I'm here in 2023 sitting on my couch being taken back to the 80's when I was a lad loving Fords, listening to 80's music & drinking straight from the hosepipe on a hot summers day. Little did I know back then, that I was growing up in the best time ever.
There really are not enough words in the English language to accurately describe the level of awesomeness this car exudes.

This is the ONE, there is nothing else i would want more in my life than an exact, right down to the last detail replica of this car, Great Job, couldnt have made it any better, not unless it had a Jet engine installed on it, I just Love these cars so much, Period.
We have one like that in the late 70s. I have so much fun really driving our escort during my time. It really bring me back to those days.

Piece of kit that. Reminds me of an old X Pack RS2000 I used to drool over in a garage in Runcorn from the top deck of the school bus.
Amazing. Wonderful car. Properly done and actually driven not locked away. Just need to dial in some softer damping to get all that power down.
The wheels, the tyres, the colour code of the wheels, the body kit with the nose cone, the colour of the car, everything has been put together with precise ingenuity, this could not have been built any better unless it had a mid - engined 4WD Dragster engine installed, Lol, Amazing Car.

Nice to see it back with a cossie motor in again. Looks very similar to when my mate built and sold it.
It needs more weight on the rear axle though, as it simply can't get the power down.
I remember when Pig very first built this & then chopped all the wings off to fit the X-pack kit!! Still like it though & I'm glad it's still recognisable & still about :)

@Patrick Anderson myself too , sold my rs2 2.1 79yr black/black vinyl roof NWX 94V for little money really and like many wish I had kept it and often wonder where it is now hopefully still in one piece albeit from vehicle check I see it had a colour change to red after I sold it.

Saw this car come up on a classic fords for sale page I follow on Facebook. Awfully tempted. I would love another Series X, my old one (see my avatar) had a fully built pinto and then later an F20c. I’d have to sell my RS Edition to fund it mind.

That car is "MINT" the shape of it and the size of it is awesome, and the nose cone on the front is really giving it that extra special one of a kind ultra rare retro look which is very rare and very hard to find on one of these MK2 RS2500 Escorts, that is like super rare, it would be interesting to see how much this car would fetch in an auction if it was a one off escort fan club auction with people with lots of money.......
The front end of the RS2000 came out of the factory that way - this is not a standard mk 2 with a modified front end. Save Nose cones for jet fighters too. ;)
That is the circa 5th Sept Shere hill climb, I thought about entering my stage 1 Audi S5 440hp(Surrey rolling Road) but the road is totally unsuitable and bumpy as hell. I drive the road quite often and you simply can't steer with that sort of power, the wheels won't stay planted so it's dangerous. The Escort looks like a very nice car.
All that horse power with nowhere to gallop!!!
I'm soooooooo all over that car. My first RS was signal yellow I so wanted to find a scrapped cossie 4x4 and get someone to fit it to my last RS. My last RS was nicked and I ended up over in the states.

I had a flat nose RS 1760 crossflow 40s bullet box xpack warrior mark 2 Escort with Hugo on the reg it was Ford diamond White with black details😊 I missed that car so much 30 years ago it was up for sale for £2,000 and I sold it in the end for 995 what a mistaka😅😅😮😮😢😢😢

When you take this car to Good-Wood, can you please face the cam towards the windshield for a longer period of time, no dis-respect, i just want to get an idea of what it must look like when that thing is going flat-out, burning rubber and chewing up tarmak, and what the on-coming visual display would be like when its at full-tilt with no humps or bumps, thanks guys, just one last thing though, i do get it when your man stated, "im speechless" it just says it all about the sheer power and acceleration that thing has, 10,000/10,000 all the time.

This thing is clearly overpowered with a terrible, terrible suspension. Fortunately Reiger makes suspension sets for historic rallying, ask for the 5062 (front) and 4616 (rear).
