My problem, those works fine radiator fans, but when I turn on the air conditioner, it just stays in low speed and never engages to high-speed in recommendations, I changed out all the relays to the fans but no high-speed fans ever come on I looked around for a module for the fans because I just recently changed one out on my wife’s Ford edge, but I guess the Ford Explorer don’t have a module

@WILMINGTONNC yeah this particular design runs on the relays.
Now about your fan running low speed when A/C turned on is normal if it's not causing overheats. New systems are smart when ECM feels the need for high speed, it will ground high side relay to turn fan at max speed.
If system works fine with fine with just low speed, why would ECM Overload it with high speed.
      Hope this answers your question!

What temperature should the low speed fan come on ? My fan wont come on until it reaches 212°F.

@charger6773 each car maker is slightly different than other. 213 seems baoit right for Ford where Honda is around 201.

I'm having the same issue. Did the fuse that was in there come factory? Was it the original one? I'm trying to understand why it originally worked with the 4 but then needed a 5 prong relay.

did you every solve your issue? i'm having overheating issues myself possibly from a bad relay. but the factory relays are 4 prong, not 5. But on another note, hes working on a 2013, My explorer is a 2016.

@jeremiah03101 No unfortunately. I changed the sensor, thermostat and fans. When I'm on an incline changing the coolant the fans work. Soon as I come off the incline and turn it off then back on, the fans won't come on. I'm going to bite the bullet and take it to Ford 😔

@m00dmvzik you might have air pockets in your system, you have to purge it out.

@jeremiah03101 Maaannnn I've tried everything. I might try to purge the system one more time before I take it to Ford. They want $200 just for diagnostics.
