    My understanding is if you keep the turbo actuators lubed with 3in1 youll be okay. Its the actuators that fail. Good to see folk persevering and not giving in to the defeatist attitude. Top shagger 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    You've proved that it can be done without having to separate the body and the chassis. Refitting them should be quicker. I bet removing the 2nd turbo was quicker than the first.

    Should come with a, "Don't try this at home" warning. Unbelievable achievement.

    Has this been put back together yet? Just seems a bit worrying if you cant get to the oil return to undo it so you cut it off how are you going to tighten the new one up?

    Thank you for the video! Awesome work getting them removed. I had started but resorting to sending the car off to get done!
    Amazing effort getting them out, hopefully fitting is easier!

    How did you end up getting the suspension arm off ? Because I’m currently struggling with that, can you specify what size span nets you used and where you held stuff

    • @TyredFormat
      @TyredFormat  2 месяца назад +1

      I cant remember the size off the top of my head. But my god, what a design that is I feel your pain!
      Essentially I had to wiggle the spanner behind the strut to hold the nut from spinning on one side, and then undo it from the side you can just about to get it slowly.
      I ended up dropping spanners down the back there and found them in the undertray when I took it off to do the service.

      @@TyredFormat thanks for the info but I’ve managed to get an 18mm on wich is the right size I think and instead of coming loose it just slips wich is weird, I’m going to dry a special bolt free er spray and some heat but other than that I can’t see what to do. Can you remember if it was millimeters or inches ? Metric or imperial ?

      @TyredFormat  2 месяца назад

      @@undecided3817 Its all Metric mate! MM's. It might be that the spanner is too thick at the edges and doesnt fit in the recess the bolts in?

    Can’t you just drop the whole exhaust system out the rear of the car?

    • @TyredFormat
      @TyredFormat  9 месяцев назад

      Yes that’s also an option but a lot of mine had stuck bolts so would’ve required a lot more cutting

      @@TyredFormat Thought they just come off the rubber mounts.

    Normally you would remove the front prop on a v6

    • @TyredFormat
      @TyredFormat  9 месяцев назад

      Looking at the same service manual the 2.7 TDV6 is considerably easier to do the job overall!

      @@TyredFormat absolutely. Never known anyone mad enough to do the v8 body on!
