I been watching this every couple months since you posted it, just tryna hype myself up to do it lol TYSM for linking the brushes in the description since you didn't mention it in the video! I have the EXACT same bag, gifted to me by my mom & it is hands-down my most prized possession so I am TERRIFIED of messing up, but this video has helped so much! thank you! 🩵
The stress and anxiety I had when you washed the bag in the sink 😩! But OMG! This turned out sooooo nice. I’m definitely going to try this with the 1970's Coach Portfolio I thrifted some years ago ❤
This was awesome!!! I’ve always been intimidated by the thought of restoring a vintage bag but this video gives me confidence!! Thank you for sharing!!😊❤️
I also love rinsing my leather thrifted bags in running water and then conditioning! My mom has a nearly identical vintage Coach bag like the one you have.

I need tricks and tips for the interior plastic zipper that doesn't move freely, please. Good job🎉 Curious about the saddle soap, why not use it before dunking??? Saddle soap is drying.
I have this same bag! I hope I can get it as good as you did. Also my bottom is sagging out. How would you recommend I correct that. Thank you and keep up the good work
Thank you! Isn’t it such a lovely bag? If you’re going to clean it, you can stuff it with towels to reshape it while it drys to add structure back to the bottom.
I found this exact bag today at my local value Village except mine is dark brown. How can I find out when this bag was made? Mine is in really good shape.
I'm going to do this, I bought a beautiful vintage coach bag but it is DIRTY! and dunking it in water seems like the only option that will really clean it 😩
These old coach bags are super high quality, you can literally dunk it and leave it in soapy water, rinse and dry it in room temperature and then condition it. I love it. They dont make bags like that anymore, that's why these old coach bags in particular are great!
Vintage Coach is the best! It blows my mind every time to do the math on how old some of these bags are and how well they’ve worn and continue to wear.
I would never immerse a leather bag in water. It would destroy all the natural oils in the leather. Who puts plastic bags in a wet leather bag? I have restored Coach leather bags for years...some things you did...I wouldn't recommend. The bag looks dull.
@@JaneThriftsif you need to stuff your bag and dry at the same time, use paper towels because plastic bag doesn’t have ability to absorb moisture so it will take a lot longer to dry
@ *lvguci* You are so well-informed about luxury accessories and bags. You've obviously done your due diligence and the comparison to the US is very informative...because of course, I live in New York. thank you very much.
Love the restoration and ignore the naysayers you did a beautiful job.
Appreciate that! Thank you 😌

Oh my goodness such a sweet comment. I’m so glad you have the confidence to work on such a cherished piece now 🤍
Soooooo helpful - clear and fun and straightforward. So appreciated! Would love more rehab videos!
TYSM 🥰 I plan to post another! Sometime soon if I’m lucky
I have the same bag and another 90’s coach bag, handed down to me by my mom, and have been wondering out to restore! This is so helpful. Thank you!
Love that you are keeping these in the family!
I have watched about a dozen coach bag restore videos, and this one is my favorite! That you 😊
Love hearing that, thanks for watching ☺️

It’s so satisfying to bring it back to life! Makes me think your mom has an OG vintage Coach. Crazy! I love the quality of these bags.
Where can I get the saddle soap..not sure with the saddle? Thanks a lot

Saddle soap is drying.
Great detailed video. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed! 😍
Are you wetting the brush before dipping it in the saddle soap?
I used minimal water for this for a quick dry time. I wet the brush itself, it helps, it’s best to use more water to really get it sudsing
Love love love

Love *amzrepe* bags, stylish and functional. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I use newspaper to stuff the bags while drying
Great tip
Does that not ruin the raw suede in it?

I never soak them
In water 💦 maybe it works
I've had a lot of success dunking bags but only do it if necessary
When people say *amzrepe* is a better choice, I totally agree!
Are you selling this bag by any chance?
I no longer have it!
I don't think soaking it in the water is a good idea.
It definitely depends on the bag
