hello, erika !!! 🌞 so nice to see people from all around the world are getting to watch my videos !! 👀 how exciting !!! 😀 glad you found this one helpful.... i do have more if you'd like to look them up 😁
Sooo glad I stumbled on your videos! I just bought a needle felting kit, but it only came with tiny amounts of wool. This is so budget friendly! I also loved your video on Poly fill :)
hello, brianabryan !! 🌞 so glad you found my videos and i was able to help you with budgeting 😁 if you'd like to watch my others i do have quite a few that'll help you get the hang of basic techniques. even though they're 'out of season' you might want to try your hand at my snowmen ⛄️ when i was first learning how to use polyfil for cores i made a bunch of them 😃 it'll really help you learn how to get a good firmness for your projects and how to join two round cores together. now, my snowmen vids are in four parts... if that's too much right off the bat perhaps you'd find my basic pumpkin or jack'o'latern 🎃 or chick a little easier 🐥 i wish you the best of luck !! 🍀 i'd love to see some of what you make, if you'd care to share 😃 have a great evening 🙂
hello, laura 🌞 sorry took so long to reply. moved about three months ago, things have been crazy getting settled in. thank you so much for compliment !! hope you found my tutorial helpful 🙂
hello, victoria 🌞 sorry took so long to reply.... moved about three months ago. things have been crazy getting settled in 🤪 i am so glad my tutorials are helping you with your budget, and i hope i'm able to teach you good methods. good luck 🍀 i'd love to see what you've made, if you'd like to post a picture or two here 🙂
Great idea and instructions, thank you Nancy! Can you needle felt this roving? even though it isn't a wool? (I am only just learning about needle felting.) I wish it was possible to process knitting yarn this way, as I have a lot of wool yarn. Maybe hand carders would work since they have sharpers needles?
good morning, barbara 🌞 yes !! you sure can use this for needle felting !! 😁 when i first started needle felting there were a lot of needed supplies that were a bit much for my tight budget so i'm always looking for budget-friendly options... if you'd like to watch i do have a video for using poly'fil as cores 😃 then when my friend told me about this trick of brushing out loose yarn i was so happy !! 😁 i have made several things using this yarn for color 🙂 i'm sorry i can not answer your question - i do not own carders myself and have never tried them. but if you decide to give it a try please let me know if it works !! 😃 have a great day 🌞
@@nancygibsonbreeze6577 Thank you Nancy. I will definitely try to use this yarn. I appreciate the idea of saving some $$. I am planning on doing some wet felting and yes, will let you know about the results. Have a beautiful sunny day .

I had this question! I've seen several tutorials regarding it. There are people who are allergic to lanolin, and those who are vegan/won't use wool. It's definitely possible!

good morning 🌞 sorry it took so long to answer 😬 the yarn i use from dollar tree, lkyc, is actually 100% acrylic. i find it works just fine for my needle felting projects 😀 i mentioned in video that i also use a roving yarn. at walmart i have found mainstays which is also 100% acrylic. i'm sorry i can't remember at which store, 🤔 either joann's or michaels, but i also use yarn bee showstopper, it is 50% acrylic, 35% polyamide, 15% wool. i really like roving yarn because it is very loose and i simply fluff it by hand before applying to my creation 😃 just my opinion but unless you want to make your felted item 100% wool, from core to color, these all work just fine as alternatives 😊 have a great day 🌞
i tried sending you pictures of the yarns but i'm sorry i can not figure out how 🤔 however i did notice on the yarn bee it actually came from hobby lobby 🙂
Thank you so much. Now everyone can afford to needle felt.
you are quite welcome !! 😁 so glad you found my budget friendly video helpful !!! 💰
