I used a lot of the previous RIG model mentioned in this video. It felt super weird and annoying that you no longer have to lock it manually, but yet again simply trust on another automatic locking mechanism. I was hesitating a lot on releasing both my hands even though it was in the lock position for many times because I felt like: "is it really going to lock". And one month in and so far it has done it's job, but it still makes me feel nervous. Hopefully I eventually get used to it. However this also raises a risky situation where a new model user, uses the older model, they must be aware that the older model doesn't lock itself automatically! I still keep my older rig as a memory of this. The ropes I use currently are Beal hotline 11mm and mammut performance 11mm. However in the video you mentioned something about "metal" ropes if I hear you right? Do you mean steel wire ropes?
Hi Leonardo - the Rig is designed for ropes up to 11.5mm, so Arbor-Plex is too big. You will get better performance with a rope like Mercury or Velocity. www.wesspur.com/items/my15.html www.wesspur.com/items/vy15.html Stay safe!
So I’m a high rise window washer. I’m using a 2018 one to rappel with. I’m rappelling over 400 feet. Have you noticed that after you’re done rappelling and wrapping ropes, your ropes coiled? No matter how I rig it, it ends up coiling my rope and it’s just a pain. I use an 11mm New England kernmantle.
Dude I'm having the same issue. My ropes are getting twisted as hell when I get to the bottom. I'm starting to roll the rope off the back seems to better.

Hi, will the RIG work with the Arbor-Plex climb line 1/2” x 150’ (AP1215)? Thank you.

Would drenaline work in the 2019 model?
Drenaline is too large in diameter for the RIG.
Nice I need one ☝️
