There's a lot of cuts. That's kind of rough to watch. Is there a reason there are so many cuts in your intro? Also the camera work is a bit distracting.
I had one in Cape Town from 2010 for 3 years. Try to reduce cost by spending less on fitout, budget working capital for at least 2 years and don’t forget your USP. I’m developing a course on how to open a coffee shop. Don’t forget location
This might sound weird but I'd be interested to see what the bathroom looks like especially if your downing coffee. A very underrated aspect of a business man.
Thanks for the content! This is inspirational as a person who loves coffee, wants to learn more and especially planning to start a business in Seattle. This is what I'm looking for. Thanks for the upload! And call out to Joe's Fine Coffee, love the vibe!
To everyone thinking about opening a coffee shop here is a little fun fact for you. 50% go broke in the first 2 years. If you are really good at what you do and have great staff in a good area, with cheap rent you can make a decent wage. Staff is a headache and you will have to do 60 hour weeks. If you love it than it won’t be so bad. Very few people make great money in a coffee shop.
Great video! Nice people, doing good stuff. I would suggest you kill the AutoFocus on your cameras as it keeps adjusting and losing focus and is very distracting for some of us viewers. Keep up the great work!
there are a lot of coffee origins, try them ...And you can brew your coffee in more than 10 different brew methods...And a lot of different roast profiles...Just do it!
Are you not using your lapel microphone(s)? The audio needs improvement in this video. It would make a big difference in your overall production value if you could improve this. The part with the owner sounded ok it's the employees interview that sounded like there was no lapel. Also you might look into normalizing the audio across the video so it's all about the same volume. It was an interesting video, I look forward to seeing more.

it's nice to see the emphasis on cleanliness in a coffee shop, so many think it's cool to have these dirty people serving coffee without anyone saying something. a tid bit: hair nets or coverings would take clealiness to the next level.

Breakfast is number 2, my coffee shop became super busy when I finally start making breakfast sandwiches from scratch on a freshly baked bread. I was whole in the wall with strong coffee and superb sandwiches and gourmet cakes on reasonable prices. Had line of people for 13 years. Unfortunately they demolish the building where my place was.

I don't understand why the CEO would hire an operations manager that's also the store manger, maybe funding but it really should be two seperate people. And as far as "not caring about profit". You must have an unlimited money bag.
what pissed me off about coffee shops in my country is that every barista is trying to make coffee as fast as he/she can, trying to show off and look cool. i bought my own coffee machine (breville barista express ) and i can say that i make better coffee than 90 percent of the coffee shops that i used to go to.
Yea I agree. I was given a old espresso maker and I had a old Krupp grinder from the 70s..and fixed it, ,then bough a cheap better grinder that can grind even,, that works , then bought green beans and started roasting in a skillet, my coffee is way better then Starbucks I learned with the lowest equipment and spent a lot of time. It's not a big deal . Making awesome coffee
I don't understand how you could possibly get everything we see here for $100k. Building and property alone seem like they would come close to that, as well as the espresso machine costing around $15k.
