Alpinestars are like slippers when you first put them on too. I sniff a freebie with a new bike purchase 😂. I hope they were free anyhow, if you can’t wangle yourself a free pair of boots then what’s the point! 👍
Brilliant information as always danny well done !!! i own a 2004 sherco ST290 and to be honest i would rather have that than a new one because i think theres not much in the way of weight saving and my one doesn't have all the electronics on it to go wrong but thats my opinion but im glad your on a sherco YIPEEEEEEEEE !!! cracking vid boyo !!!
Glad you are excited about the swap to the Sherco bud. When you say weight saving wise it isn’t much different? They have saved over 5KG in the new bike from the previous version. That’s an incredible amount! The weight saving alone makes the bike ride completely BETTER. Trust me! It’s a big deal.
What a ripper. Completely agree with keeping it fresh. Even if Vertigo remains gods gift to trials, you wont appreciate that without time on the alternatives. Plus you still look super planted on that Sherco.
Congrats Sir!🎉😃. Against Mr Butlers advice...😉I bought a 2021 Sherco FST Factory 300 instead of GasGas TXT Racing 300, and upgraded it with suitable stiffer (100+kg) springs front/rear, taller Bar, various carbon fiber protction bits, S3 bar ends, clutch/brake levers, some Nice blue bling stuff and new Michelin tires.👍😃 One thing I dont like is, that is a pain in the... to repack the silencer... any tips are welcome 😄 cheers from me in Norway
Well I can’t win them all, I have never been a fan of the blue machine until now. Although it could be orange or blue and still be the same machine. Sounds like all good upgrades to me. Apart from the Cow bars.. The re-pack is dirty and frustrating and just takes practice and patience.
I too like the Sherco. My concern as a clubman is the turning radius. Currently on a Beta only because of the turning. Is there an option to improve turning to equal Beta? Thinking tripple clamps?
Great review Danny! Looks like a great start for sherco with the new bike. On a different note when will we see a review of the new Montesa 301RR? The 4 banger die hards would love a review I’m sure 👍
Yes, no throttle on FI start up. I was a Honda/Yamaha mechanic in the States in the late 90s when FI was new. Those bikes were all electric start though. 1st kick sounds like the fuel pump is pressurizing the system.
So they have fitted a flywheel weight and slow action throttle, (anyone can do that and call it UK SPEC). I am honestly enjoying it’s natural set up and it’s really good fun so far. The best soft control of the power is your wrist. 😉
@@TrialTube was wondering if it was a direct manufacturer difference, clearly it's the dealer thats added the extra weight and slow throttle. I can always take those off it's a good deal road registered at £6495

What an awesome video and thank you for featuring us!!
Thanks WOB!! Pleasure to work with you guys for the betterment of trials!!
At least you had good taste with the cap. "Majesty" what dreams were made of in 1982🤩
It’s true and glad you liked the hat!
Wasn't expecting that Danny but I completely get it sometimes it's nice to have a change or go in a different direction 👍
Indeed man! She looks good on camera too right?!

Didn’t see that one coming Danny!😮😂 good luck with the new bike 👍

How’s the reliability so far? Looking at a Scorpa but have my reservations! 😅
The Sherco was ok but we have moved on. Video pending….

Nice looking bike.
Power delivery looks like it suits your riding style, like you say lots of fun 🙂
Nice job with the editing.
Thanks! 😀
Great to see the Sherco is finally getting some interest again. It appeared to fall out of fashion for a lot of years.
Well it deserves attention, the new bike is a quality item (so far)
I think the 2011-2015 shercos had too many problems and no performance advantage. The 2016-2022 shercos were okay but very boring.
That blue is really classy. Same colour as my Boxster.
Fair enough, I do think it’s has a classy colourway!!
Very smart looking bike mate 👍👍
Thanks 👍 I am quietly impressed honest
New boots too Danny. Noticed before watching all the way through lol
Oh aye, proper throwback for me
Oh my golly gosh you had me Dr Wob at CHOCOLATE BOLTS 🙃

Honestly the better the body angle = better the turning capability. Work you body in this instance and not rely on the extra possibility of parts etc

When I did some content before on the 4rt we covered the bases but I will see if Honda UK can hook me up
Nice video Danny. You said you changed the forks. What did you do? Sag, clicker adjustments, or more internal custom mods like valving.
Yes and yes and yes, will have to go into detail in another video?
@@TrialTube I sure would. There isn't enough suspension setup information for trials bikes.
The shercos that I have had, hate being kicked with throttle, it is something difficult to get used to😂
It’s a whole new starting procedure on the fuel injected one

Quoted weights always amuse me.
What weight did Sherco claim for their 2022 model?
Do they quote 5kg less in 2023?
Your a great rider pal
Thanks man!!
I just love that bike
I am also becoming a fan every time I look at it
It sounds nice 👌🏻
It does, crisp!
What's the difference between this and the scorpa? I've seen a advert this morning for the scorpa being offered in UK spec with soft power delivery?

What's the £/lb value 🤔
For a moment I thought it was going to be a Mecatecno !

slow moving parts spray, seriously!lol
Call phrasing, no doubt. But are you saying you wouldn’t lubricate any of the parts on the bike the only move now and then?
why is there a taboo against bringing a dirty bike to an event? you are just going to make it dirty again anyway.
I think it’s more about property owners not wanting to introduce new weeds etc from other properties. Dirty bikes can carry seeds in the mud.
Well. It’s poor bike care for a start. Why wouldn’t you care for your bike?
Why bother having a shower?
