Had a fair few trials bikes over the years but I’m on my second beta evo 3004t now and gel with it totally. Had a chance to ride a vertigo nitro 300 last Sunday and loved it. Brilliant bike. Great video and spot on advice here 👍
Thanks mark. I’ve only been riding around 2years but love the sport. Most of my friends I ride with all run montesa’s now but I can’t bring myself away from the 2t’s. I love my vertigo 200,I just need to progress my riding skills & have more confidence now.
Great useful information for a novice, I’ve just turned 59 and looking at taking up trails, I’ve been riding since I was 6 years old lots of different types of riding .
It’s a sport you can do for many years. I’m 42 & only just started trials & there are quite a few 60+ riders in the clubs I ride with, there are even guys in there 80’s so it appeals to all ages
Nice one! Im 54 and started a few months ago. Personally I would say buy the best you can afford as the newer bikes get easier to ride! Gone from a Scorpa 2005 SY250 to a 2011 Sherco St290 and the difference is unbelievable!
Thank you for the positive feedback. I am only just starting out so will hopefully make some better videos when I get used to it but am thinking I will do a dedicated trials RUclips channel Thanks

Great video, wish id seen it a week ago before i bought my first bike which is the same as yours in a 250 😂 , i bought a cheap trials helmet and used my motocross gear for my first ride , i dont think i did too bad though . Great video 💯
I'm very much feeling my way into the sport and what I'd say to anyone wanting to give it a go is to try an experience day at somewhere like Inch Perfect Trials. It's far cheaper than buying a bike and all the kit to find out it's not for you.
Yes that is a very good idea. I was lucky a friend lent me his bike for me to give it a go a few times then I started investing in my own bike & kit & built it up from that. Down south there isn’t as many give it a go places unfortunately. Very enjoyable sport
You see so many people get a bike that is far to much power for beginners & they struggle to control that power. Much better to start with a less powerful more controllable machine to start with to learn the technical aspect then upgrade when you learn the skills
Thanks Stuart I am starting to really love the sport after doing it a little more than a year. I will try and do some more informative videos as i progress
I'm really concerned that I've spent 40 years as a mountain biker and my left finger has been my rear brake , is their any option that I can keep it that way ? And maybe have a thumb lever for a clutch ?
I started off on road bikes then turned to track bikes & never thought I would take to trials as it seemed such a slow pace compared to what I was used to but how wrong was I. Until you give it a go you don’t realise how much skill is involved with just staying on the bike at slow speeds let alone doing your first section in a competition. It has opened my eyes to a sport I didn’t know much about & now absolutely love it & try to improve every time I ride
@@jbsworkshop great to here jb and with these uploads, loads of others will hopefully give it a go as well. Maybe not this May but the next you'll be booking a week in Fort Bill✌

Did I hear you say Gloucester? I'm from Gloucester, just bought a TRS three days ago, and am looking for a practice track, or any advice on who to speak to? Cheers👍
Hi Casper I am from dorset & most trials I do are around dorset & I have done one in Devon. Check on acu website for local clubs, everybody I have met have been very friendly & helpful. It is a fantastic sport to get into
I can see some advantages of having a good quality E-bike like the EM Pure over a 2 or 4t. They are a very high quality E trials bike with top quality kit
are u getting paid from vertigo to say the gasgas is a bad beginners bike? I myself have a 2009 txt280 pro and the clutch is amazing, gasgas always had decent clutches. if the clutch was on or off it might have been wrong transmission oil on the bike.
No I don’t get paid,I am just giving my opinion of the experience i had, every body will have a different opinion on other bikes as nobody is the same & certain bikes will suit certain people beginners or not.

Great advice there. I bought a Rev3 200 last year as my first bike. Love it. Might get something more exotic like yours next year ;)

My 300 GasGas has a really sweet clutch. Maybe there was something wrong with the one you rode?
Very interesting info

agreed, trials is the very best way to lean how to ride well. if you can ride a trials bike well your prepared for any discipline
I started off on road bikes then turned to track bikes & never thought I would take to trials as it seemed such a slow pace compared to what I was used to but how wrong was I.

just search "trials practice Gloucester" i'm sure you will find something, failing that move to Yorkshire 😉
Frys bottom trials 10m south of bristol
I want to get into trials but there are no used bikes on the market near me and they are priced the same as an enduro
Keep a look out on market place & also the trials pages, cheap starter bikes can be picked up for around £1000 it’s just finding them
waiting for EM PURE to come more stateside, more accommodating across the board then a 2T
I can see some advantages of having a good quality E-bike like the EM Pure over a 2 or 4t.

Appreciate the info but playing music in the background while your talking its really annoying.
Most editing videos say put music in the background & I am learning as I go so will take it on board
Background music is unnecessary and distracting.
@@jacketrussell thanks for the feedback

Sorry, I just can’t get passed the nasty music, thanks anyway.
