Just as the world feels as if everything is going to shit, my world at least , Joe Pera appears on the horizon and tells me a story about soup, what a guy.
I'd say "Pera For President," by why ruin a good thing, huh? I'm speaking of Joe being the 'good thing,' btw; the office of the president? Not so much...
Joe Pera to the rescue. Joe Pera has come into my life again at a time of great sadness. Now and before on Adult Swim. It's as if he was sent to sooth our souls. Thanks Joe.
I played this when I went to bed, and I literally fell asleep within the first four minutes. Not only that, it put me to sleep so hard, that I woke up with a 5.5 hour history podcast episode about Vikings that had autoplayed and finished as soon as I woke up. I can personally attest to the power of this podcast. Joe, you’ve made magic. I can’t wait to hear you next first Sunday of the month, and I’ll be sure to give this a proper listen on my way to work today.
Instead of regular egg noodles, I tried some rice vermicelli that came from the food bank. I mixed it with some left over chicken and broth, fresh sliced zucchini, summer squash, chopped onion and bell pepper that I had let cook until transparent, then added the vermicelli. What a treat. Stay warm. Thanks Joe and Jo.
Just finished. I don't mind calling myself a true Joe Pera content junkie. And I feel like that was my first fix in a lonnnng time. Superb. Now is it too much to ask for hourly installments with daily compilations... looped for 8 hours with no ads for a good night's sleep?? Ok sorry I love you
By sheer coincidence (???) this video appeared just as I was sitting down to eat the soup I'd just made! It's a Thai tom kha, so perhaps too spicy and exotic to accompany a Joe Pera podcast; I think a cream of potato and cauliflower with lots of melted cheddar would have been more appropriate. Joe Pera is like a warm bowl of soup in human form. Jo could be the little packet of oyster crackers that comes on the side. 🥣❤ Jo shouldn't feel too bad: I once gave myself food poisoning with a miso soup I made. It was the fresh shiitakes (very aptly named. Haha.)
Man, I'm really hoping Conner will make it in an episode. You guys are perfect foils to each other stylistically. Love the sleep-cast, and Jo's appearance was great!
Not only did this come at a perfect time for an afternoon Sunday nap. But now I want to make a Sunday soup for dinner afterwards! Thanks Joe! Yer the best!
Oh my lord Joe, I was WHEEZING when you mentioned the battle that soup ended. That “running your opponent through with a halberd” line floored me. I needed that laugh so bad. Thank you for making my day better.
Joe Pera Soup Recipe In a pot add some chopped celery, carrot and onion. Let them simmer in olive oil for 7 minutes. Add diced tomatos, broth and water. Also add salt, pepper flakes, and bay leaves, that you remove at the end. After it simmers for 20 minutes add pasta, greens, and beans. Some lemon juice or olive oil or parmesan. Turn down the burner to low and go sit at the kitchen table while it gently simmers. Just sit there or read a magazine or call a friend.

Hey Joe. Im very happy to hear that you're still doing your thing. I love your perspectives on life and the world around us. I look forward to every single one of these. You're the best. Love your face, love your show :')
i was listening to the wonderful Ms. Firestone's description of Olympia Dukakis' method of soup consumption, and i wondered if she's observed Gentle Whispering's "Dinner Etiquette" video and the recommended technique for soup? It begins about 6:40 if she's pressed for time.
Didn't sleep great last night so I decided to nap but couldn't fall asleep because I gave myself mild food poisoning with my breakfast. It's a small world. My stomach is feeling better, I'm comforted by the reminder that food poisoning happens, and I'm grateful you're making stuff to help us sleep. Thanks, Joe.
I clicked the like-button as the episode started. Then i kept reaching for the like-button again and again throughout the episode, forgetting I had already clicked on it. This show deserves a like-button for multiple clicking,

Hello Joe, I'm writing this at 2:43 AM and I apologize for any grammatical errors but I wanted to thank you for all that you've made. Watching your content makes me happy, it makes me want to be a better person, not that I think I'm a bad person or anything but make changes within myself that will improve my life and those changes will hopefully make me a happier and more patient individual. I feel calm when I watch your content and it makes me want to explore the world more and more like this video and my new interest in exploring the world of soup. I feel like I should say more since it's now 2:53 and I feel as though I haven't written much but maybe that's a good thing. The first change I'll make if you're interested is to sleep at a better time than being up at 3AM, alright, good morning/night. Thanks again Joe.
There is something absolutely unique about this versus other types of sleep aid videos. I don’t want to be TOLD how to feel, thoughts of affirmations, it just makes me feel phony. “I am at peace” blah blah blah sure obviously I’m a wreck but let’s give it a shot. Joe Pera doesn’t tell you what you should think, he offers what he thinks and it’s so real and wholesome and grounded in reality that it becomes exciting to honestly try-on his perspective for ourselves. Another thing it does is it doesn’t tell me how to feel, it actually makes me feel it. The peace. Idk if any of this makes sense but god bless Joe pera
Oh my God, Joe?!?! I just finished your show a couple weeks ago. I had no idea you had a podcast! I want you to know that your beautiful show made me cry so many times. And honestly, I'm really not even sure why. Something about your almost normal philosophical thoughts. They just like...they really get me. I'm glad I found you! I'm glad I found this.
I started listening to this after 10pm and it made me go into the kitchen and heat up some chicken noodle soup. I tried to convince myself I wasn’t very hungry earlier. Joe convinced me otherwise. ❤
This is a good first episode that I hope will have many more to come. I don't want this to become the Buffalo Bills of podcasts where it just gives up after a few episodes.
It would be too simplistic to call this man a national treasure. He's the eighth wonder of the world. If we ever made alien contact, this is the person that needs to represent us.
tomato soup is the best because of its compatibility.
