I am a beginner and struggle so much with replacing the background in portaits. This is the best tutorial on the subject and trust me I've watched loads of tutorials!

This and the second part of the cut out hair series is probably one of the best explained ones I’ve watched so far. Thank you, Brendan!

People are going to learn how easy my job is. Now I'm going to get promoted to Janitor while my boss plays on my work station drawing 2d dongs on people's head. Thanks Brendan.

Good work. Would have liked to see it against a white background, as I believe there was still a little green showing from original background. Am I mistaken?

I used grey since it makes fringing more obvious.
There may have been some green but you could use a low flow brush to mask away and add back hair with the brush strokes as needed so the same process would apply regardless.
In a perfect world you would have an image to blend the cut out to rather than a solid color, but the solid color shows the result more clearly for tutorial purposes at least.

@@BrendanWilliamsTutorials Thanks. Would be helpful (to me, at least) to see you do that to completion. For me, that's the most difficult part of cutting out hair.
