Oeffff, I experienced a full spectrum of emotions while creating this painting, from excitement to frustration and everything in between.
I'm sure you can relate to this all too well...
But I led go of my expectations, this is what happened after minutemark 3:31. My brush strokes became more organic and they are BOLD.
It's a short painting video... But this painting took me days. The artwork is build up in 8 different dry layers, and a lot more brushstrokes.

I hear you about frustration. When I toured the Getty I was so enamored I could’ve stayed for days. I know the artists of old were frustrated their tools were much harder to work with, just as expensive and they had days where the piece didn’t turn out they way they hoped for. They like you persevered, pushed through. Sometimes they painted over the canvas more than once to get their piece, and save money. Sometimes I think perfection shouldn’t be our goal but love. Isn’t that what life is loving others including ourselves? Making the piece YOU love. I love this journey Rinske you’re flying, soaring.

Beautiful result. Appreciate the base of raw canvas. Verges on acrylic painting rather than pouring with additives/dilutions. Reminds me of laser color layering - very Zen feel to final look.

Tqvm for your sharing. I’m a 68 yo retiree. I took informal Acrylic painting classes for 8 sessions a few years ago.
I practice abstract Art only and recently I was awarded a small project for 5 large pieces 24x30” and above. I learned a lot from RUclipsrs like you and apply some of the techniques onto my paintings, a lot of mistakes and practices along the way. And just last week a major hotel in Penang has invited me to take part for their Art Gallery! What a pleasant shocker! Initially I thought it was a scam call, but I called their contact number and verify with their Hotline and managed to spoke to some of the staff as well.
I hope to implement some of your ideas ( with due respect to you 🤗🙌).

Such gorgeous color! Its pale green by winsor&newton. I added just a tiny touch of pink to it, so it became bit more natural. But for pouring just the pale green, is gorgeous!
