- In this Abstract Acrylic Painting Demo you see me working intuitive and adjust my plan as I go.
This painting video will be a great starting point if you need help getting started with abstract painting.
I'm starting with a wet base, this way I can keep working with the acrylics and they won't dry too fast. I use the first layer to determine my composition and flow, before using the other colors. As I progress in the painting, I keep an open mind and adjust my plans as needed. I let the painting "talk" to me and guide my decisions.
This is the 4th painting of my new series: 'Evolve': Abstract Acrylic Painting combining brush work and fluid paint to create interesting lines and a botanical look. I'm titling this artwork 'devotion', because during this creating I felt my true devotion to this style and my artwork.
Creating art has taught me to be open and flexible. I use the same basic techniques for each painting, but also discover new approaches as I go.

I was just starting a new canvas when you posted this and finally got to try painting with a real brush for the first time. Amsterdam "4" 602. I am a beginner as you understand and was in heaven for a moment here when you inspired me. You paint like a Goddess.
What number do you have on your brush and is it the brush that must be quite wet instead of the canvas?
Experienced getting watermarks/water bubbles when I used the spray bottle.

I was waiting for a hummingbird or butterfly to land on this beautiful flower! It it so real and peaceful, I can imagine a very faint scent similar to lily of the valley from it. The colors are tranquil and offer a peace of heart and spirit. Truly appreciate your art and your creativity.
