I do feel like more heavily scripted videos still make sense in the context of certain videos that you'll make like tournament runs where the purpose is to develop a narrative or maybe inform the viewer about specific things

@@LordAryu Gen 8 is when Grass Glide became a thing, anyways. Probably just didn't give it to Bulu bc it wasn't in the Dex
Tapu Buli thinks it can do anything with Grass Glide when Amoongus shreds it with a move it teched on to beat an actually good grass type.
@@BiggerKIt was in the Crown Tundra DLC. They honestly could have given it to Tapu Bulu.

Love the new narration style! I’m a big Wolfe fan and a professional audiobook narrator/actor and this more conversational style feels much more “real” and personal. Nice work!
This was really great- I stopped watching your content for a little while because I was burnt out of the newer style, but I feel like you've hit your stride and found the balance between over the top Alpharad style content and your older style which was more conversational. The video itself was also very informative which I appreciated. I also really appreciate that you are still a family friendly channel :)
the informal dialogue is honestly really engaging and is like actually having someone explain something to you, just naturally interesting
I'm still glad that after all these years since starting Pokemon in Pokemon LeafGreen, Venusaur is still a threat to this day. Glad to see my first starter Pokemon do so well in an ever changing meta!

I love the foreshadowing with Rillaboom using Fake Out on Amoongus (and the screen zooming in slightly), who you were soon to reveal as the #1 best Grass type.

I really like the slightly more informal style of these videos. It's like, being in a line at a con and chatting with the people around, then one person says "wanna know about pokemon" and suddenly it's been a half hour and I am just enthralled.

I'd actually love to hear about where Zapdos has been this format. Like it hasn't been getting much usage even though it's still got some decent utility. I'd be curious to see what the explanation is.

Loved the slightly more informal video! Still felt like your newer, more polished stuff with great editing and pacing, but also felt like you were having fun with the topic and the recording process, which made it more fun as a viewer. I'll watch either way, but I liked how this one felt!

@@nathanlamont9920 it really isn't. It's still an incredibly strong Pokemon in Doubles. The problem is, since Mewtwo counts as a restricted Pokemon, it's only legal in formats where other, even more powerful Pokemon are also legal. And since these formats only allow you to use 1 or 2 of these Restricted Pokemon, it's never worth using Mewtwo over something like Groudon or Zacian.
@@SJKNOLMewtwo main problem are its poor abilities and low speed. Even Mega Mewtwo Y (which was fast back in gen 6/7) is out sped by Zacian. Nor can Mewtwo one shot Kyorge with Thunder (unless holding specs).
Maybe with tailwind support with specs Mewtwo, but it is quite the commitment.
But that is how GF always been. The new shiny toy outclasses the old shiny toy. By gen 10, they are going to release something that makes us forget how broken Flutter Mane was.

This type of commentary and editing is definitely for me! I am an old hat who preferred the old Wolfe humor and casual-ness, and this is the first new Wolfe video that has truly scratched that itch for me.

I actually really enjoyed the style of this video. It just felt more down to earth and less then mrbeast's hyper optimized style where something is happening every second. It made it feel less like brain rot and more like informative content. Would like to see more of this
big fan of this format! usually if I can tell a video is scripted I’ll put it on 2x speed; whether it was because of the editing (which was both snappy and informative) or because conversational-style is more entertaining for me, I was actually able to watch this like a normal person without a disintegrated attention span

Just want to give a shout out to the visual editing in this video. It was a really good execution of the "busy" style that Wolfe videos have gradually been establishing, lots of nice little touches that most people won't actively perceive but add a lot of polish subconsciously

This is a great video Wolfe :D the informal, conversational delivery is really engaging and fun, and it's also hilarious (and impressive) to see you flex your competitive pokemon knowledge completely off the cuff. I saw another comment compare this style to having a conversation with a buddy who's teaching you about something, def agree. Also the editing is freaking awesome, great job to you/your team (if you have one)! The scripted videos definitely have their place and I love those as well. It's awesome to watch all of your content evolve (no pun intended). Thanks for the great work as always!! :3

I think it’s a great way to balance all your new material and reconnect with some of your long time followers. Keep up the great stuff and good luck!
Love the energy in the video, it just doesn't feel forced like they sometimes do and really chill, direct and not scripted out to every detail
I like this editing style a lot, the pokemon displays with the type-matching backgrounds are really cool and just feel like they fit a lot with the analysis style. One thing I would say is that inserting anime clips, and to a lesser extent cartridge 1v1 clips was quite jarring and didn't mesh very well with the video in my opinion. Of course, just constructive criticism, but i love the videos all the same and props to whoever edited this :)
Props to Wolfey for hiring a really good editor and thumbnail artist. It really makes the videos way higher quality!
You also forgot to mention that liligant also has a fairly high speed stat. Being able to use sleep powder off the bat is insane. It also has access to quiver dance. Making its move petal dance hit so much harder as a focus sash holder
