On the LEDs.
People need to realize once out of warranty if a light goes bad they are $785/ea to replace as you can't just change a bulb because the lights are built into circuit boards.
You have to replace the whole unit.
Also, if you are not adept at doing the replacement yourself and adjusting the beam you will have to take your car to a garage to have this done so you will also incur a labor fee.
Halogen bulbs can be replaced by the owner for xx cost depending on the type of bulb you chose in a matter of minutes in the driveway or in your local autoparts store parking lot.
The ride quality will also be more plush on the models outside of the limited due to it's lower profile 18" tires.
To be fair though, those prices will be cheaper after a few years as we get more aftermarket options. Especially if it's a volume seller like the rav4s, camrys, corollas, civics, etc.
Still a huge expense, regardless tho.
For the upper models:
If you drive mostly in the city, get the Limited. If you drive mostly outdoors, get the Sport.
No joke I bought a Limited (Package #33) and added some extra mods like rear differential protector and STI mudflaps. My friend who has mostly owned only NICE Mercedes and BMW was extremely impressed and happy, in addition to my joy owning a Limited Edition with basically all bells and whistles. It's worth it because the sound system has a CD player!!

A CD player?! Multi-disc or single disc?
Taking delivery of the limited in 18 days. I foregone the option of moonroof, nav and Harmon kardon speakers. I’m sure the stock speakers are okay. I’ve had moonroofs in the last three cars that I’ve had and used it less than five times. Plus moonroof may have the risk of road noise. No use for the Nav since I have CarPlay. Thanks for the video. Very informative and now I know I made the right choice!
Thanks, Aileen Chann Cota, for mentioning that the moonroof, etc. is optional. I'm in the process of trying to buy a 2022 Crosstrek Limited. The dealer has a Crosstrek coming in July with the moonroof and is telling me the moonroof is "standard" for the Limited. I guess I'll have to order the car to get one w/o the options, which puts me into a 2023 (so I'm told). 2023s are a bit more $, but I really don't want or need the moonroof or nav.
@@robinarchibald6673 You're welcome. I hope you get what you want. Yup, those three, moonroof, NAV and and the upgraded spears were a package that is around $2K more. I love my Crosstrek!

Did the same thing in my head in my search for the new Mazda 3 sedan. Settled between the base turbo or all the way down to the preferred 2.5s FWD if I can't wait ANOTHER 8 months to find one

I got the limited with moonroof package as navigation is pointless with android and Apple carplay and Harman Kardon system isn't knock your Sox off good...got the moonroof because why not.

I looked everywhere I had to go out of state and deliver. I can justify the difference in base to premium buy the premium to sport is like 3-4k higher and in the color I want. Payments I gotta figure out the difference

We bought a 21 premium manual and were disappointed we couldn't get a moonroof. Don't care much for the 'safety' features though
Congrats! Happy to hear you got a manual (despite you couldn't get it with a moonroof). You could always do an aftermarket moonroof if you really miss it...
Im contemplating the limited model. I dont need a moonroof or care for upgraded stereo. Is that moonroof package worth it or save my.money?

I just seen a something red and going to see it after cleaned up it just came of truck. I want the limited with moonroof what should it coast me?
If you're able to get a Limited with just the moonroof, it should be around $30.5k. Threads like this (www.subaruoutback.org/threads/local-dealers-asking-way-over-msrp-better-to-pre-order-or-just-lowball-dealers-everywhere.539894/page-2) can be helpful if you've narrowed down to a particular manufacturer and you want to see where buyers have had good experiences. Casey is correct--no, not all of them have moonroofs. You have to option the CVT and then you have to get the $2k package that includes the moonroof and a few other items (smart key, power driver's seat, etc.)
