Are we sure they didn't include the part about Le Fil's pronouns? I have vivid memory of him talking about it in the episode, wasn't it like around the introduction when he did it? Or was that Crave's clip on YT/Untucked? I have yet to see newer seasons of UK and I definitely haven't watched any meet-the-queen this season. Either way - show could have mentioned it more than once. Especially to other contestants, cause I feel like Cheryl out of all the contestants was the one who used the wrong ones in the reunion episode, lol.
At the same time I would not replace Beaver for top 2 mechanics. Unless they would decide to add extra 5-10 minutes, where they just give us second lipsync for the Beaver and cash.
@@mjm3091I wouldnt be mad if it there was 2 lipsyncs. 1 lipsync where the winners of the episode lipsynced for more money and the golden beaver. Other lipsync for your life. Like they did it in UK S03 premiere. But I guess it would be too much. I would love it though
It is so odd that they decided to do another micro season. Ukvtw2 at least added a few episodes. Hopefully this is the last Micro season. I think its pretty clear the vstw will get views by now
On the other hand they probably would split the Snatch Game and some other challenges into full old challenges. If they kept the quality for those extra few episodes, then yeah. But it would fully make me scary, that this would make it worse.
Agreed. I really didn't get where Fierce was going w/ her character bc, imo, she seemed to have based it off an AI script of Mother Teresa & didn't understand anything abt her. It reminded me of some of the other worst Snatch game characters like Chichi playing Maya Angelou (tho I ❤️Chichi) . The problem w/doing religious icons is Mother Teresa isn't like other ones, Fierce could have done a generic Pope & then made up the characterization & jokes bc that's frequently done by comics w/there being so much to critique abt the Catholic Church & its' corruption. But I think that level of creativity is beyond Fierce as a performer right now. Mother Teresa, frankly imo, I can't identify anything truly funny abt her, if fact she almost boringly good bc she is 1 of the rare religious figures who actually doesn't have a history of being shady, exploiting people, abusing kids, etc. Honestly, she's prolly the only positive representive the Catholic Church has even had in the last century. And no, I'm not religious, Xtian or Catholic but it's one thing to mock religious figures known as hypocrites, criminals or just bad people & it's another to mock someone who prolly will be canonized as a saint bc they were decent people & while I didn't verify this, I think she was also a Noble Peace prize recipient. I just feel if she really wanted to use she had 2 options, in using a fml character & faith, if sticking to mother Teresa she either needed to base her jokes off the actual events of her life & try making the jokes accessible to the GP & not too "high brow". Or she should have just played a generic religious person bc her character & gestures reminded me more of the elderly Italian & Latina abuelas I grew up around, praying their rosaries. If Fierce needed to follow the golden rule, KISS & prolly would have had a better chance of not being eliminated that episode
Cheryl not getting a win was the most unsatisfying part of the season. I agree her runways weren’t the best but were also giving Kennedy wins with some terrible makeup and hair choices so I don’t understand why they couldn’t just give her a win when she was the best in at least two episodes. That’s the only big disappointment of this season because even though her storyline was doing better than in the other seasons I feel like getting a win would have been the only redemption arc being fulfilled because even though Lemon was the first out on uk vs the world she did very good on her season.
The only reason I’m sad this season wasn’t the top 2 format is that we would’ve finally saw Cheryl get her flowers, she would’ve gotten probably 2 or even 3 wins.
@@tiggertheanimal it's not too much. Canada always kept attention to full package and others also did great in the Hole challenge, with Cheryl's look not being on the same level, it was obvious it wouldn't go to her. This is what makes Canada different - where runways are actually important and not usual waste of money, where some gimmick character look or fave queen gets the win over actual good outfit.
About episode 5, I’ll just say. I find it weird how for the Canada 4 rusical, the beaver twist ended and so the bottom 2 couldn’t be chosen by the queens. Realistically they could’ve very easily say “there’s no more beaver” and save Fierce from the bottom since she was the clearly third best of the week, and having Kennedy and Alexis lip sync.
At the same time - Fierce also had worse track record, they probably expected Lemon to pick her, but she decided to pick the challenge and keep same energy in the top 4 lipsyncs as Kennedy and Alexis, giving her the crown. I do actually like that they did keep it - this made the rules consistent and not based on a whim of the producers. It is also important to mention that - Canada 4 was longer season, so they could drop the gimmick earlier.
One of my favorite things about this season is the redemption arc of Kennedy Davenport. She was the villain of Season 7, and got a very minor edit on All-Stars 3 that culminated in her getting a Top 2 spot many think wasn’t deserved (and achieved by one of the worst Drag Race twists ever). This season, she was one of the narrators in the confessionals, and seemed to generally be having more fun this time. She did have the one questionable challenge win, but she still seems to be MUCH better regarded this time than her last 2 seasons. And coming from someone who’s seen Kennedy live and met her, I’m VERY happy for her with that.
I think Lemon suffered the same thing with Sethlas in Espana All Stars. She went in favored but when she is doing great and she is given an unfair high placement, people instantly turn on her. And I just cannot agree that the lip sync finale was that hard to call. Cheryl should have won. Alexis should have won. But Lemon easily did the best. And she did the best against a very solid task.
I think Cheryl should've won the roast challenge because she had the best or second best jokes (depending on who you ask) and had a good runway and would definitely make sense to give her that win to even the win scores with Lemon at 2 Kennedy and 1 Cheryl at 1 an Alexis at 1 which would make the season more interesting
I just can’t help but feel like having a season only be 6 episodes is just not worth airing? Like I’d rather just not have it if it’s going to be so short lived and lower budgeted
@@sionellmccubbin953 nah i get that, thats y i felt like it should have either been longer or something cuz the current iteration felt like the tension wasnt as high as it could have been cuz there was a lack of win diversity n low episode count, thus making it feel extremely rushed
From what I have heard, Crave and the BBC both order a specific number of episodes, and instead of putting all of those episodes in their regular season, they take six out for VS the World to expand viewership (mostly US flagship). In theory, it sounds logical, but I don’t know how true that actually is.
@@sionellmccubbin953 with how good this season was - I disagree. Let's just remember that most pageants don't last weeks. This is ok length for this budget and production. Hopefully, with how well received this one was - we can only hope they add extra 4 episodes to season 3.
@@mjm3091 it’s not a pageant though it’s a television show. I think it’s reasonable to expect a television show to last more than 6 episodes. And this season gave us some really good moments but I still think overall the VS The World franchise is a chop. What really killed me with this season was the lack of a top two on comboed short season.
I had a major problem with the first episode being the girl groups. The non english queens are at a disadvantage. They should do a ball as the first challenge
"episode 3: fierce makes a classic rdpr sin by playing a character that is too close to her personality" Well, thats a sin for some queens but for others (Silky, Vangie and others) apparently thats a blessing.
The riggory started before the queens arrived on set. The plan was to have Lemon and Kennedy in the final 2, with Lemon winning. It didn't play out like that, but producers still got their winner.
Lemon killed this season. Ppl will always say a season is "made for __ to win" just because they're bitter about their fav queen not doing as well I fear.
Lemon was never safe - anyone arguing with that would be just delusional. For that judging, rules and challenges - she was the clear winner at the end. And she kept the same energy in both of her lipsyncs in top 4. Would she do as well, if it was longer season - hard to tell. Did I root for Kennedy? Yeah, but Ms. Davenport just fell slightly short when it comes to wins and also got unlucky with the rng with the final lipsyncs. Cause she definitely had better chance, if she was in top 2. With the main nail to the coffin being her not being funny in Snatch Game.
Just because a queen does well doesn’t mean it wasn’t also made for them to win. She’s the clear fan favourite and deserved the crown but that was production’s plan from the start no matter what
@mjm3091 everyone on the cat said lemon got a favorable edit for episode 2, and Lemon should've been safe for the ball her design look wasn't futuristic. This isn't me saying she would've flopped but she shouldn't have been in the top every week. And her runway in episode 5 was chopped with un-blended makeup and a crazy lace-line.
My theory on La Kahena's casting is that production wanted a french queen on the season to appeal to the french-canadian audience, since all 3 Canada queens were from Toronto
One big problem with this season was that it didn't feel like it was "anybody's game." I like it when I don't know who's gonna win, like AS6. But this season it was obvious Lemon would win. Producers were not going to let an American queen win two years in a row.
YOU, the DRAG DETECTIVE, deciding not to watch global all stars?? That’s the craziest thing you’ve ever said, and I’ve been watching you for years. Watch Global. It’s not bad yet. And we want to see you unrig it
It’s DEFINITELY bad, I wanted so badly for it to be good but with the obvious bias towards the non-native English speakers and super short episodes it’s just not working
I feel like Lemon wasn't heavily favored, just like you said, but it was just so obvious the season was "made" for her. There were heavy rumors they wanted a canadian to win this time around and based on the challenges they picked for this season, it all pointed to Lemon exceeding. It's not het fault and it doesn't take away the work she did on the season, but just like Jimbo on AS8, Shea on AS5, Tia on Ukvstw2 (and potentially Alyssa on Global, being honest), you can clearly tell they were a production favorite before the season even started.
the challenges sound pretty diverse 2 me, esp with such a compressed season. i think lemon just happens 2b rlly gr8 @ a lot of things. also these contestants r very strong. they didnt choose a weak cast. there were so many good winner picks 2; i think she proved herself the best option. lemon does feel like the biggest favourite, but she was also the best i think.
THANK YOU, i also don't get the Lemon hate......i think it's the fact that people were predisposed with the idea of Lemon being the clear front runner that they hyperfocused on the miniscule flaws causing them to cling on to them in order to "justify" why the didn't want her to win. As for the final lip syncs, i thought her lip syncs were pretty even so it makes sense why she ended up winning them.
“The riggory” and it’s just Lemon’s one wonky placement in the Ball Honestly this was a super fair season so I can’t imagine how this was 40 minutes unless we get another crazy Drag Detective take
This is not only one of the best seasons ever but also one of the least rigged. They did so many new approaches, like the rusical/snatch game, the roast, the girl group, improv. Only the ball is 100% like any other season. The storylines were great, same as the rudemptions. Also I dont think it was that predictable: Eureka in the bottom 2 the first episode and not making it to the finale....was not something I expected. I also didnt expect Cheryl slay that season so hard. I also think everything was really fair. I also think Lemons High placement in the ball was completly deserved, because she was the best/second best in both of the 1 and 2 categorie.
the combo of snatch game/rusical was so odd to me. it was like they judged it on both challenges criteria when it clearly was more dominantly a musical
I have never really been filled with emotion by a lip sync on drag race ever, but Alexis in hers vs Fierce.. oh my god. I was teared up. It was beautiful. The dress movement and her emotion. One of the best of all time imo.
Hi hi I wanted to pop in and say that I’m sorry people have been so awful on twitter. You’re one of my favorite if not my favorite DR content creator. Keep up the great work 😊❤
Belakboy said in a video once that sometimes it takes one iffy win for the fandom to turn on a queen. In Lemon’s case I think it was the high in the ball where a lot of people called riggory and its kinda tarnished the rest of her run in the eyes of the fandom by no fault of her own.
in every allstars season is made with the winner is predetermined except allstars 6 because they know what is every queens strengths and weakness and so put together a cast that they know cant outshine their winner. what i hated about this season is that the only queen that had a chance of outshining lemon was Kennedy davenport. but Kennedy has a weakness of preforming a emotional ballad song that they can exploit ... and they did.
As a Canadian, I'm so proud to see how GOOD the vs the world seasons have been. And Lemon definitely deserved the crown. She dominated the entire time and it's a huge redemption from her unfair first week elimination (imo) in UK vs the world. Jimbo winning a USA main season of All Stars is also an amazing moment for Canada after her UK vs the world elimination too.
I loved this season so much. One thing I wish they did were to bring in more queens from under utilized franchises like Espana, Thailand and Holland. Also, more queens would mean more episodes, but I'm sure whichever network broadcasts these seasons, determines how many episodes are made. Edit: Some queens I hope come back for Vs the World are Kana Warrior from Thailand, Clover Bish from Espana and even though she's from the UK, either one of Cara Melle, Banksie or Dakota Schiffer would be perfect casting choices.
Le Fil goes by he/they, not he/him. Also, it was not cut out of this season. Direct quote from his entrance: "My pronouns are he, him and they in and out of drag because my drag isn't about emulating a woman; it's about being as feminine as I can being a man." There was an additional scene about pronouns that I believe was bonus content and not in the episodes, but their pronouns were still mentioned in this season right off the bat.
Aside from the rigging, I'm gonna say something potentially controversial: We should have never made cross franchise series aside from a single one like Global All Stars, and instead we just needed Canada All Stars, UK All Stars, etc.
I just want an international allstars that isn’t blatantly set up for the host country/american girls to win! It sucks to see the other franchises being treated as disposable
@@xviolaa See but thats my issue: if the hometown contestant wins, it feels set up or expected, but if another region contestant wins, it feels like a slap in the face to the country its supposed to represent
I said Kennedys lip sync was off and people said I was crazy. Someone literally said "I'm struggling to find where she missed a single word" 😂😂😂 gurl. Thanks for saying that ❤️ 💙 💜 💖
I don’t dispute that Lemon won the season, but I will always support my Queen, Alexis Mateo, and she will always be the winner in my eyes. We need a Latinx Winner!
I think the reason people are so salty about Lemon winning is because before even watching the season it was obvious that a Canadian queen was going to win Canada vs.
People said the same thing with season 1. Didn't stop Rajah and Silky destroying that season. Like I feel until Snatch Game Rusical - Kennedy still had a chance, if she won that episode (or at least was High). And let's be honest - she had huge chance to win that episode. She already won SG once and she did amazing with all the dancing. If her jokes didn't fell flat and she was more focused on the lipsync, she could have won the challenge - like we know she is capable of it, as she did all of it before. And that would be enough for judges to pick her over Lemon in top 4 lipsync and she would have better track record than Alexis/Cheryl. This fully was down to the last challenge.
As a drama teacher, I cringed pretty hard at the improv challenge. The only somewhat believable character with some depth was Fierce.. but somehow they found her to play too much like herself, which can be a huge plus during improv. Is there anyone else who recognizes this?
They should just turn the lip sync for the crown into just a Lalapulrooza challenge with a Winner and someone going home and then have a Top 3. The lip sync for the crown format is so dumb and it would make the season longer
The format was great however the beaver requires only 1 winner and 3 bottom placements, and with just 5 competitive episodes it makes a lot of the girls track records tank, by the end only Lemon Kennedy and Cheryl had good track records which feels a lil odd
This season was way too short, but I still love it for one thing : it turned me into a Cheryl stan. I didn't care about her at all in UK1 or UKvTW1, but here I loved her SO MUCH
it's all riggory, and it's become so formulaic....even their personalities on the show (because they are edited and there are story lines)....i love drag, but i am sort of tired of this being seen as the pinnacle of drag.
Fierce kinda pulled a Valentina on AS4 in which they tried to rely too much into a character to make good tv that by the end they realized they shot themselves in the foot and instead of becoming a front runner they became the delusional girl whos gonna get cut before the finale which hey she still got her flowers from her fans for bringing the drama, but ig she sacrificed the change on the crown by doing her character
I think the reason Lemon is considered very rigged for in this season is for a similar reason as DeLa in AS 3 or Alaska in AS 2. It has nothing to do with their own performance, as all 3 of them did well (Though they might have had a bumped up placement in 1 challenge each). The problem is that the challenges themselves were aligned for them to win. It's something I like to call the "TAR 14 Connudrum". In Season 14 of The Amazing Race (Otherwise known as TAR in the community), there was a single team on the cast who spoke Mandarin and lived in China for multiple years. The season was also the first ever season to spend 3 consecutive legs in a country, that country being China. There were also many Mandarin based tasks within these legs that were simple if you know the language but difficult otherwise (Since English is not a tone language and Mandarin is, repetition tasks are hard if you do not have previous exposure to tones). Given the filming and airing of the season (Just after the Beijing Olympics, they literally go to the Bird's Nest), it felt intensely fishy that they conveniently cast 1 team from the country that hosted that year's olympics just happened to get an endgame that was basically a lock for them to make the finals if they made it to top 6, and everyone called it out (Including actual news websites). They didn't do anything wrong, and their placements weren't altered, but the season was set up in such a way that it was clear that they were being favoured despite no actual rigging happening in their placements. If you'd like to read this in more detail, read The TAR Historian blog on Season 14. This same problem comes with Lemon on this season, because all the challenges are conveniently up her alley, except the ball. Ep 1: Girl Groups. She's known for being a good verse writer. Ep 2: Improv Challenge. She won an improv challenge on her first season. Ep 4: Roast Battles. She's known for being a reader. Ep 5: Rusical Snatch Game. She's known at being good for musical performances. Finale: All the songs in the end are songs you can high energy go off on (Even the final one is still higher energy), and we know Lemon prefers higher energy songs. And given the fact that 7/9 queens on this season had been in the bottom for at least one design/ball challenge they competed in and the fact that Lemon also had the most pre-built storylines (Cheryl, Fierce, Tynomi), it seems very set up for her to win from the start, regardless of her actual placements.
honestly for me it would go: 1. Lemon: WIN - HIGH - HIGH - HIGH - WIN - WINNER (stays the same) 2. Cheryl: HIGH - HIGH - BTM2 - WIN - HIGH - RUNNERUP 3/4. Alexis: LOW - SAFE - WIN - LOW - BTM2 - ELIM Kennedy: HIGH - WIN - LOW - HIGH - LOW - ELIM 5. Fierce: SAFE - LOW - HIGH - BTM2 - ELIM (stays the same) 6. Eureka: BTM2 - SAFE - HIGH - ELIM everyone else also stays rhetorically same
you can say Kahena’s verse was forgettable but I still whisper “versailles versailles getting me high brooke lynn brooke lynn giving me hytes” to myself lmfao
I think this season was a huge redemption for Eureka's personality. I hated her energy the first few times around, but now she feels so mature and at piece with herself that it was a joy to watch
@@rwb3562 i mean she is self centered, most drag queens are. I think we can enjoy someone while still acknowledging their flaws. I think this time she had just the right amount of positives to upset the negatives
5:10 Tynomi Banks did better in her season than their track record?? Girl where? She was worse than her track record and the only reason she went so far is because she is a fierce lipsyncer. She was bad in almost everything and didn't change that in this season. I am all for positivity but let's not lie.
He mentioned it briefly during his entrance but there was a clip cut out (that Le Fil then posted to his Instagram) where he discussed pronouns with the queens in the werkroom.
dare i say out of all the challenges cheryl could've won, the roast was kind of her best episode of DR? the look didn't hold her back and i feel like she did not have ONE flop joke in the challenge + she improv'd just as well as lemon did right before her and then even gagged brooke a bit with that shrek reference 💀 i was surprised they gave the win to kennedy and that's probably the only unsatisfactory moment from this season as a viewer. we were rooting for chez to get on the board!!
I think the 'Vs The World' franchises need bigger casts.... 12 total with a 50/50 split... 6 from the host country and 6 from international franchises (only 1 per franchise)
can we all real quck be thankful that rajah ohara to brooklyn is like ts madison to rupaul also i am biased towards Kennedy davenport the same way kayla is to roxxxy andrews, so that's the only thing i was upset ab. shoutout to canada for bringing back TELEVISION 2 years in a row
Honestly, the only thing I disliked about the season is that Cheryl got shafted by the format of just one winner each episode. She was second best in 4 out of 5 episodes and had this been a top 2 format, she would have had so many wins under her belt, rather than still not having gotten one. However, without this format we wouldn't have gotten the beaver which was so good. I don't understand people saying Lemon was pushed or it was rigged for her. She DEMOLISHED this season with absolutely no pushing or riggory. Outside of then high placement in the ball, she again could legitimately have won 4 of the 5 competitive episodes and was thoroughly deserving of the crown.
They didn’t have to rig the season around Lemon to save/push her, but it’s clear she was cast as the only person production wanted to crown. I’m just glad she did well enough to genuinely deserve it and it didn’t feel as forced as Tia’s was
I love your love for the queens. Your criticism is always followed up by praise and looking at your videos now compared to earlier ones, there is HUGE growth. Especially what you said about your judging of Gigi and Salina
The Lemon hate train is so forced people just want someone to hate on so bad And Cheryl is so fun please Jujubee her, put her on an AS, give her a crown, put her on all winners, put her on another AS
Only Lemon fans think this season wasn't rigged. It's the biggest example of riggory ever when it comes to rage race. Change in format. Judging in teams vs individual. Challenges clearly aimed s yeh winners strengths. More talented queens being eliminated and put in the bottom to taint track records. It's borderline disgusting.
I thought this season was so boring compared to CvTW S1, the only interesting cast member for me was Fierce. I was happy to see Le Fil, Tynomi, and Kahena back but they all either flopped or got paid dust in favor of the bigger names. I'm so over queens getting their 3rd and 4th times back- it made sense for the AS1 queens because well...we don't talk about AS1, but now that queens from successful seasons are getting 3rd+ shots I'm kind of over it. I'd rather see some of the lesser known names back like Jaidynn Diore Fierce, Acid Betty, Yuhua, etc.
Idk why everyone’s torn between “Lemon was planned to win from the start” and “Lemon deserved to win and wasn’t favoured” as though both can’t be simultaneously true. She did a great job and earned her crown but they were never going to give it to anyone else regardless, look at this cast and be fr😭 Tynomi and Fierce were there to bring drama and good tv, Le Fil and Cheryl don’t have a big enough fanbase to profit off of, Kahena wasn’t ready for the Allstars stage and the American queens have all been back 3-4 times, are obviously willing to play ball with WoW and would cause total outrage if they won since in the fans eyes they were already given enough chances. This is no hate to these queens, I love this whole cast, but looking at it from production’s POV it’s clear there was only ever one queen who is both profitable and wouldn’t piss off the fanbase. It’s a win-win scenario for them and thankfully it played out in a way where she genuinely deserved her crowning and wasn’t blatantly saved over and over
“It is the shows responsibility to make sure the audience is aware of how queens want to be identified,” THIS!! I don’t understand why they STILL don’t include pronouns when introducing each queen. If they can tell us their age, they can tell us how they want to be referred to!
THANK YOU for noting Le Fil's pronouns, honestly so upsettin' to me that he couldn't go further on either of his seasons 🧡 I just KNOW he'd have smashed the ball in week 3 Edit: 29:50 this mini challenge had me in stitches, Eureka just screaming at the wind machine and Cheryl shouting, "THEY WANNA SEE YA LET IT OUT" both live in my head rent-free
In Fierce’s defence, that one guy randomly spreading the conspiracy that Fierce was a traitor was straight up whack, like he didn’t even believe it himself and I was genuinely baffled why he’d throw the competition like that.
Lemon deserved the sun hands down. Older queens with nasty attitudes should never wear the crown. Negativity is infectious and spreads hatred, misinformation and often leads to bigotry and violence. Lemon worked her ass off - the others complained and were just always negative
Episode one was judged in groups to allow a Canadian win and stop a Canadian going home first again. The clear top 2 taking into account performance and runway were Le Fil and Alexis. The bottom two were Tynomi and Fierce. But they called Lemons team the top to give lemon the win, and Le Fils team safe to avoid the Canadians being bottom at all and cause they couldn't get away with Le Fil ending bottom when she did the best. Alexis was thrown to the wolves...what better TV than one of the big names and favourites being bottom straight away. And I actually felt La Kahena did that specific song better than Eureka. All massively rigged. And that's what set the season off on a 'it's rigged' foot.
Honestly Lemon killed the entire season BUT I really disliked how the finale lipsyncs were edited to favourite her Kennedy was always edited to be on the background and Alexis was not much shown on the last one. We know how much of a good performer are these girls so there's no way it was a AS7 moment.
Not that I think it should warrent calling Lemon undeserving, but the biggest contention to her win was the final lipsync edit. Which I do agree was almost undeniably edited in her favor. So it was surprising that you didn't mention that at all.

similar to how i feel like alexis did on AS5: could've been top 2 like 3 times at least but was always the bridesmaid, thus having an underrated run
My only complaint about this season was it was too short

It is so odd that they decided to do another micro season. Ukvtw2 at least added a few episodes. Hopefully this is the last Micro season. I think its pretty clear the vstw will get views by now
Same, this season was so good I didn't want it to end
THAT PART!
Imagine how great this show would have been with 12 queens and 10 episodes. It would have actually counted as a full season, not a mini competition.
Came to the comments after that lmao. Thought he could sneak it in there
Cheryl not getting a win was the most unsatisfying part of the season.
Cheryl nonchalantly dropped one of the best lipsync performances of all time in the rusical and we've got to stan for eternity!
If eureka can remember to pay them is wild 😭😭
Context?
Same I need context
No, it's not
@@Restless-beingthere was a designer that called eureka out for owing her 300$. Eureka then paid them and apologized for being so late
Cheryl deserved to win the makeover on UK1, but they rigged that to send her home and now she doesn't have a win on her resume :(
They EASILY could have given the rusical win to her or the Hole challenge to her, but they focused too much on the runways.
The only reason I’m sad this season wasn’t the top 2 format is that we would’ve finally saw Cheryl get her flowers, she would’ve gotten probably 2 or even 3 wins.
@@tiggertheanimal It... was a really bad runway for her.
Cheryl did a great lip sync to the classic HINRG track 🎶so many men🎶
About episode 5, I’ll just say.
But they didn’t want to let the big American names go. Fierce deserves to be in front of ru
It is also important to mention that - Canada 4 was longer season, so they could drop the gimmick earlier.
because then only 2/4 of the finalists wouldve had a win 💀
Still patiently waiting for the Riggory of Canada’s drag race seasons 2 and 3
Canada S3 Riggory:
Jada Shada Hudson lol.
@@simz3192enjoyed her but yeah lmfao
During the girl group challenge, Miss Fiercalicious does this thing where she looks mad while lipsyncing. She did it in her original season too. 😂
Lol. I can imagine she really is mad when lipsyncing in the girl groups! Lmao! 😂😅😂😅😂😅
The term you're looking for to describe Lemon's gay character is 'dandy'.
im just questioning how short this season is, especially considering how only 3 queens won main challenges instead of them being more spread out
I just can’t help but feel like having a season only be 6 episodes is just not worth airing?
"episode 3: fierce makes a classic rdpr sin by playing a character that is too close to her personality"
Well, thats a sin for some queens but for others (Silky, Vangie and others) apparently thats a blessing.
The riggory started before the queens arrived on set. The plan was to have Lemon and Kennedy in the final 2, with Lemon winning. It didn't play out like that, but producers still got their winner.
love the justice for eureka in the ball i was honestly shocked she wasnt high
Lemon killed this season. Ppl will always say a season is "made for __ to win" just because they're bitter about their fav queen not doing as well I fear.
Lemon dominated so much she should have/could have won 3 out of 5 challenges (60% of the competition)... she DID deserve to win
I think riggory is real and many times ppl are pushed over others. Not this time though, Lemon deserved it for sure
Lemon won the season (good for her), Alexis won the final lip sync (fight me), and Fierce won the audience (and my heart).
I think the last win in the lip sync was...fine
I don't think it was rigged or extremely unfair
Any of them could have won
American bias I think
@@audacity1970 ???
To be fair, finale lip syncs have never mattered on Drag Race
Kennedy won hers as well.
I swear on the show le fil mentions that he uses he/him pronouns in and out of drag? Maybe I’m misremembering
They posted it as a secret scene on their RUclips!

I’m so early that La Kaheena is still setting herself on fire in the France S1 werkroom
GINNY LEMON GET READY FOR A WIN BABY
Don’t get it ??
Two other yellow fruit themed or named queens have gotten crowns this year so people are saying it's a thing
@@xviolaa im not loving it yet either but it’s literally only been 3 episodes so far
I like it so far, just HAAAATE how short the episodes are! Like with all these queens yall can't give us longer episodes? Wth!?
I wish they had a spend limit on outfits, like you can only spend $5000 per outfit (excluding grand finale looks)
“The riggory” and it’s just Lemon’s one wonky placement in the Ball
Honestly this was a super fair season so I can’t imagine how this was 40 minutes unless we get another crazy Drag Detective take

Everyone who complains about Fierce not winning the ball needs to touch some grass immediately
I also think Lemons High placement in the ball was completly deserved, because she was the best/second best in both of the 1 and 2 categorie.
global all stars deserves a "unrigging" video WEEKLY
the combo of snatch game/rusical was so odd to me. it was like they judged it on both challenges criteria when it clearly was more dominantly a musical
Very odd to me
Cheryl have had to win second chapter, I dont care about the runaway, she was perfection.
Keep up the great work 😊❤
Thank you so much!!
For Global Allstars it's just what we feared... They seem to be favoring queens judged previously by Ru and/or queens from English speaking countries
This is the most reddit drag race tinfoil conspiracy theorist thing
When was Kennedy given a ballad?! 😂 Alexis and Lemon sang the ballad at the end . . .
I agree that production missed a trick not putting the first two outs of Uk Vs The World as the top 2 of this season.
THIS!!! They could've easily justified a Cheryl win in her lip sync against Alexis.
Direct quote from his entrance: "My pronouns are he, him and they in and out of drag because my drag isn't about emulating a woman; it's about being as feminine as I can being a man." There was an additional scene about pronouns that I believe was bonus content and not in the episodes, but their pronouns were still mentioned in this season right off the bat.
still in disbelief "snatch game the rusical" is a real episode
Aside from the rigging, I'm gonna say something potentially controversial:
We should have never made cross franchise series aside from a single one like Global All Stars, and instead we just needed Canada All Stars, UK All Stars, etc.
I don't understand how Tynomi SUCKS so much at Drag Race. She is HUGE in Canada. I've seen her perform multiple times and she was amazing...
I think the reason people are so salty about Lemon winning is because before even watching the season it was obvious that a Canadian queen was going to win Canada vs.
if someone’s salty about lemon’s win just bring in the tequila ;)
You got that one right . Can we please pick a network and let's just do it all there please.
Giiiiirl, the season hasn't even been dead for a week yet. You're on it with this review 😂😅
And given the fact that 7/9 queens on this season had been in the bottom for at least one design/ball challenge they competed in and the fact that Lemon also had the most pre-built storylines (Cheryl, Fierce, Tynomi), it seems very set up for her to win from the start, regardless of her actual placements.
honestly for me it would go:
1.
Lemon: WIN - HIGH - HIGH - HIGH - WIN - WINNER (stays the same)
2.
Cheryl: HIGH - HIGH - BTM2 - WIN - HIGH - RUNNERUP
3/4.
Alexis: LOW - SAFE - WIN - LOW - BTM2 - ELIM
Kennedy: HIGH - WIN - LOW - HIGH - LOW - ELIM
5.
Fierce: SAFE - LOW - HIGH - BTM2 - ELIM (stays the same)
6.
Eureka: BTM2 - SAFE - HIGH - ELIM
everyone else also stays rhetorically same
A short season like this doesn't work well without a top 2 format and beaver also doesn't make sense in such a small cast
you can say Kahena’s verse was forgettable but I still whisper “versailles versailles getting me high brooke lynn brooke lynn giving me hytes” to myself lmfao
I think this season was a huge redemption for Eureka's personality. I hated her energy the first few times around, but now she feels so mature and at piece with herself that it was a joy to watch
Oh wow really? I still found her very self centered while trying to portray vulnerability, I couldn't wait for her to leave!
@@rwb3562 i mean she is self centered, most drag queens are. I think we can enjoy someone while still acknowledging their flaws. I think this time she had just the right amount of positives to upset the negatives

She was bad in almost everything and didn't change that in this season. I am all for positivity but let's not lie.
Lemon winning was fine, it was just so predictable. Really sad that Cheryl didn't get a win, but glad she made it to the end

thank you so much
ALL the love for Lemon but this season was sort of sided towards her, the edit did her every favor possible
I think Lemon could’ve even won the second challenge as well as the roast battles!
dare i say out of all the challenges cheryl could've won, the roast was kind of her best episode of DR? the look didn't hold her back and i feel like she did not have ONE flop joke in the challenge + she improv'd just as well as lemon did right before her and then even gagged brooke a bit with that shrek reference 💀 i was surprised they gave the win to kennedy and that's probably the only unsatisfactory moment from this season as a viewer. we were rooting for chez to get on the board!!
26:47 I'm sorry...... the best????? it was fine but far from the best
I think the 'Vs The World' franchises need bigger casts....
12 total with a 50/50 split... 6 from the host country and 6 from international franchises (only 1 per franchise)
can we all real quck be thankful that rajah ohara to brooklyn is like ts madison to rupaul
also i am biased towards Kennedy davenport the same way kayla is to roxxxy andrews, so that's the only thing i was upset ab.
shoutout to canada for bringing back TELEVISION 2 years in a row
Not gonna lie, any CDR episode I watch... At the end I change it to "True, North, Strong and Rigged" in my head.
Fun fact, Miss Fiercalicious was a cast member in Traitors Canada season 2.
The Lemon hate train is so forced people just want someone to hate on so bad
And Cheryl is so fun please Jujubee her, put her on an AS, give her a crown, put her on all winners, put her on another AS
Only Lemon fans think this season wasn't rigged. It's the biggest example of riggory ever when it comes to rage race. Change in format. Judging in teams vs individual. Challenges clearly aimed s yeh winners strengths. More talented queens being eliminated and put in the bottom to taint track records. It's borderline disgusting.
23:41 Just a correction: Alexis wasn't eliminated on the Cake Ball episode, but she was indeed Bottom 2.
Le Fil actually told his pronouns on CvstW. Or am I having a Mandela effect?
She did a great job and earned her crown but they were never going to give it to anyone else regardless, look at this cast and be fr😭
Tynomi and Fierce were there to bring drama and good tv, Le Fil and Cheryl don’t have a big enough fanbase to profit off of, Kahena wasn’t ready for the Allstars stage and the American queens have all been back 3-4 times, are obviously willing to play ball with WoW and would cause total outrage if they won since in the fans eyes they were already given enough chances.
I liked CvsTW2, but I didn’t love how this season turned out because all the top 4 queens have already done multiple seasons
THANK YOU for noting Le Fil's pronouns, honestly so upsettin' to me that he couldn't go further on either of his seasons 🧡 I just KNOW he'd have smashed the ball in week 3
Edit: 29:50 this mini challenge had me in stitches, Eureka just screaming at the wind machine and Cheryl shouting, "THEY WANNA SEE YA LET IT OUT" both live in my head rent-free
30:16 Fierce was terrible at strategy in The Traitors Canada too (all while thinking she was killing it), so I'm not surprised
In Fierce’s defence, that one guy randomly spreading the conspiracy that Fierce was a traitor was straight up whack, like he didn’t even believe it himself and I was genuinely baffled why he’d throw the competition like that.
It’d be great to see a video on how this would have played out with previews VSTW rules (ie two winners, lip sync for your legacy)
So it was surprising that you didn't mention that at all.
here's a 50 minute video on how fair the season was! but look at the rigging!
