Thank you for this lesson - it's a 'patient' approach to legato which some of us sorely needed 👍
My playing has gotten 10 times better because of watching your channel Ross! Thank you so much for your hard work and excellent playing! You’re killin it bro! ❤️ from Florida!
Please do more quayle stuff! Your videos are great and i love the theory behind it
I am learning new things thanks to you !!!
I'm a new subscriber to your channel and what I like the most (besides your very, very good playing of course!) is, that you seem to stay on the ground and don't do all that self-profiling goofy stuff that many others do. Most guitar channels I cannot stand anymore. You seem to be a nice and humble guy who knows what he's talking about and you have interesting content. Keep it up and thank you for your work!
I appreciate that, thank you!
Great lick and lesson! Thanks!
Lovely lick thanks man
I discovered your channel recently and I'm loving the content man, you're a tremendous player. Thanks for the hard work and keep em coming!
Thanks very much Sebastian!
My first TQ styled lick ... working it out now. Thanks Ross!
Please make a video of Eric Johnson technique, licks, etc
Great lesson dude, Tom quayle is a monster and this lick sound like him. Thanks.
Thanks man! Very helpful, especially the picking hand shot.
Amazing lesson bro! Thank you very much!
Cool lick! Didnt need to talk at all lol but cheers for the tab and example when you finally got there. Cheers
Love your videos man!! Always a blessing for me to learn more
Glad to hear it man :)
Probably the best guitar teacher on RUclips at the moment
I do love the lick! Thanks!! But just way too much talk before he even gets to the legato lick for me😆🤔Loves hearing his voice i think🤣🤣You hvnt seen many guitar teachers. To be fair this comment is a year old😁😅But thanks for the lesson and fast forward
hey thanks!
Great lick, awesome lesson! Thanks for sharing Ross!
Tom....Really beautiful Legato Licks....Cheers my friend.
Nice little lick.
It's a bit more comfortable to play if you slide from the 7th to the 8th on the G string after using the ring finger and little finger to play the 7 and 8 on the D string.
thanks ,. ill go to sleep for now , and tomorrow ill start my journey learning your tutorial ,
Another amazing lesson. Thank you so much for all your hard work.
very good lick hibrid pick thnks so
Nice
You are awesome brother 👏✊👍
Dude great job Ross! Sounds like TQ! 🤘
your awesome bro, keep it up! digging these spicy lick videos!
Thanks man!
awesome ross cool....
Nice!!
Good lesson. Much appreciated!
You’re too young to be this good. Good stuff.
Super !
Thanks
Nice lesson and thanks for the details on the notes that are being used, though I would also suggest you focusing on the timing of the notes per bar. I know the tab is shown though there is a bit of a confusion with where the accents drop on the metronome. Since there is chromaticism, the division of the notes per bar is a bit difficult to get used to 😅
Muito bom!! Vou praticar
Muito obrigado por disponibilizar conteúdo de verdade.
cool lesson - thanks
very cool !!
Great lick, thanks very much! I agree that Quayle is a monster. Quick question, if C Dorian is in the parent key of Bb, why is the Eb key signature shown in the picture ? I might have missed something...
Very good!
Hi can you do a lesson on Darren Householder"s Misty song? There he did some terrifying tapping that needed to be broken down slowly , thanks man really enjoy this lesson on tom legato great
3:36
what guitar are you playing? it looks nice.
Great...
Cool
Is it really necessary to pick with plectrum and middle finger? For the moment that complicates it for me. Nice lesson by the way!
Good lick. I find the picking method totally unnecessary for it. Just using the pick is fine and actually makes it sound more legato without any accented "bumps" that the finger picking might cause.
Great playing and fine sound. What(if any) type of pedal(s) are you using?
한수 배워 갑니다
Patch on the axe sounds nice - can you share this? :)
Hey Ross, what program do you use to display the tabs on screen?
Great lesson & well played 👍👍
Spacey Lecks!
nice lick and lesson, Can you make a Plini's Lesson
Thanks! Will check him out, thanks for the suggestion.
Thanks for the video, but just in relation to 2:18, when you say you're starting on one note lower, is that not a Bb major scale, not a B major scale?
good lesson, thoughts on the new axe-fx 3? I'm thinking about getting the axe-2 when the 3 comes out, since it'll be cheaper. Just wondering if it's worth the money to skip the axe-2 and just get the axe-fx 3.
Just curious why the notation is shown in Ab Major key signature instead of Bb an then you just added natural notation to each Ab note which is all in key for C Dorian/Bb Ionian. Please let me know if I am missing something. Thanks
Not sure what the benefit of plucking with the middle finger is. Just a softer action i guess?
Nice guitar. Does it has jumbo frets?
giggly bear and ben eunson style please 🙏🏻
You break it down great but would have meant more to see the riffs at fast speed against chords.
so in legato techniquie is a 1 pluck in each string?thanks man
Already know you IG account. I subscribe there too !
Idk if i missed it in the vid but why do you need the finger pick? Tom Q's style I'm guessing ? (I've not actually given the guy a listen yet)
Liam Hanley Tom tends to use a combination of pick and fingers for his legato technique.
At 6.25 Ross, would it be right that you are going from aeolian to Dorian?Over a static minor 7th chord this sounds ok
frannyp46 glad someone said it! Thanks dude. The Ab makes the 6th interval flat which then makes the intervals match the major MODE of Aeolian. It becomes C Aeolian which is the 6th mode in Eb major :)
are you using a reverb or a delay pedal?
why is it easier for me to slide in the 8th on g string instead of using pinky
Why does the staff say it is in the key of Eb? Thanks
Man, your playing is so tasty
Jordan Chipev Thanks Jordan!
Are you in standard tuning?
Hello, please make something about Kiko Loureiro!!
Thanks for the suggestion Ariel, I'll add it to the list!
Sean Connery Accent
Awesome tribute to the master Tom! Perhaps the video could be a bit shorter though. I don't think the kinda players ready for this stuff need to be explained what the Dorian scale is, since it will be mostly advanced players. Now the video to me personally felt a bit boring and too long. Just show the techniques if neccesary, but the tab is pretty much self explanatory. Nonetheless, great job!

That sounds more like *Tom Quayle* than *Tom Quayle* sounds like *Tom Quayle*
Nice video, but to me, your lick sounds more like an F Mixolydian that resolves to Bb Major Bebop. Bye
loba ngomong na... lieur kana hulu
I think you guys don't have any work to do .true
What do you mean?
Man too much yakking..'Let's play the lick'..follows up with 2 minutes of chat about B
