Dmitry Kim is the drummer in this song, he was the drummer for their "King of Everything" album. He replaced their previous drummer Eugene Mantulin after he had a horrific accident falling off a balcony and shattering his spine. Dmitry would have been the permanent replacement drummer but chose not to because he couldn't commit to Jinjers'insane touring schedule. So instead he was just a "fill in" drummer until they could find a permanent replacement which ended up being Vlad in 2016. Dmitry is an insane drummer as well, and if you choose to react to some other official Jinjer videos from their King of Everything album like "Just Another", "Sit Stay Rollover" or "Words of Wisdom" you'll see him in those videos as well. Peace and stay Metal. 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🤘🤘🤘🤘
He is also still involved with the band and does a lot of their live mixing. You can also see him (and their previous second guitarist) in the background in the official video for The Prophecy.
Saw a live performance of this song on RUclips. She can sing this song damn near perfectly outside of the studio. That final clean passage sounds absolutely phenomenal.
Jinjer does something consistently that I think is indicative of the best art of any medium. The make something that is simultaneously unexpected, and seemingly inevitable.
Tatiana was able to do her thing for the entirety of her Jinjer career. The first album has songs where they are literally playing in a little studio box with their socks on, most of them had dreads at the time. This video here I believe is the earliest official video after she cut her hair off, during a time where she felt the band was falling apart, but there are some bootleg live videos with her having shorter hair, and evidently not the best mood. And yes, they do this for a long time, pretty much all the way back, although the first album is a little different I guess (still good songs, imo). This song here is actually a very metaphorical love song about her search for a soulmate, and with Pisces her most personal song. There is also a short making off video for this one, if you are interested in that. There is also a live version of this song, the audio quality is just not quite up there and most people do only one version, so people usually rather recommend the official video (which of course also deserves credit for what it is).
Concur on all this. At present, I'd recommend for a live version looking up the Alive In Melbourne full set and using the link in the video description to see I Speak Astronomy there. The making of is great. I love Tati getting frustrated at being coached on her performance and saying "I have a boyish fist, I can't do it girly!" haha.
Not much else I can say about Dimitri Kim that hasn't already been said, but he is still a friend of the band and does stage work for them as well as making himself available as a session drummer for other bands. He actually has some playthrough videos here on YT that are worth watching. He is indeed a skilled drummer, like Vlad.
Dimitri Kim is the drummer in this video. He left because he just didn't want to keep up with their near-constant touring. He left on good terms, and is still quite close with the band. The new live album, 'Alive In Melbourne" - the gatefold of the LP basically lays out the history of the band, as written by Eugene. Dimitri even produced that album! Jinjer has gone through several lineup changes...this album, King Of Everything, was their 2nd full length LP, and to me, where they really set their form.
To see some great early songs from them check out the "Crowd Factory DVD Trailer" which is a live performance of Exposed As A Liar with some jazzy parts that feel like they should be performed in a sequined dress in front of a black tie audience, mixed with brutal growls, as one does. Also Scissors either official or the Beastarium recording session video which along with I Speak Astronomy are 2 of the 3 love songs Tati has ever done with Jinjer - the 3td being Waltz. Also Destroy at Beastarium which is a lesser known song but incredibly impressive (I think they may have neglected it because it was a song Tati inherited from their original singer, a guy who was quite good but nowhere near the vocal phenomenon Tati is and she brutally owns the song - they are still friends with him and a journalist showed up to interview Tati in LA and was surprised because she wasn't there but Maksym was hanging out on the bus haha). To see Vlad doing this song, go to the Alive In Melbourne full set video and use the link in the video description to watch it. The song was written by Tatiana as a "call to the universe" (her words) to find someone she's mentally and spiritually compatible with and is all astronomical double entendres. If you want to see more from Dmitry Kim, he is drumming for a series of excellent covers of classic rock and metal songs on the channel Sershen & Zaritskaya that are well worth checking out even if you don't react to them. Daria Zaritskaya has the perfect voice for it. And is very easy to watch haha.
Love watching you react to Jinjer; it’s like I get to discover them all over again. I’m 43 and discovered them about two years ago and they very quickly became one of my favorite bands. Can’t wait until you get to “Cloud Factory” official live version. Hope you and your family have a great holiday. Take care.
this song's ending is one I've shown friends who don't really get into metal as my continual efforts to counter stereotypes of what metal can be. It's always funny when they hear the fade out and seem unimpressed and then BAM goosebumps
**JINJER - Words of Wisdom (Live) | Napalm Records** This is one of those songs where if you're driving you suddenly realize you are going alot faster then you were moments before... Love it
It is always very nice to see Jinjer reactions from you. It is really entertaining to see you getting blown away! They are an amazing band all in all Really hope that we get to see more of them and other surprising bands in yout channel. I would wish to see your reaction to DIABLO - GRACE UNDER PRESSURE . Awesome band and very awesome song!
@@OldSkuleNerd Cloud Factory is an earlier Jinjer song with a different dynamic but amazing in its own way by the end. If you want some jinjer check that one
This is from 2016, same album as “Pisces”. This was their major label debut album. Definitely check out either the live at Resurrectionfest or Alive in Melbourne for great live versions of this song with Vlad.
I keep forgetting the Melbourne ones, would probably be the best quality but you have to go into the full concert video and check the timestamps for it. Doesn't have the cool dress she made out of the catsuit though. I personally like the one at Summer Breeze, because of her little intro kick at the beginning.
Please check out DEAD LABEL (an Irish band)! Sl glad you FINALLY listened to this! My favorite Jinjer song by far. If you losten to it and concentrate just on the drums. He absolutely killed it the entire song.
Glad you liked it, but being Jinjer, I knew you would. Another awesome thing about this video, is how much is fits into the theme of Destiny, with that broken down looking Vex Gate they are playing in front of, and the space theme.
I think when Roman and Eugene teamed up the creativity level took off like a rocket. I believe this drummer fell out of a third story window and was rendered unable to play. They hired him recently to be in a video. (Disclosure?). Anyway that's how I heard it. Don't know this young man's name but he's a major drum beast, like Vlad but with his own unique style. They seem to attract the top-most tier of talent both musically and technically. Their studio sound, their live sound and their videography is as good as there is in music right now. We'll see what the fallout from this war brings for the future of both Ukraine and the members of this truly exceptional band.
Dmitry Kim is a badass drummer. You can see him doing playthroughs here on you tube. And it's a new "video" The song has been out since Macro launched.
There is plenty of live cuts of this with Vlad. This was back in 2016. Shortly after Vlad joined in 2016 was the catalyst for Pisces live session. They wanted to showcase Vlad's style.
You should take it back even further way back to 2012, songs "Sissors" or "Exposed as a Liar". They are a dated sound of a younger, kinda juvenile Jinjer but it's a very fun experience and will showcase how much they have grown!
A musically, lyrically and visually epic journey!! So much talent, skill, originality, fresh takes on the genre....This really is a once in a decade band. Just epic!
Hey man, if you're looking Jinjer you'll probably like Periphery. Surely some people have been recommending them. Imagine a Jinjer with a male singer and 3 guitarists instead of one. Plenty of chugging guitar riffs but also a lot of melodic stuff and some sick solos. The vocalist is also a beast, great cleans and screams/growls. For you...I'm thinking Marigold.

The only song I know of without any extreme vocals (growls or screams) by Tatiana is "Bad Water" off of Cloud Factory. I think it's a great song that is sadly overlooked and well worth the listen. They have an official video (studio version) as well as an official live video. Either are worth watching.
King Of Everything is an older album, but not that old. It came out in 2016. I personally think it's the album where Jinjer really got into their element, and it's my favourite album. Vlad's technique is out of this world, but one thing I do miss is the speed in their older drum work. Most of my favourite Jinjer tracks are the faster ones. You should check out 'Sit, Stay, Roll Over'. It's a faster one and one of their heaviest songs to date.
A good time to review this song with the Jupiter Saturn convergence happening this week... For a limited time only! Not to mention the speculation of a small black hole just beyond our solar system. There is a thought that a black hole could be a gateway to a parallel universe or a short cut to another destination.
Ice Nine Kills is a band and all their songs are themed after serial killer and thriller movies. The American Nightmare is a good intro and is Freddy Kruger based
Jinjer are great aren't they. Best 4-piece around. If you're looking for 5 amazing musicians try Unleash the Archers (although they technically don't have a bass player at the moment but watch Awakening) or if you want to have your mind blown by a bunch of kids from Mexico The Warning is the way to go
Beggars Dance is epic and always puts a smile on my face. They used to play it as a recorded outro as they cleared the stage when they were an opening act and in one bootleg video you can see the members of the next band in the wings dancing to it. :)
Awesome reaction to a great song as always when both you and Jinjer is in it ;) Watched Miss Hale and Miss Lee just before this one and that is just one awesome duet. Absolutely love Halestorm. She is a vocal powerhouse aswell, and you should check out "I miss the misery" by them. Another song i have requested before and will keep requesting untill you do it is "Sons of winter and stars" by Wintersun. Epic and legendary in every way possible ;) And from Finland... And if you need a few more there is also "Nemesis" by the swedish band Arch Enemy live from Wacken 2016 and "Big Bad Wolf" by the band "In this moment" Two more bands who has female vocal beasts in the lineup. So you still have a lot to choose from. You wont run out of suggestions anytime soon lmao :D
LMFAO... BRROOO... Did you really just ask about her growls only 1 minute in? Tisk tisk... You should know by now😂😂😂 awesome reaction bro! Greetings from South Africa
I think you should do cloud factory They have both an older official video by jinjer and newer live version napalm some reactors do both in one video . They sound almost like 2 different songs as the older has different drummer a additional guitar and they use different tuning. But it shows alot of progression of the band. If you only want to do only one then alot of people will argue the newer live version is better.
Dmitry Kim is the drummer in this song, he was the drummer for their "King of Everything" album.
The American Nightmare is a good intro and is Freddy Kruger based
Watch the 2020 Melbourne Concert, it's great! Nice Reaction.
Has anyone asked for a reaction to
Ayreon - The Day That The World Breaks Down - The Source (2017)?
Asking for a friend :)
You also need to check out Jinjer - Teacher, Teacher!
The best live version of I Speak Astronomy is in Alive in Melbourne Official Full Concert
Vlad plays I speak astronomy in the Alive in Melbourne live album they released this year.
Jinjer are great aren't they. Best 4-piece around. If you're looking for 5 amazing musicians try Unleash the Archers (although they technically don't have a bass player at the moment but watch Awakening) or if you want to have your mind blown by a bunch of kids from Mexico The Warning is the way to go
10:53 Please, react to Beggar's Dance from the same album. Is a jazz song.
Beggars Dance is epic and always puts a smile on my face. They used to play it as a recorded outro as they cleared the stage when they were an opening act and in one bootleg video you can see the members of the next band in the wings dancing to it. :)
Awesome reaction to a great song as always when both you and Jinjer is in it ;)
Watched Miss Hale and Miss Lee just before this one and that is just one awesome duet.
Check out Outlander its the oldest concert video i can find. There is some really ancient studio stuff too, Tati is queen!
Ok its time....go full retro jinjer...19 year old tati....jinjer;destroy at the beastiarium
You should also listen to a slightly older song called Cloud Factory and also Bad Water (all clean vocals for her).
OSN I too am a huge JinJer fan, but check out Straight Line Stitch. They started 9 years ago. Listen to Black Veil. Love your channel!!
Please do On the top live in Kiew or Retrospection you will love those :)
The concert they just released as a live album from Melbourne has a good live version of this song. Full concert video can be found here on RUclips.
I subbed to see the upcoming pie-eating contest. Good luck! 🤘😈
Love your work brother. If you get a chance do exposed as a liar! !it's some old gold I'm telling you 😀
Would like to see you reacting to "No hoard of value" Lyrics video. Very hard, brutal song with great lyrics. It is also an older song.
IM pretty sure its Einstiens theory of reletivity because she loves space and science and learning
You should check out "Outlander" and "Cloud Factory live"
yesss
Under The Dome by Jinjer
She is a goddess
Check out thier another older song OUTLANDER.
I think you should do cloud factory
They have both an older official video by jinjer and newer live version napalm some reactors do both in one video . They sound almost like 2 different songs as the older has different drummer a additional guitar and they use different tuning. But it shows alot of progression of the band. If you only want to do only one then alot of people will argue the newer live version is better.
