  • If you've been following me on TikTok you already know I have an obsession with thrifting vintage Coach bags. Because so many people requested a tutorial, I made this video to better explain my process for cleaning bags.
    This is my first youtube video...so if you learned something, give a thumbs up and follow my channel to encourage me to make more videos.
    Shop the supply list below from my Amazon storefront for the exact products I use. There are a ton of product options for this kind of bag cleaning, but if you click through these links it will help support my channel (affiliate).
    Dawn Dish Soap - you probably already have this!
    Fiebing's Saddle Soap - amzn.to/3jedx9t
    Microfiber cloths - amzn.to/3G4ffDi
    Bick 4 Leather Conditioner - amzn.to/3HODOoZ
    Brasso Brass Polish - amzn.to/3HOEWJx

    Are you wetting the brush before dipping it in the saddle soap?

    • @JaneThrifts
      @JaneThrifts  8 месяцев назад +1

      I used minimal water for this for a quick dry time. I wet the brush itself, it helps, it’s best to use more water to really get it sudsing

      These old coach bags are super high quality, you can literally dunk it and leave it in soapy water, rinse and dry it in room temperature and then condition it. I love it. They dont make bags like that anymore, that's why these old coach bags in particular are great!

    • @JaneThrifts
      @JaneThrifts  Год назад +2

      Vintage Coach is the best! It blows my mind every time to do the math on how old some of these bags are and how well they’ve worn and continue to wear.

  • @bagobeans
    @bagobeans Год назад +12

    I would never immerse a leather bag in water. It would destroy all the natural oils in the leather. Who puts plastic bags in a wet leather bag? I have restored Coach leather bags for years...some things you did...I wouldn't recommend. The bag looks dull.

      @@JaneThriftsif you need to stuff your bag and dry at the same time, use paper towels because plastic bag doesn’t have ability to absorb moisture so it will take a lot longer to dry
