Unbelievable they make it that convoluted to get to the first fuse box. In the owner's manual it just says it's below and to the left of the steering wheel.
It’s a HORRIBLE spot. Just spent 2 hrs trying to blindly pull out and replace the fuse 9 for the sync screen-- I got it out (it’s not blown) but now I can’t get it back in AND now I’m getting an alert that the AC system is offline
Why would ford make this "user serviceable" access panel such a hassle to get to unless they want you coming into Ford to change a damn fuse at $75/hour + fees and taxes. BS ford!
Thanks. As earlier comment stated, this is one stupid design. I think the engineer could have made it more inconvenient- but it would have required more time. The 7mm screw is also a nice touch- NOT. I am 70 years old, changed the plugs on my 2015 last month because Ford wanted $600, but I think I'll have to ask my son to change the fog light fuse. His back and eyes are only 40 years old. Thanks again for the video.
try this link , it should have fuse diagram which one for which, hope that helps you. knigaproavto.ru/shemy/en/ford/explorer/327-2010-2015-ford-explorer-u502-fuse-box-diagram.html
They give you an owners manual for a reason. I'm checking fuses right now and the owners manual does a fantastic job of showing you every single fuse and relay.
This is so stupid from Ford Engineers. Please go back to school and learn how to make things easier. They buy them books and send them to school, but they still need to learn.
I was going to try and hard wire my dash cam today but after watching this video I’ll take a nap first

I know right, no way anyone could know where that is. That’s the dumbest most difficult place possible. Do better Ford. 🤦
I had such difficulty getting to the fuse box under stirring wheel, and trying to locate the fuse. What a hassle.
Thank you, I really appreciate it. I couldn't find it at first.
You welcome
Are the spare fuse slots wired to the car or do they not have any wiring to them at all? I can't find any information about that.
But the real problem. Nobody explains how to get your body and hands under the steering column to change a fuse. Its such a tight spot.
Yes I’m some cars it could be .

@@christopherjulian6099 did you end up figuring it out?
Yes! After some time and contorting… I finally got it in. AC is back online but SYNC still not working.
Thanks for the video and follow up !
@@christopherjulian6099 thats good , yes sometimes they make cars/trucks hard to do maintenance .
you welcome , have a great week.
Thanks for making the video it was very helpful.
You welcome , thank you for the feedback
Good job thank you
Thank you, you are welcome!
Thank you!
Hey is there away the fuse panel itself comes off, not like off off. But enough where you can get at it alittle better. Like bolts holding those on
Love the traxxas tool
That's absurd. I remember when the fuse box used to be located in the glove compartment. Used to be able to change the fuse in like 10 seconds.
I know this is ridiculous
What if I break the tips of fuse in the fusebox? Am I screwed with replacing the whole box?

Is there a simple way to get the clip to release? I’ve tried and can’t get it to release
Thank you for your job.
You’re welcome thank you for the feedback

How about for the trunk?
Is this where the relay that controls the hazard lights is located

Se quedan prendidas las luces direccionales
Ford made it difficult intentionally so you would have to go to the dealer for the simplest of tasks.
Tired of the stupid Orange theory commercial
vote for pedro
This has to be the worse place I have ever seen for a fuse box WTF was ford thinking
Engineers vs mechanics bro. Here I am doing yoga almost butt up the sun back and forth finding a short.
