Alfie has the world at his finger tips but I think because Dougies so humble he's not spoiled by having it,well done Arthur you have set the standard, not just for trials but for being a human and it's transcended generations 👍
I remember Dougie as a boy. I can't imagine Alfie understanding how much respect his dad gets. I hope he continues to enjoy trials, the family seems to have the right idea.
What a beautiful family, hope one day I'll get to shake there hands, I bought a D L vertigo this year" well if he can't build a trials bike who can! Grand master.
Great documentary. Dougie is really a down to earth guy and a gentle man. To have fun at first and enjoy the competition and the own ambition is a humble target and creates fairness and character. Thanks again.
Hello, thank you for your insight into this important slice of life that you live with your family. I obviously wish the best to Alfie even if sometimes working with your family can be complicated ^^ Thank you for showing everything, the successes, the mistakes, the success, the errors, remaining humble in the face of events and the work will pay off at some point. Looking forward to following you again, work hard, have a good time with your family above all and... Long live the trial!
Yo Dougie!!! I remember the 315r mont very well! I owned 3!! My favourite being the lampkin rep with the iridescent forks and special graphics Still a very competitive machine to this day!!!. Lovely to watch you with your lad! Remember if for some reason he falls out of love with the game, you back him all the way!!. There's no way he's going to be as good as you were so go easy on him😉👍 👊✊💥💨💨💨💨 NICE 🦢
Amazing watching young riders coming up through the ranks.. please keep posting these videos and clips 👍 Dougie has always been my childhood star rider and I’m sure Alfie will be the same for many people. All the best guys and good luck!
Seen Dougie bringing his son to some of the trials we did and great to see he enjoys it. I remember seeing Dougie same age as his son in trials so hopefully we may have another rider to support in the Worlds rounds.
What great parents! Not pushy but really supportive and only interested in their children's happiness. Really nice documentary and bought back memories of Dougie on Kick Start during the school holidays.
Really enjoyed this. I am from Yorkshire originally and had some interaction with the Lampkins back in the day. I am 5 years older than Dougie, but I rode in a trial that he was riding in when he was very young. He was of course leagues better than me! I remember being at many Sheffield indoor events when John was battling against Steve Saunders. Great times.
Brilliant video, brings back memories of when I first saw Dougie and Martin working together at the Colmore Cup in ‘94. Well done Alfie, you better keep it up, I shall be looking forward to more videos 👍
The Lampkin family are one of the nicest people in world motorsport… and I’d like to thank you all for sharing your world.. and I look forward to the new Netflix trials Kick Start series…
What a fantastic video, it was like watching Dougie and his dad in the day. I shall follow their ongoing journey with interest. I started trials on a 125 Montesa and it and I were useless. On the advice of an old guy watching, I bought a 349 Montesa and immediately it was only me that was useless but less useless. I hope you guys do a complete series of videos.
Great to see tha Lampkin name continue with the sport, no pressure eh ! 👍 I remember being taken to watch Arthur Lampkin in Scrambles, I was a young child at the time and it must have been when Murray Walker used to be commentating on BBC's World of Sport..hell, I now feel pretty dam old but, still have three bikes.
He definitely has a great teacher. The main thing is to have fun. I rode in the 70's and watched Bernie go from good to great. But he always had fun. I'm 65 now and it's time to get a trials bike. Some of the great times of my life were practicing and competing in trials events here in Southern California.
Thanks Jitsie a great insight into Alfie's first couple of world rounds, it was so nice to see both Dougie and Alfie looking so relaxed, Alfie just smiled the whole vid, good luck young man for next year, just go out there and enjoy every trial
What a amazing relaxed family with this background. Everybody knows the name lampkin, even without beeing a trial head :). Hope you do more serious with them 💯💥👍😃
Great job young man your doing just fine. Success is a process it just takes time your well on your way keep up the great work. Always been a big fan of your Dad. Your blessed to have the best to learn from
Excellent work chaps. Amazing performance by Alfie. Look forward to seeing him progress. The course looked awesome.. just need myself a new Jitsie now...
Whether Alfie becomes a world champion, or just Alfie Lampkin, as a father of three boys, in my opinion his entire family should be proud. Best of luck lad.
Great to see the early Days of the next generation. Alfie seems to have great attitude I don’t think he’s in any doubt the work required to be no1 let’s hope he can achieve what his dad has
It'll be interesting to see what happens post-Covid when Dougie returns to a more normal work schedule and subsequent availability at home, and the demands of Alfie being on the Trial125 circuit.
Very refreshing to see a sports personality that isn’t covered in tattoo’s and has a good family with an intelligent wife not covered in mud makeup supporting some chav eyelashes. Congratulations Doug. Nice to see there is still some class left in the British sport scene.
Really enjoyed the video. What is with the damn music. I would rather her the music from the motorcycles exhaust than that other background noise they are playing. Thanks for the great video.
Compare this to Max Verstappen and the way he's relentlessly pushed by his dad. A refreshing change. A shame Alfie doesn't have something like Junior Kickstart like his dad did where he can get some TV exposure and attention.
Alfie has the world at his finger tips but I think because Dougies so humble he's not spoiled by having it,well done Arthur you have set the standard, not just for trials but for being a human and it's transcended generations 👍
What a lovely lad. Also this made me feel really really old remembering watching his dad at his age.
Wishing the lad all the best, and dad looks like he's getting it right too.
Mum and dad bursting with pride ,wishing you all the best Alfie 👍
I remember Dougie as a boy. I can't imagine Alfie understanding how much respect his dad gets. I hope he continues to enjoy trials, the family seems to have the right idea.
Martin and Dougie and now it's Dougie and Alfie . I smiled all the way through this video good luck to both of you .WHAT coach Alfie
"Your father is a trials champion and has been for years. Your grandfather is an absolute legend in trials. . So *no pressure* kid"
Good luck to you Allie!! Have fun and enjoy yourself. We are all cheering for you.😃👍🏁
It is feeling good to have a Lampkin back in world trials ,i grew up watching all the previous generations so good luck Alfie..
What a beautiful family, hope one day I'll get to shake there hands, I bought a D L vertigo this year" well if he can't build a trials bike who can! Grand master.

Awesome. Alfie will get to the top.

Such difficult terrain. Such talent ❤
Very cool! some of those sections in Andorra looked very scary indeed
wow I dont think a course could be any tougher !! awesome riding young Alfie !
Excellent work chaps. Amazing performance by Alfie. Look forward to seeing him progress. The course looked awesome.. just need myself a new Jitsie now...
Watched the end of Martins career all of Doug's career and will now see Alfie. Let's go Lampkins
Good stuff, just enjoying riding as it should be.
Fantastic journey ahead for him, cracking polite young lad. A credit to you.👍
Well done to Alfie, a nice unassuming lad with the world is his feet, I’m sure he’ll do well in the future.
Whether Alfie becomes a world champion, or just Alfie Lampkin, as a father of three boys, in my opinion his entire family should be proud. Best of luck lad.
Awesome lad 👍🏻
What a nice lad, I hope he does well
Great to see the early Days of the next generation. Alfie seems to have great attitude I don’t think he’s in any doubt the work required to be no1 let’s hope he can achieve what his dad has
Love it
Good lad!!! Would of been great to see Dougie do the sections🤔
I want to learn trials, this was a good RUclips to watch 👍
I wonder if Doug can hear his father as he is shouting directions to Alfie. What a great experience to see his own son coming up.
Just what I was thinking 👍
Lovely
Come of Alfie. 👊 ❤️
Great to see Chips Off The Old Block Carrying On In The Lampkin Way!!!
Kick Start 😀👋
Martin would be so proud

Good onya.
The Lampkins! Bending Bantams for four generations 🤣
Really enjoyed the video. What is with the damn music. I would rather her the music from the motorcycles exhaust than that other background noise they are playing. Thanks for the great video.
@14:40 Is that a kid a trials bike or a gosh darn billy goat; I can't tell the difference...
The kid looks darn good to me!
What happened to Jan’s tutorial videos???
Well done butty
Missed the boat sadly.
why not gasgas?
Will you be shouting "give it some" like your dad did to you?👌
Compare this to Max Verstappen and the way he's relentlessly pushed by his dad. A refreshing change. A shame Alfie doesn't have something like Junior Kickstart like his dad did where he can get some TV exposure and attention.
"FOUR of your relatives have won world rounds, but no pressure on you, young lad - you'll win yours in time - no pressure".
Hehe.
That tank size isn't getting you nowhere off-road Enduro Keep keep carry on camping
