My husband and I are about to open our 1st cafè/ juice bar and I must say this was very informative. I would love to meet him one day. Thank you! Thank you!
That's so cool! Best of luck to you and your husband with your business venture, sounds amazing!! Definitely come and visit the Pacific Northwest if you want to check out Woods Coffee :)
I wish he would of gave more detail about how his business has adjusted to the pandemic. I know alot of small shops are trying to find different strategies/approaches just to stay afloat. Love the content❤ This video was still very informal..
Very good info. I have a very similar business plan and learning how to avoid pitfalls as well as employ others' wisdom is great. Thanks for this content
Great video, I had very successful tiny coffee shop for 13 years, unfortunately had to close, because landlord sold the building. I am planning to open another place in different country and I find very informative about roasting my own beans.
Great content! I'm looking to begin my own coffee business as well (except I plan to be100% online rather than brick and mortar). Can you make videos on online coffee businesses?
Our pleasure Cianran. We really appreciate your feedback. 😀We want all our videos to inspire and provide as much valuable information as possible. We're honored that you want your kids to watch as well. How many kids do you have?
About 3 episodes in on a recommended video, great content keep it up! Have you been able to interview Ben Kinney yet? Wealth of knowledge in in your area.
We really appreciate that brahim. 😀 Thanks for supporting the channel. Please let us know what other types of business you'd like to see featured on the channel?
I would love to do this but the bank that owns a property I want has a price of 350k. It is a empty car wash parking lot with cracks and weeds in the asphault. It is priced for rich franchises that don't care to over pay.
Thanks for watching Eric. Have you considered asking the bank for an option to rent? If it's just sitting collecting dust, they may consider it as they would still be making money. Or maybe try looking at other properties. Don't give up on your dreams. 😀
It goes to show that the American Dream is much less within reach of every American than it was even 18 years ago as 23K then is still only 35K today, clearly not enough for a good coffee shop.
@@bringingclaritytoconfusion3605 both are write offs, but as he said, it's incredibly capital-intensive to buy real estate vs. taking the same amount of money and opening 3-4 locations. Yes you can argue real estate appreciates as an asset class, but does that bump outweigh the additional profits that could be made with additional locations vs. a singular one.
In my opinion opening a bunch of stores and creating a chain of cafes is quite disgusting it takes away the uniqueness of your brand as well create distance between you and your employees. If you are driven by only sales and profits then sure all power to you. I just think owning cafe is about community building and creating an environment where people can thrive. It's not always about money, sure you want your cafe to sustain but why not create a space of growth for community. Anyways carry on. Everybody is different.
Him justifying paying his baristas less because of tips and then tipping felt out of touch because they literally made him the money he tipped them with. Just pay them a tiny bit more and they’ll feel better not being at minimum wage.
People are struggling and it is a culture to give a tip? What? Is it enough just to pay the coffee without a tip and just pay your employees a right salary.

Very interested in how the 'points system' works...did I miss that? It seems separate from the free cup after twelve have been purchased. Subscribed.

Can you do a video on a restaurant business?
We sure can! We're actually publishing a video of a restaurant this Monday!
I’m the owner of restaurant. I like to watch this channel!
I will be like you sir.
excellent
Thank you! Cheers Brent!
I can only imagine him being able to take advantage of the real estate tax advantages for his business if he did buy real estate.
I always wondered that but a large number of companies lease. I think they are taking advantage of the lease being a write off too..

Anything but Starbucks 😏 Please come to California we have nothing 😢
Thanks for watching Rat Burl. Are there too many Starbucks around you? Would you ever consider getting into this type of business?

Couldn’t somebody say they’re in the middle of an interview to hold down the noise a little bit oh my God how disrespectful
The production on these videos is so high it makes it feel canned and unauthentic.
