In this video, Dr. Berg talks about ginger lemon water and intermittent fasting.
    Benefits of Ginger
    • Antioxidants
    • Anti-inflammatory
    • Supports the immune system
    • Helps with Nausea
    • Helps with Gas
    • Good for Motion Sickness
    • Blood Sugar (lowers insulin)
    • Decrease Cholesterol
    • Decrease Blood Pressure
    • Decrease Hunger
    Why Add Lemon?
    • When you are doing intermittent fasting and ketosis, there is a potential risk of kidney stones. Lemon has citrates which combine with oxalates that could decrease the risk of getting calcium oxalate stones.
    • It also has a lot of vitamin C.
    Recommendation: ¼ Cup Ginger - 1 Lemon - 12 oz. water

Hi Dr Eric Berg, i am from Saudi and i was watching your videos for 2 years now at first i didn't like your videos because you were asking us to eat only meat and vegetables so it was like that is impossible to do because i love chocolates, bread and rice then i saw your videos also talking about Intermittent fasting with the explanation how hormones work in the body and losing weight is not mainly about calories it is about the secretion of hormones, insulin and growth hormone then eating the fair correct amount of calories like 2000 with sports can make you easily lose weight i started that fasting the way you said and i lost my weight and i was really surprised how is that happening to me. before in 2013 i lost 97 pounds in 6 months with the very low calories sometimes i eat only 500 calories i was always hungry, stress and weak then i couldn't continue fighting my own body because at the end who ever follow the calories calculation method, will doubtlessly surrender. i am sorry about the thoughts that i was thinking about you and i was thinking why all the other doctors are telling the opposite then i was thinking also maybe this doctor is working for a company and he wants us to get sick from eating too much fats i am really sorry for that. now i am telling all my friends about your videos and some of them have started and they are happy with the result. thank you very much for your time and videos you are the messenger of hope between all doctors for obese people and for all patients with metabolic syndrome. thank you again. may the God bless you and your family.

      Hi/salam aleikum,
I understand the struggle as I'm from Morocco 🇲🇦 and it's almost Impossible to eat without bread!
I did reduce bread and any other pancakes (Moroccan ones) or when I take bread, it's only once for one meal (usually breakfast ,coffee + hot bread with some olive oil and some fruits, it's the best in winter and very nutritious). I can't go fully keto but as I'm already not too fond of sweet stuff, getting closer to a keto diet is more convenient for me.
Wish you a lot of success for you and your loved ones, May God keep y'all in the right path of bliss and good health.

Ginger has done SO well for me and my spine surgery. Back in 2016 I had a new disc put in between my L4 and L5 and all the doc gave me was pain and anti inflammatory meds and wished me luck. Everything healed up fine for the most part but the pain/arthritis was constant esp during thunderstorms which of course another doc followed up with more pain meds. Over the passed year I looked up natural remedies for the pain and swelling and ginger came into my world and what a savior is was! Or is!
I now make up my health drink consisting of a piece of ginger about 3-4 inches long half a lemon 2 avacados a banana a clove or 2 of garlic spinach and an orange along with a bottle of water. Drop it all in a $25.00 blender and drink it over 2 days. Combine that with hanging from a pull up bar for decompression and my back feels great!
And btw I eliminated all processed foods too.

It reduces the sugar and self carbonates. Also made with fresh ginger it's got a warming bite to it. Feels like it warms up my stomach and speeds up digestion. Chinese medicine has ginger as a warming and drying herb. I can see why.

We're talking 1 lemon. It's negligible tbh unless you're 50. The small calories under 50 won't break a fast, unless those 50 calories is refined sugar or high fructose corn syrup which spikes insulin more than the small lemon juice carbs

Thumbs up! What about citric acid crystals instead of lemon juice to avoid the sugar component. Are there any health benefits with citric acid crystals?
Tip with the lemon press: I found if you squeeze half a lemon and put it aside, then squeeze the other half and then place the first half back on top of the second half and squeeze a third time, you may get heaps more remaining juice, depending on the lemon. Waste not want not.
