, and Mateus for sharing your incredible talent! 😎
One of my favourite songs ever given the Martin Miller treatment, sounded awesome, did a great job on the vocals too. Of course Mateus showed his customary excellence but the whole band can take a bow, already looking forward to the next offering.
Hello!!! I'm Wellington from Brazil and now I realizing a dream to be in Canadá to learn english. I love this song, and took advantage of be in here to visit the Emmanuel College Library in Toronto, where the original video of this music was recorded. Was amazing to be there.
Loved it. Both guitar solos were great. The second guitar solo is phenomenal !! It will be so incredible if you guys can perform more songs with Mateus Asato.
The way you guys capture these 80’s hits are amazing and immeasurable!! You can cover any style any artist but there’s something unique and special about the 80’s but also partly to do with my childhood I’m guessing lol. Seems like 80’s material doesn’t get covered as much unlike other types of songs. You guys do great at at just was saying other bands should as well. Thank you for doing these! Please cover more of these ❤. Takes me back to 8 years old
Grande banda. Wunderbar. Do cacete.
You are much more than a cover band, so thanks for blessing us with your interpretations of great tunes from our pasts. You kick them many notches and make them new to me again and bring much joy...thank you thank you.
Martin miller, I found you a few months ago from a RUclips video, and I fell in love with you. You are the best guitarist in this world. I bought one of your signature models, MM1, and I really like that. Thank you!
Genial que Asato se apoya en el feeling del baterista para llegar más lejos, al menos eso noté aquí. Hubiera sonado mejor conectado a un buen amp, pero increíbles solos de parte de ambos, la limpieza de Martin es impecable.
thank you for this cover. it really takes me back and made me teary literally... i love songs like this, bass and drums on pocket. martin's voice suits this... and the solos are so awesome, even the keys. keep inviting mateus please

Can we just agree, the keyboard guy killed it.
All they killed it
The two guitar solos man...oh man
Came for Mateus. Stayed for Martin. Those solos... he's just too good
It's impressive the energy that comes when Mateus is soloing in a live band situation.
The drummers fills are always so good. Such a great feel music
....that outro solo by Mateus may be the best live solo i've ever heard!
I agree!
it was amazing he's a brilliant player
Truly awesome but you should hear Mateo Mancuso's live Jeff Beck tribute.
Agreed. I'm not a musician but I can appreciate a gifted artist. He is...and, that are! Freaking insane!
Tears for Fears will always have a special place in my heart
Martin Miller is the king!
2 of the greatest guitarists on the planet and one of the greatest songs of all time!

totally agree. Martin is a beast. Tasteful and fluid style.
Martin is amazing for sure
Awesome session Hall full of Finest instruments and Greatest musicians
I think his solo was better
Martin Miller + Mateus = Perfect Combo
Nosso orgulho nacional!
Orgullo latinoamericano 😅
brazuca esse Mateus?
@@DF-lg1tmé
Lari Basilio também?

Same, but your right!
Felix was playing a stormer there and so was Mateus - wow!
There's just something that makes me happy that these guys are in the world making music 😀
Came for Mateus. Stayed for that solo drum groove.
Congratulations to Martin Miller, who first took Lari Basilio and now Matheus Asato to show the strength of our Brazilian musicians. 🟩🟨

I absolutely love Martin's solos. It's crazy how well he improvises them.
Oh Well that's not an improvise (he definitely rehearsed that).. but I totally agree with what you're saying. He's awesome
Doubt it is.
@@GiancarloCurtiyep. Mateus is more of an improviser
@@emdblues yep. But I don't think that was an improvise as well
@@GiancarloCurti tenho certeza que foi, ele usou muitos licks que ele costuma usar em improvisos.

Misericórdia! Que som absurdo! Martin sempre acerta muito em toda composição de arranjos. Sensacional! Mateus nem se fala...é um extraterrestre.
This is probably one of the most legendary band lineups of our times.
DUUUUUDDDEEEE! That jam in the middle and the end. Every video gets better thanks so much for making these!
Well done guys!
That Mateus solo had serious Freebird vibes.
Also reminded me of trey from phish as well.
"The tone king"
That's what I thought
You think he copied them ? I guess it is a cover
Wtf? Not at all
Simultaneously makes me wants to pick up and play guitar, and quit guitar at the same time. Phenomenal all around. Thank you for this!
Como é bom ver o Asato tocar, ainda mais com o Martin
that keyboardist is just SICK
Mateus Asato - what a gift to humanity. Thanks for letting him rif
I live for moments like this.
Martin Miller Band keeps bringing it! The band's recordings are the best thing that's ever happened on RUclips.
You need to get out more. They suck.
If I've ever seen someone be in the zone it's Mateus in that solo. Amazing.
