Good and bad in everyone, if you read my comments to Kenneth you will see I call him on it when I think he is off base, like a lot of public persona's what you see isn't always what you get, and he has been nothing but kind and respectful to me. I don't subscribe to group think and I don't ask anyone else to, If you don't like his channel feel free not to watch, I don't like everything Kenneth does but that does not mean he has no redeeming traits. He will respond to every email you send him and availability means a lot. I hope that helps you understand ; ).

I love my 6DM2. It has what I need to do for architectural and landscape pictures. I don’t do videos so 4K was not a priority. It’s really good in low light spaces like churches. I don’t care of not having two SD slots. I have many of them with high capacity that I change every day so I keep organized my pictures. Also I used the WiFi capabilities of the camera to backup the images to my iCloud. I bought this camera before watching any video. I went to a respectable store and they gave me really good advice of this camera and others. So later watching all these bad reviews of the camera made me wonder if I got an special 6DM2 because I’ve been using it for more than 10 months and I don’t see the negatives of this camera for people who is jumping to be semi pro. Also I noticed that people giving the negative reviews are professionals and they can’t compare a $5k pro camera to a semi pro camera and it is hard for a pro photographer to go back to the roots. Remember people, it’s the shooter and not the machine who makes great images. Thank you for a sincere opinion.

Amirul Ashraf no because is not recommended. If you don’t have constant network, it can ruin or you can lose the image. Sometimes you walk from one space to another and depending of the materials surrounding the space it can freeze the connection and therefore you lose the images. By materials I mean, some old houses have plaster in the walls and it blocks the network signal.

      @karikaru 5 лет назад +12

@@notme1998 I was considering both for a while - the d750 and 6d mkii both have their pros and cons. The d750's biggest perks are that it has dual card slots, better dynamic range, and a headphone jack. The cons being the price is a bit higher still and I personally already have some lenses in EF mount (I have a couple old 35mm in nikon manual focus too however). I decided I'd rather give that up for the canon color rendition, an articulating touch screen, and some of the other features in the 6d that make it really appealing for what I want which is an all-purpose weather-sealed DSLR for outdoor landscapes, wildlife, street, and general "travel" photography. Either way - I don't think you can go wrong as both are outstanding systems in their own right. The great thing with both vs going mirrorless - is there are a ton of DSLR mount lenses you can buy used.

Late comment here but that’s the one thing that’s pissing me off watching reviewers. Most of them are vloggers and by this point, we already know Canon doesn’t do video with their DSLR line, they have a whole Cinema EOS line dedicated for that. Rich Freeman if you’re nervous about the upgrade don’t watch RUclips reviews. Identify what your needs are and research if the products you want cover that. I learned the hard way if you buy cheap you spend more. The cheap stuff will either not work or worse will break. Then you are faced with the decision to buy quality($$$) gear or risk buying cheap again. Basically you get what you pay for.

I love how diverse your camera love is! Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fuji, Pentax, etc. It puts a lot in perspective too. You've quickly become one of my favorites! It's so interesting to see your results and hear your thoughts on such a big variety of cameras and lenses. I love watching "older" model cameras get so much love. By the way, that Canon 85mm 1.8 is one of my favorite lenses I've ever shot with. Beautiful!

Recently bought one of these after reading alot of negative reviews I still went and purchased it and it is a fantastic camera. It does everything I want and more. Including a built in timelapse which gives you a 4k option. So for all the haters of the canon 6d mark ii I suggest you go out and buy a camera twice the cost of this and get very little quality difference is that really worth the extra cost? Any a great review and a great camera 👍

I had a 6d for a while and kept waiting for the MarkII to come out, mainly hoping for the articulated screen. I had come to enjoy using it on an earlier camera, i could get views lower and higher much easier without straining to see the screen, so that was the main thing I got the Mark II for. The better festures are nice and I don't mean ti minimize them, but they were gravy for me. I've enjoyed my 6DII now and wouldn't trade it for anything!

Another great video Mattias! Just what I would expect from you! Thanks! It seems these days there is so much competition out there and too many choices, but I have to agree that for professional use, the reliability and pro service that we've come to expect from Canon is second to none...still... The ergonomics and image quality, coupled with lens possibilities, including adapted lenses, is perfect.I wish Canon would buckle down though and put 2 card slots in a pro level camera at this price point. In my opinion, for the money, my Pentax K3 is still the best stills camera for someone who is mainly a still photographer needing a bulk of useful features, pro level build quality, and sharp, small and affordable prime auto focus lenses. In saying that, my best pictures as a pro sports and fitness shooter were made with the original 5D. Still great!

I love how you always find the best in every camera. This is actually how one uses cameras in the real world. Not every feature is needed in every camera; if that were true then the only differences in cameras would be varied colored camera bodies (ppl would still argue of course, but it would be about whether Fuji's latest camera is a true yellow color or has too much red in it to be a true primary color; obviously affecting image quality).

@@ginotarintino if this is your very first camera I would highly recommend the Canon 80d. I have both the 80d and the 6d II and use both. Both are fantastic cameras. But the 80d has a built in flash which is very useful for for fill flash and for triggering off-camera strobes without having to use separate flash triggers. The 6d II has no built-in flash. I have used the 80d for many professional portraits and events and my clients have loved the results. It's a fantastic camera for both a first camera and well beyond. I always recommend an APS-C body as a first camera rather than a full frame. The 80d is absolutely amazing, even in low light. You will love it.

Just found the d750 used + 50mm 1.8 on a good deal. Snagged one up immediately. Your video on d750 video quality helped me in the purchase.. thanks a lot. I have a Nikon 105mm 2.5 ais + 2 contax mount lens (35-70 3.4, 28 2.8, that I'll leitax mod to F mount soon).
Quick question: without focus peaking how to you judge focus on d750?
Would be pairing it up with G7/g85 (whichever I could find on deal) + 20mm pancake as a secondary cam (rest of the lens adapted). Would you recommend that pairing?

I bought my Canon 6D II in March 2021 and I really like it. I wanted a full frame and this camera is a big upgrade from the Canon Rebel T7i I used for the prior 3 years. My Sigma telescopic lenses work on both (100-400 and 150 - 600mm). I have to admit that the bad reviews had me second guessing my decision, but after 14,000+ keeper shots, I still love the camera. This camera just feels good in my hands and changing settings has become second nature.

I'm thinking of upgrading to one of these from a 6D. I find the focusing on the 6D to be a little frustrating and slow when using other AF points other than the center one. Having more cross-type AF points would make my life a little easier, especially in lower light situations. I'm still not sure, but I'm very tempted.

Mattias Burling - It is great for those who own Nikon glass. The adapter reportedly works great. If Nikon's mission was to protect their user base who are looking for FF mirrorless, then it is a win. The Z bodies will sort themselves out over time, the new native glass will determine whether they win converts as the line fills out. By then the prices will have dropped on the first Z bodies at which point I expect a video on your channel about the Z6 will drop into my notifications box. 😀

I have a canon 5D Classic as well and this will be my next camera. I had an A7ii but got rid of it because I wasn’t happy with the images it produced. It wasn’t that it was bad it just didn’t produce the colors I was used to with the 5D. There’s something to be said about Canons color science, something one Sony fanboy tried to tell me didn’t exist if you shot in RAW, but I proved him wrong. Now that I’ve watched this I’m eagerly awaiting the purchase of my 6D Mk2. Thanks a lot Mattias!!!!

Thank you for this concise yet precise and clear review. I am considering buying this camera mainly for photography, but I’d also like to go for the occasional video of my trips.
How’re the video capabilities of this 6D MII?
I am not looking for the best 4K UHD out there as I believe that snobby mindset leads us to end up with source material of a quality we never really take advantage of, but I still wonder if this camera is able to produce decent footage for 1080p videos that can be watched on a large screen.
    Many thanks!

I’m assuming the original 6d has similar image quality to the 6d mii right ? So couldn’t I essentially get by with the original as well as far as looking like the 5d classic image ?
