- Today, I'm taking a step back from raw canvas to work on a pre-primed canvas bought from the store, for my autumn acrylic Painting.
I started with a light base, gradually layering 'autumn' colors and 'leaf' brushstrokes to create a circular composition. What a fun composition to capture the essence of fall! This worked out great! I'm in love with this painting, I think it's perfect as it is. A great kick-off to an autumn series. Can't wait to hear your thoughts!

Definitely love the drips Rinska! They add a painterly quality that elevates the entire piece. These colors are gorgeous together. It was great to see you improvising with that "happy accident". I have in mind an idea of a seahorse hogarth curve in blues and teams and brown. Or.... female form abstract with hair flowing. You have inspired me to think outside the box once again. Also, thank you for working on a primed canvas. I don't stretch my own. So knowing it can be done and that it requires less water is very helpful! Can't wait for the course!

Rinske i love this journey, it’s what art is all about. Fluid, ha ha not fluid pouring but you fluidly finding you. Style, colors brushes etc. you’ve moved from the extreme abstract to abstract with direction, a plan.
