    Couple changes I need to make on the next test…. Copyright free music, change position of mic so you can’t hear the obnoxious breathing, change tilt angle camera slightly. Any other suggestions, please comment below!

    Great video! Amazing what a single motor scooter can do even on hills. I just ordered the GT2 and I cannot wait to take it out.

      Hi slow german gt1D owner. This is slow french gt1D future owner !😊
      I'm hesitating to buy this scooter because I've seen several videos in which they claim a range of around 30 km! Which is ridiculous!
      In your opinion, what's the range if you drive at 25/30 km/h for 50% of the trip and 40/45 km/h for the other half?
      And have you found a way to unbridle it?
      Vielen dank

    man, the GT-series are on another tier above literally all the rest, in terms of build quality, material quality, and overall design. Design and engineering is cutting edge. I'm wondering how the Apollo Pro got the Red Dot award over this...

      Completely agree! Automotive grade PeV is how I see the Segway GT series and it can only get better from here. Literally. Firmware updates will improve user functions, add new features like it did with region braking and possibly a boost in MPH as further updates are released. There are not too many other manufactures that have a product "built" to be upgraded besides Tesla.

    Hello
    Thank you for this beautiful video that takes us on a journey
    In your opinion, what is the average range if you drive 50% of the time at 25/30 km/h and 50% at 40/50 km/h?
    I have a 20 km commute to work (40 km round trip), half at 25/30 km/h and the other half at 40/50 km/h.
    I've seen other videos of users disappointed by the range, so I'm hesitant to buy it, despite everything else that seems perfect.
    Thanks

      Thank you for the kind words! As far as range, it depends on a couple factors that obviously play a roll with distance vs energy devices same as even gasoline engines. Payload will play a roll as well as terrain. If your commute is mostly flat, keep the drive mode in ECO and your payload is under 200 lbs I think 20 KM is very doable, however if I was going to use this machine as a commuter vehicle I would have a spare charger at work to charge the scooter before the trip home just in case. All manufactures post unrealistic range numbers and it's unfortunate because it can be misleading. I would check out Rider Guides full review on both the GT1/2 where they cover the full real world range numbers to get a better idea. I myself have not done a range test on the GT1 but that may be something I will just to see what numbers it gives me. I will say at the lower speeds, I have noticed it does seem to keep the battery longer so while Europe is restricted in speed, it does save the battery. I would still get the unit even if it was restricted simply because of design and comfort. This is a very sturdy and comfortable scooter and would make a longer commute worth it. It's nice to have the deck space to move your feet around so you don't get fatigued. Hope that helps but I may put a video together soon as far as a EURO SPEED RANGE TEST and see what results I get.

      @@GLYDePATH475 Thanks a lot
      In éco mode I could reach 20 or 25 km so I think it’s a little low. I’m also looking to unbridle it. And if in top of that the weather is cold the range will decrease.
      I would drive between 30 and 40 km/h for 10km and 25/30 the other 10km. Mostly flat. I think the risk of running out of battery would be high, and batteries don't like to be too discharged.
      I'd have bought the gt2 but it's forbidden on the road in France because it's unbridled 🙁 our laws should change
      Thanks in any case. I will watch your next videos with pleasure
      Greetings from France 🇫🇷

    Cool man, thinking about getting a thumb throttle as well. What's your final assessment of it? Better control with or without?

    • @GLYDePATH475
      @GLYDePATH475  Год назад +1

      To be honest I do like it. The only issue I seem to be having is how tight the clamp is when installing. There is a “sweet spot” you can only go to or the throttle will stick at random and that’s never good so I’m adjusting the clamp and trying it out as I go. I’ll have another video up specifically for the thumb throttle next week so make sure to check that out!!

    • @GLYDePATH475
      @GLYDePATH475  Год назад +1

      It depends on which country you live in. I live in the United States so the GT1 that is shipped here is the GT1P model number. Those that live somewhere like Germany have the GT1D model which is electronically governed at 25 KPH. The only way I could see someone obtaining a US model is to purchase one, send it to the states to someone you know/trust, then have it shipped to you’re home country. I think it’s ridiculous but that’s BIG government for you… Hopefully the laws for you’re country change and if they do, Segway would release an updated firmware to allow the faster speeds. Hope that helps clear up why you’re limited on speed.
