- That's right. THE MOTHER FUCKING WIZARD ON THE DOPETHRONE TOUR. Live in Chicago at the Double Door on March 30, 2001. Sold out show. This was their first live show in Chicago. They played the next year for Let Us Prey across the street (I only have audio of that show). Later for the Let Us Play tour they played in Aurora, IL (again, I only have audio of that show). This is full blown video, full show. Hope you enjoy the original line-up tear this set up. I'm so glad Mark is back on drums. We gotta get them back here with Liz. Now all we need is Tim back in the band and the Wizard would rule the earth IMO!

I am digging these guys so much. I can't believe it took me being 40 years old to fall in love with Doom/Stoner Metal. I am thinking of dusting the olde guitar and drums and get some fellas together to play some of this shit. I know I got a Boss FZ-2 somewhere in the attic. I got so fucked up watching this show, a 6pack, some herbal remedies, and I wish for something else. I am a light weight. that's what happens when you wait until old age to become a stoner... start young my friends...

Best way to open a show
Wait til you see what I've got - the last date of the 2001 tour - and it's the best footage and performance by the band that I've ever seen and heard. The tour ends on a high note and they close the show with 'Electric Wizard'. I have it on VHS and made a copy that I used to watch on average twice every day. It's been many years since then, I have to find the tape and give it to a friend to transfer and enhance.

Pure gold recording. Good audio (for me), consistent video. You can see the whole band throughout and they played well.

Thanks for this... I was there. My head appears a few times on the left/stage right. Warhorse and Acid King opening, if memory serves (and there's been a LOT of pot between then and now, so... ). Also got to see them the next year at the Note. Cheers, mate!

Every time I even c Electric Wizard, it's instantly a thumbs up asap even b 4 I hear the sound quality of whatever video it happens 2 b, 2 me theyre just 1 of those bands that can do no wrong, and i hope they never do. I'm really looking 4 ward 2 anything they put out!!! I got 2 c them the last time they played in LA & it was great.!!! Only problem was I recorded the whole show on my ph.& also got in 2 a 3 way w\ 2 hot chicks & I was able 2 record that 2 & it was on the same ph. That I had recorded the concert on, which un-fuckin-4tunately I was all smacked back on speed balls, fucked around & misplaced said ph. I didn't & still don't know what 2 b more upset about: the low- budget porno I was the absolute Star in or the Electric Wizard vid I lost. Rea I'm still bummed about both,really!!! But hopefully I'll catch the Wizard on the next round, but I guess I'd b asking 4 2 much 2 hope 4 another 3- way w\ such hot chicks, but I'll just have 2 accept it, no matter the results!!!?😜

+Jurre whichever bass has the aluminum neck is the bass he uses on that tour I forget the model but it is an old 70s kramer
