The previous 2022 model is 450mm wide, the 2023 is 480mm wide peg tip to peg tip. When pegs folded up the 2022 is 320mm wide and the 2023 is 390mm wide.
@@TheHellTeamTrials Thanks Paul, no doubt the aftermarket guys will have plenty of alternative parts soon. The bike looks like they forgot to apply the graphics. I suppose they can't curl up at the edges if they don't exist. Rappers and I met you at the Vertigo launch in Spain.
@@andyfoot2577 hey Andy, good to touch base again mate. The only stickers on this new RACING model are the black panels on the side of the air box! The rear guard graphics is actually a sublimated logo, so it is etched into the plastic. It's going nowhere. (I should have mentioned that in the video, DOH)!
You would have to direct that question to GasGas Julian, but ALL trial manufacturers run a similar arrangement. The 6004 bearings used are sealed, and no "extra" dust seal is deemed to be required.
What is the Horsepower rating on modern trial bikes I wonder... used to compete in National trial events back in late 80's early 90's and the bikes had around 20 hp😊
I bought this bike and I'm 59 years old. Recovering from throat cancer surgery and very concerned about starting the bike. All the videos and blogs talk about how hard it is to start. Is it really that bad? Thanks
It's not bad if you have the correct technique, it's just not a "soft" kicker. It has a quadrant gear kick start mechanism, so the kick gear is engaged for a very short time with the idler gear, and you need to get some momentum into the engine to get it fired up. So don't be a wuss! and you'll be fine.
did you try any other pegs I know you said they dont work. I want to get s3 hardrock would it just need a little material removed to fit or very different how they mount.
@@TheHellTeamTrials were they close at all to fitting could grinding off a little bit of the pegs make them fit. is the pin on the frame a new angle I'm just trying to see what changed from the previous frame.
I just noticed and I dont know if its wrong but on s3 website you can select 2023 GasGas txt 300 and it says the steel hardrock pegs fit and the alum curved hardrock. if doesnt fir that could make a lot of irritated customers
a carburettor? yipee!!! ok well not so yipee. I weigh 95 kilos, all muscle, (really... please believe me!!) and that bike will go, oooof, when I throw I leg over.
Good demonstration!! Greats from Toledo Spain!!
Thank you very much, that means a lot. I love your Channel!
@@TheHellTeamTrials Thanks mate
Best review of this bike I’ve ever seen. Great job!

Bloody great review, thank you 👍
Great video picking one of these up this week
Great vid!!!
Great look into the new bike. Thanks Paul
Love the frame design, radiator access is awesome, back fender is great. Just need to make an orange one and I'm sold.
What a review! Great job
Great review, very interesting to me as I own a 2020 model!
Good video :)
These bikes look so fun
Will the '23 front disc guard fit on the '22? :-)
Don't know much about these but surprised it's a two-cycle and is it not an expansion chamber exhaust? Are there four strokes in trials bikes?
Excellent video Paul. You did well to get a bike! Regarding the pegs, isn't the overall width of the bike the same as before?

Always enjoy the new bike reviews. Would it be possible to weigh the bikes to compare to the manufacturer's claims?
Great idea Mike, I'll do that on future reviews.
@@TheHellTeamTrials Thank you sir! It would be fun to see how they compare to advertised specs.
why don't the wheel bearings on the gasgas have dust seals like a dirtbike?

Yes I tried all S3 pegs, Jitsie Ratio pegs, Hebo pegs and the old stock Gasgas pegs, none work on this bike unfortunately.

Hate them Kickstarters, they’ll always break garunteed.
I prefer bigger Pegs
