Getting back into trials after 30 years on road rockets. Your channel is fantastic, sarcastic and a real inspiration to get stuck into the sport again. Many thanks for all your efforts and please keep it up.
One thing I found when injection first came to MX bikes is that when kicking them over, you might have better luck leaving the throttle alone as there is probably a start feature programed into it. The habbit of twisting the trottle while kicking is a hard one to break.
Test rode a 2023 Sherco last weekend. Loved the direct throttle response and injection worked like a charm (no bogging or delays). Bike feels even lighter than my 2023 TRS RR. We also had some issues with the starting, kick starting without giving gas worked better for us. And as always Danny, a great vid.
I have just bought the 2019 st250 and replaced the mudguard screws with plastic numberplate style screws so hopefully they will break instead of the mudguard 😊👍👍👍 And they're blue 😂👍
I have to say her lines and the back end just look amazing and the overall new look of that new baby ?? just to die for and also the levers and plastics are so cool nice one danny !!
Thanks for another good review vid Danny. Interesting you would say the Sherco feels long. I did a little investigation - according to the Sherco website, the WB is 1310 mm. For a point of reference, the new Gas Gas you said that felt very similar to your Vert is 1320 mm. The feel is what matters. Keep up the great work.
@@TrialTube Danny, do you think the front tire would have felt more grippy in the turns if you had been able to move the bars forward to your preferred riding position? It would definitely put a higher weight percentage on the front axle and compress the forks more which would change the rake ever so slightly.
Very interesting points , some bits I do like ! Be interesting to see how long it now takes for Beta to catch up with all the rest as I don’t think it will be long before gasgas change.
I've been told by a very good source HP that Beta have plans to upgrage the Evo in 2040 there's more colour schemes in the rainbow that can change the look so thats the route they sticking to
Good review how were the plastics and stickers. I had a sherco ten years ago and although the rest of the bike was shite the stickers held up well compared to my beta.
Great video as always! Nice to see a test rider (who's way more looksome by the way) who actually rides like most of us mere mortals do. These new fandangled EFI bikes sure seem to finicky to start. Isn't that supposed to be easier than the carbed machines? Guys with the green bikes in our club are getting right side thighs like Tony Bou.
Thanks Danny for the review. It looks superb, can’t wait to see the 250 which hopefully will be more Clubman focused so less power and softer. I hope you get chance to test the 250 Sherco or Scorpa
Think I was done with it as soon as she couldn't start it. Last thing I need at the end of a tough trial is to be spending all that time and energy trying to get the damn thing started. Reminded me of the first EFI OSSA.
Hi Danny, thanks again for a great review. You'll have to have Carrie help you some more I feel. I'm about her size and looking for my first trials bike. Looked exactly like Carrie trying to start a 250 beta. (well not exactly😉 doh) but couldn't start it. so am looking at 125's particularly st125 sherco due to the light weight, and ones available in my price range. Do you think it would be a good beginner to trials bike? 2012 model. I'm old and tiny. Cheers
Hmmm I’ve not come away thinking I must have one, watching the vid though you both seemed incredibly balanced and in control. Ie a high level of confidence in a bike not personalized.
I like the looks of it. My last Sherco was crazy bad about bending right at the footpeg mounts, to the point that every 10 rides or so I would have to take it all apart and put a portapower in there to bend it all back into shape, otherwise the pegs were both pointed South. I would have liked to see them go with separate peg mounts, not welded on ones. Oh well, nothing could pry my Nitro 250 away from me anyway...
Hi Trial Tube, this bike has a completely new air box. In future can you please open up the airbox or show us the new filter. Huge part of regular maintenance and engine performance. Looks like a massive air cleaner as well which seems to be how it has to be with fuel injection.
@@TrialTube cheers. I've owned a couple of 05-06 gasgas bikes, an 11 and a 13 sherco and a beta evo (year doesnt matter haha). All have different airboxes with pros and cons. The 11 sherco being the easiest to work on and worst at keeping water out of the carb. The gasgas being impossible to work on. The beta somewhere in the middle.
@@TrialTube Agreed but the sherco was so much worse. 2010 and 2011 shercos had a flat filter that went to the very bottom of the airbox, no low point before the carb and no proper drain. Any water that got in went straight to the carb. At least the evo has a drain plug.
Great review as usual Danny! By the way, I am a bit surprised you didn't feel the clutch to be super snappy? Like on-off. I had the opportunity to try this bike, and it felt super light from the back-end as you said, fast revving as you said, but the clutch really felt extremely on-off
Yo Danny, nice review. I wont lie. In some parts of the vid you look MUCH better than usual. That tight overall ... wow! Also the long hair looks good!
Awesome review. Seems maybe a bit more revvy then the green bikes? If so and if good or bad probably depends on the rider. I'm glad to see they improved the airbox. The previous gen was a giant pain in the arse to change. Also the previous gen was pretty bad about killing the airbox when the fender was bent upwards. BTW how is the new gen Vertigo fender? Love the old bikes and how flexible they were, though I do prop mine after riding to keep upright lol. Oh also found out the hard way you can run over the old Vertigo with a large pickup truck and it will mostly survive.. at least mine did thankfully 🤣
@TrialTube just to clarify I didn't run it over. Someone visiting our club grounds ran it over with a RAM 2500 HD lol. I was clearing a section, heard a clank, and turned just in time to see the bed of his truck hike into the air and my bike getting smashed into the ground by his tire! . The only casualties were my Hebo Carbon helmet, the fork brace, kickstand mount, and bar pad. Scratched one of my forks, but between the clamps. Thankfully wheels and forks are still straight. Could of been way worse.... ofcoure it's insured, and the new 2023s are looking dang good. Maybe I should of told him to go back over it a few more times 😬😭🤪🤣
Enjoyed that video , great 👍 . One of the big plus points seems to be the price ? Ok , 900 quid is a good wedge but how much is the bike ? Id wager that a lot of the "new bike buyers" , of whom I'm not one btw , wouldn't be swayed . I might be wrong and tbh I hope the new bike proves itself .
Yeah , well that's what I was wanting to say , but someone will say 900quid is a lot , which it is . Had it been a couple of thousand fair enough . I'd rather be on a green bike but that's maybe just me 👍
You stated that it's the lightest bike on the market maybe I got my kg to pounds wrong or google did but my 2023 beta is about a pound lighter I guess there is a question in there am I understanding something wrong
I'm just going according to the beta website the new beta weighs 146 and the weight he listed is a pound more I had to google kg to pounds so the conversion could be off p.s I'm not saying anything bad about the bike at all just looking for clarification thank you keep up the amazing videos

The first thing I’d like to point out is your co presenter is a lot easier on the eye than your brother and dad 😂. Second that bike looked like a proper twat to start. Good review mate, you always make me wanna buy a sherco over all the other bikes you review.
I think time will tell that the build quality and design is just as poor as past Shercos. What's the point of 2 Jubilee clips on the intake especially when one of them seems to be incorrectly fitted. I'd say you had to put a bit of effort in to start it Danny and appears unstartable for ladies or possibly even smaller blokes.
Well the jubilee clips (I have heard) are because of the compression. But when starting the kick start simply moves waaaaayyyyy too fast! As for starting it 100% requires practice and a technique. When I got used to it it was easy enough but for smaller (less experienced) bodies it may not be too easy.
The ossa has an unfair advantage the gearbox is made of ultra lightweight paper mache! Seriously though would love a trial tube ep on the I'll fated Ossa. If you can find one with a working gearbox..
