So, for you to make the merch ACTUALLY affordable at ~$40 is amazing, and I'm super hyped to get some new threads. I wished i could play competetive pokemon either . But its nearly impossible for new players to get in . I would have to buy all kind of games to catch pokemons i need for it not just new one . I also need to them to have perfect IV (whatever it mean) in all of that i have to study stats of all pokemons to know who outspeed who and i would need study how to put points in stats . It would takes me at least 3 months at best before i would prepare for first tournament . Since i am pretty good at card games and for example tft i think i would be pretty good pokemon player but i really dont have time to get in . Same way about pokemon tcg i was playing that for a while but their client is really bad and playing that game offline cost lots of money to just have one deck . Obv nintendo dont care about getting new players .

Our match was indeed one of my highlight matches of the tournament. winning against you during swiss was so hype for me, your adjustments in top cut was also what I believe the best lead against my team. I’ve noticed a slight trend, Wolfe finds a pokemon considered bad, builds a team around it, then that team ends up doing most of the work. Though sometimes, very rarely you get the golden bois who wolfe pilots to be hilariously op.
hey wolf! i’ve been theory crafting for a super out of their pokemon who would be a very interesting trick room sweep Its Greedant, but heres why; -bellydrum + wiki berry(which heals near max due to gluttony by greedant) - has a SPD of 20, slower than anything and amoongus and an incredibly high HP stat -has decent coverage (knock off, high horsepower, gyro ball) -pair it with farigeaf and it becomes immune to fakeout + priority which would kill trick room -PS greedants normal so astral barrage does nothing Seems interesting but idk id need ur team building expertise hopefully this gets traction bc i live greedant🙏
@@furiouscorgi6614 the only real thing, and honestly the biggest thing, is its speed tier. Greedant has a bst speed of 20 while lax has 30, that allows for the biggest threat (amoongus) to be outspeed. Not to mention greedant has the nifty move(s) knock off and gyro ball which threaten the best pokemon out of trick room (calyrex s) and rhe best pokemon in trick room (calyrx i). And threatens its stab resist (rock, steel) with high horse power. And also still threatens amoongus and any other fighting type with psychic fangs. Even if greedants stat pool is fairly weak compared to lax, its movepool is actually pretty diverse to cover any other options that other pokemon cant cover. Not to mention a pairing with farigeraf stops fake out and prevents calyrx shadow astral barrage spam.

Technically calling it limited unrestricted would be correct but also I hate that those 2 words in this context do explain it.

I’ve noticed a slight trend, Wolfe finds a pokemon considered bad, builds a team around it, then that team ends up doing most of the work. Though sometimes, very rarely you get the golden bois who wolfe pilots to be hilariously op.

hey wolf! i’ve been theory crafting for a super out of their pokemon who would be a very interesting trick room sweep
Its Greedant, but heres why;
-bellydrum + wiki berry(which heals near max due to gluttony by greedant)
- has a SPD of 20, slower than anything and amoongus and an incredibly high HP stat
-has decent coverage (knock off, high horsepower, gyro ball)
-pair it with farigeaf and it becomes immune to fakeout + priority which would kill trick room
-PS greedants normal so astral barrage does nothing

Now for the important question, what does it do better than Lax
@@furiouscorgi6614 the only real thing, and honestly the biggest thing, is its speed tier. Greedant has a bst speed of 20 while lax has 30, that allows for the biggest threat (amoongus) to be outspeed. Not to mention greedant has the nifty move(s) knock off and gyro ball which threaten the best pokemon out of trick room (calyrex s) and rhe best pokemon in trick room (calyrx i). And threatens its stab resist (rock, steel) with high horse power. And also still threatens amoongus and any other fighting type with psychic fangs. Even if greedants stat pool is fairly weak compared to lax, its movepool is actually pretty diverse to cover any other options that other pokemon cant cover. Not to mention a pairing with farigeraf stops fake out and prevents calyrx shadow astral barrage spam.
I really like your streamed tournament videos. The third match was a masterclass in playing optimally even if it takes a few more turns
