Fun fact: Apparently the steam attack scales with Destruction perks. Probably because its a power rather than an innate trait of the weapon, like other enchantments.
Can you elaborate ? Which perks ?
The fire ones, the steam power is considered to be a fire attack by the game.

AFAIK, due to the unusual nature of the Steam Breath attack, just Destruction fire perks. It isn’t a ‘standard’ enchantment, so most of those perks would do jack, and it isn’t an illusion spell so illusion perks would do jack.

Alduin's ham was well and truly steamed by the end of it all.
Considering the dwarven helmet actually has a mouth, I like to think Steamed literally just chugs 10 bowls of soup down through his helmet before the encounter.
Honestly that works perfectly for how the increased stamina regen from the soup could realistically increase steam production - chugging ten bowls of piping hot soup would probably make anyone start vomiting steam, helmet or no...
This is like something Sheogorath would do for fun. Just running across Skyrim shooting steam at people and chugging hundreds of bowls of vegetable soup

Redguard was the right call for the challenge. Their stamina recovery ability is fantastic.
14:00 there’s actually really interesting lore for this. One of the peasants in the flagon can be pickpocketed revealing that he has a letter on him stating he’s a spy for the thalmor. Inside the embassy you can hear him demanding a raise with one of the elves and if he makes it out alive than during the search for esbern when attacked by thalmor agents he was solely responsible as he ever heard your searching for him.
If you kill him early I’m pretty sure the thalmor never appear
It's amazing how useless the thieves guild in skyrim can be to you, but when it comes to the thalmor they are ready to bend over for a few coin.

It always bugged me that, by the time you'd typically find this helmet it's fairly useless for most players, it's such a cool unique item it's just hidden behind a lot of hoops unless you go straight for it

Thinking about the lore, this armour/weapon is probably perfect for wood elves. Due to them being cannibals, they can pre-cook enemies on the battlefield. AND due to living in Valenwood's forests, they have to be careful using fire to cook, so steaming everything would probably be a godsend.

edit: Upon reflection and my understanding, it's a yes/no. They are religiously required to be cannibalistic if they kill a man/mer, but at the same time the act itself is treated with little reverence.
Additionally, steamed meat is healthy and delicious!
You should have grinded your restoration until you got the respite perk, since your spells would then restore stamina.

Just an FYI, the breath's damage can be increased using Fortify Destruction potions.
I can't see anyone using the stronger potions/enchantments exploit on this, no sir, not one bit. For anyone seeing this that is unfamiliar, it involves fortify restoration potions and fortify alchemy enchantments feeding into each other, it ends with having overpowered potions (like 256,422% improvement) to improve a desired skill or effect. When done right you can stock yourself with these op potions and create something stupid like turning the fork and knife into 1 hit kill weapons or become one punch man with the fortify unarmed enchantment.

@@liquidsleepgames3661 It was the people running them who were corrupted, doing shock, lobotomies, experimenting on and drilling into people's heads in some weird twisted version of science. Now we have "Mental Health Facilities" that just medicate and forget. Plus, there are people who exist in the world, currently running things into the ground, that seriously need to be placed in a (better regulated and staffed) asylum.
I'm gonna need an asylum if I keep having to buy this game for another ten years.
I'd love to see Skyrim beat using only Arniel's convection. I'm not sure it would be possible to actually get the spell without attacking, but I think it would be a cool challenge.
It is not possible without console comands/modding it in early as you have to become leader of the mages guild witch means beating arcano in 1 on1 combat while heeding the staff to drain the eye
@@robertduggan4617 Well, technically you can do that without attacking. Just need to bring along a follower, dismiss them, and then use the War Crime puppy to finish the fight. The Eye isn't alive, and so cannot be harmed.

With mods you can add so many more things to do, places to go, cool items to find and npcs to talk to. A lot of the time, I can never decide what to get. Most of the time it's just quality of life stuff.

Theres always a loading screen with each race with armor and weapons
High elves have thalmor robes and a daedric sword and a shock spell
Nords have steel plate and a steel greatsword
Khajit have thieves guild armor and ebony daggers
Wood elves have leather armor and the frickin nightingale bow
Argonians have.. tankards and chef tunics
Redguard have hammerfall garb and a scimtar
Dark elves have dark brotherhood armor and two daedric daggers
Breton has novice robes and an illusion staff
Orcs have two orcish war axes and fur armor
Imperials have imperial heavy armor and shields
I think thats all of them..

I had tried this one early on around 2016. I wasn't as hardlined on making builds and challenges at that age so I gave it up but it honestly felt quite powerful.
Alduin not breaking the wall right at the start of the game in a new release is such a classic Bethesda move

Interesting point. I was inclined to call it invalid because no means no. But that makes sense from a technicality perspective.
But if this was legit, then why not just command console every item in question for each run at the beginning of each test? Because it's just to see if completion is physically POSSIBLE, not lore-friendly canon possible?
That Steamed Hams part killed me. Laughed so hard my mother questioned if I was alright.
I remember I once tried to play a sort of "Stamina Mage" by using this, the Dawnguard Rune Hammer, and the Dawnguard Rune Shield to produce various magical effects with Stamina instead of Magicka. While I did get all the items, they weren't really useful enough to rely on all the time, and I ended up mostly just playing as a regular two handed fighter. But it was worth a fun idea while it lasted.
After a quick bit of research some ways to make this easier would be;
1) Fortify Destruction potions, because the destruction potions don't do anything to casting costs but instead increase the damage. And the Breath of Nchuak is affected by you destruction. This also means getting the Augmented Flames Perks would help your damage as well.
2) Using the Respite Perk from Restoration would give you a quick method of healing up your stamina as well as your health
3) To get ridiculous use the vampirism and necromage combo to enhance the breath power a decent bit
So basically a shout will no cool down kinda... Niiccee!
It technically has like a 2 second cool down but it's barely noticeable, especially if you have a lot of stamina or good regen

I've followed this channel for a bit now and every single video has been an absolute BANGER keep up the good work bro!
You can actually get a free horse if you help Shadr the stablehand in Riften get out of his debt with Saphire. It's a really easy miscellaneous quest that takes about a minute and can save you that 1000 gold you spent on buying a horse. After reporting back to Shadr about how you got him off his debt, you are classified as his friend and you can go and take one of the horses in the Riften stables for free. It even spawns in at places you fast travel to.
You can get one at Katla's Farm for one singular potato.

With a weapon restricted run, the rule should more accurately be " no damage may be delt with anything but the chosen weapon"

I know it’s obviously too late to help, but since the helmet itself provides a stamina enchantment, it can provide infinite stamina from unequiping and re-equipping whenever you run out

For anyone wanting to try this for themselves: Fortify Destruction Potions affect the Breath of Nchuak. The most plentiful ingredients for fortify destruction are Nightshade and Glowing Mushroom (DO NOT mix Nightshade and Ectoplasm, the result will have a weaker effect.) Comberry and Daedra Venin will produce even more powerful potions, but those ingredients are only available through the Khajiit Caravans.
You should have got the restoration perk that restores stamina as well as health, it would have helped a lot.

Here's something that would've drastically helped with the run: the Restoration skill tree. There's a certain restoration skill called "Respite" which restores both health AND stamina when using a healing spell.
I watched this as my first video to this channel when this video just released and I am happy watching these videos and cant wait for more

Highly recommend it, at least it's easy to access, its available on everything lol
The wine items are also very useful for stamina restoration. Just having a few mead/wine bottles on you can get upwards of 1000 stamina for around 30 weight
edit: investing in Restoration is a good idea; there's this one perk that makes heal spells restore stamina as well
The respite perk. You'd be right but it requires rank 40 restoration. Nerbit was only able to get 29-30 restoration from what I saw.

No clue why but this is one of my favorite challenges of yours to rewatch.
Tried this, got some tips for others.
Stamina is key but leveling up is tedious. The skills I focused on were enchanting, sneak, and heavy armor. I would disenchant anything I could, sneak until I blasted my steam, then got hit during combat. Also if anything was using frost damage I would have to run away and use tedious sneak strats. Because my health was always low I would usually try to run away from any dragons that I came across if I could as I couldn't get any xp from it. Anyways I made it to the council meeting between the greybeards and the civil war but then nobody was taking their seats and they killed me when I tried nudging them closer to their seats... I decided to call it quits after another couple of hours of trying and searching online.
It's the first challenge I tried to do and though it's tedious as hell I kind of enjoyed it.
One of the new weapons in Skyrim Anniversary Edition is a Fishing Rod. First thing that came to mind is that it would be an interesting challenge.

Just for reference-
Steam is technically considered a fire spell of some kind just reskinned to be steam instead, Centurions are immune to fire which is why steam does nothing to them.
They're not immune to fire, as far as I've ever seen.
I had no idea this even existed, it's so crazy how I still have so much to explore in Skyrim, can't wait to begin my new playthrough next month with survival mode!

You know, you never needed vegetable soup, restoration (For stamina) or potions. If you had favourited the helmet and put it on a keybinding you could have infinite stamina. This is why this helmet is underrated. You don't have to put a single point in stamina as long as you have this one helmet and if you have it you get a steam power that for the most part sucks ass unless you're in survival and hunting rabbits.
To be honest, Rahgot's mask could be better, but Mzund's mask prevails in practicality where it can be worn with dwarven armor, gives you power and is easier to obtain.
So ye, this run could have been a lot easier if he had just spammed 1 on his' keybindings and unequipped and equipped his' helmet.
I give this video a rating A for effort. But F for foolness.
