Can I just say that this channel is incredible? I've been in the industry for over a decade and just by watching a few videos, I've gained so much new knowledge, tricks of the trade, and amazing shortcuts. All of Unmesh and PI's video are made with so much apparent care, lucidity and passion - they really are a delight to watch. Thank you Piximperfect!

Great i know you've made a video about this in the past Also I'd just like to mention there's almost always color cast from the background on the hair. The same color that we want to extract when masking out to the point sometimes we need to choose another image? Yeah. It can be even more realistic to bring it back, but this time we can to it separately and always shift the hue unlike a flat image
You. I was upskilling and was photomanipulating myself in my parents' old 60s-80s photos Checked youtube and then BAM! here you go with this video Can I tag you if ever I finish all of the photos and made a carousel out of it in instagram? 😘 Thank you as always for sharing your knowledge Be safe and healthy! 🙋🏻♀
As always great tutorials and tips, How I wish I have artistic eyes, I understood and can follow all the things you showed in the tutorial but I just simply don't have the talent to create something great by myself 😭😭😭
@@namandixit6358 it's easy. Use color lookup table to get ur base effect for night 👍. Thn adjust it with exposure or curves. U can also reduce saturation of the img form dark parts with hue adjustment layer for little bit realistic tone. If there is a sunny background manualy remove sun and extreme highlighted areas or just replace the sky itself. 👍 With this ur base day to night compostie will be ready. Offcourse u can keep tweaking it until it's perfect
I've done every step you've done, to the letter, up to @04:21 and my layers look totally different than what you've got here. I'm using PS2022 on a PC laptop. Should that make that much difference? Did I miss a step?
Incredible!!! But why does it work? When you add white hair in the mask it should turn their content visible, but if you don´t have hair below it should appear the background. What is wrong with my logic?
If your end result needs to be on delivered in a standard web format, you're stuck with 8bit. So for gradients, I suggest adding dither to the gradient to remove banding. It's a shame that you don't have the same control for the dither amount as you do in AfterEffects, but at least it's something to help banding. Because, unless I don't understand, if you see banding in 8 bit, then not in 16 bit, when you export for the web, you'll get your banding right back.
Maybe I was wrong! Because I did an experiment and created a gradient fill in an 8 bit document. Then I converted that to a smart object. Double click to edit, and change that mode to 16bit (now this is odd because in my test, I can still see the banding in the psb). Save. Come back to the 8bit document and it looks awesome, no dither. I have no idea how photoshop is deciding to interpret that, but it works.
Really appreciate the tutorial. When painting hair on the layer mask why does the colour not match the hair? Parts of the hair in my image is brown but im only getting black when painting and doesnt look right
Can we all just take a moment and appreciate his hard work cuz he really deserves to be appreciated 🥺🥺❤️❤️
And you know what I read your comment after posting my comment 👍🏻
