Hopefully, you've noticed a trend. In 2020 we published 6 videos. In 2021 we published 4 videos. So far in 2022 we've now published 4 videos and have 6 more already shot and in editing. If we can maintain the momentum, we're aiming to publish a new episode every week this year. It's always been our dream to make this our full-time job and this year we're doing everything we can to make that a reality. Unfortunately being at the mercy of the RUclips algorithm makes that much more challenging. Regardless of how many views they get, every video requires the same effort and time commitment. Each one takes weeks to make from all the coordination, filming, and editing. Yet some of the videos get millions of views while others only get thousands. We just keep rolling the dice and betting on ourselves to succeed. Liking the video and leaving a comment is a huge help but sharing the video is an even better way to help the channel grow. So if you enjoy what you see, consider texting the video to some friends or family who may also be interested in seeing these stories. Of course, sharing is free and easy, it's something everyone can do, but if you believe in what we're doing and can afford to go one step further, consider supporting our work via the Patreon we just launched. You'll get access to some of our behind-the-scenes processes and really get to see how we work. We are a small group of filmmaker friends who just want to keep doing what we love. If you can help support that, we will be forever grateful: www.patreon.com/PARAGRAPHIC But we know there are many people on the internet competing for the money in your wallet so if you can't afford it, or simply don't think it's worth it, we completely understand. We will still tell these stories. Hopefully, they are as much a joy to watch as they are to make. If so, please consider liking, commenting, subscribing, and SHARING the video. Thank you.
Channels like this that are educational and beautifully shot- as well as personal- they just don't exist. Its why I subscribed awhile ago and have watched every video since. And one better- these short films are encouraging! If these videos could be displayed to schools imagine the impact it would have on those young hopes and dreams that otherwise see a grey and calculated future. There are plenty of interesting people with great projects; from car culture and paints, to leather crafts and woodworking. Truly an endless supply of content to be brought to light. Good Luck Paragraphic!
Got recommended this video because I guess I view a lot of coffee related ones and so the algorithm definitely works! This video was really nicely shot and edited together. Just the production overall was really great!
(2:37) If you would be so kind... could you please enlighten me as to where I can buy this green coffee of which you speak? On Amazon, the cheapest I find is $6.40/pound. I am doing home roasting now, and I can never go back to pre-roasted
This video really spoke to me. I have been home roasting for years now. I love the reactions of my family and friends, from something I put time into. This year I am taking the leap to start a small business. This video just gives me more confidence. Do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life.
Greetings from Costa Rica, i work in a coffee factory with a national trademark " Cafe Naranjo", and we use a Diedrich Roaster design for 80 pounds! Coffee is a whole world and every word you said has the right meaning we want to share about coffee.
As a barista of several years but completely new to roasting / the idea of running a successful coffee roasting business, I really took a lot from this video. In this world we hear a lot from the Greats such as James Hoffman, but to find somebody who is earlier on the path (and therefore more relatable for us newbies) is extremely helpful.
Greetings from Ethiopia i love your show and i'm barista i work in a coffeeshops i know a lot about coffe process , roasting but still you can't get enough off learning about coffe, always there is a Knowledge to learn
Absolutely love the passion this guy has. What I don't like is that company's try really hard to push out their fancy unnecessary products to make coffee i mean it's nice to have that stuff but if you're just starting out you don't need all this stuff. Keep it simple and fun don't let all these fancy machines discourage you all of that will come later. I hope this helps happy roasting 🙂
Most roasters are roasting medium or city. Even when it's advertised as ligh roast is generally more medium than light. It is understandable as probably 8 of 10 people won't buy coffee from them anymore if they roast light. This is one of the reasons that I started roasting my own coffee.
Thanks brother. This one is the greatest of all the video Inuavr ever seen on coffee roasting. As an Ethiopoan coffee exporter myself, I learned a lot.
I home roast and never thought I would. But once I understood the vast difference in quality and flavor, as well as being able to customize to my taste, I will never go back to pre-roasted. I buy beans one 65lb box at a time, at around $4.50 to $5 per lb. So, not only is it better coffee, it's far less expensive than store bought. My roaster is a small sample roaster that I picked up for under $500, and can roast a lb at a time.
Too true about the people growing the coffee, i often think to myself as i roast my own stuff. That those people deserve to see more profit. The quality of some of the coffee i get my paws on is just unbelievable.
Excellent, thanks! Especially would agree that most of coffee in shops is overroasted. I'm roasting coffee at home more than 10 years, and have tried about 100 different kinds of coffee beans, from different regions (from coffee, directly bought from farmer at Cuba to Chinese one from Aliexpress ;) But still, my favorite way of making coffee - "cinnamon" roast (drop it just 10-15 seconds after first crackling started) and cook it in "turka", made of thin(!!!) thermo-resistent ceramics. Initially I've used "baharaj cawa" from Syria, now - only these ceramic pots. IMHO taste depends significantly on the water quality, temperature, cooking duration, material of coffee pot. Seems like thin ceramics is the best (special porcelain). Can write a lot about coffee :) Sadly, most of people don't understand what the coffee is. They drinking some cheap crap, pushed by marketologysts... So, at least here, in Russia, real coffee is not popular enough to pay off cafe or coffee shop. Unfortunately :(
I remember as a kid in a Italian American family papa used to make me rotate a homemade contraption over some hot coals. He made strong espresso and worked all day!
Great video, true as soon. I have an organic tea plantation in the north of Thaïland. Since last year I’ve been exploring many roasters on Doi Chang and PANGKHON in Chiangrai province. Soon we will open a new tea and coffee shop. This video is great. I’ll be roasting on the plantation. Well done
Team Paragraphic, you've done a commendable job in field of story telling. I could directly connect with Luke while watching this video. More power to you guys.
Fantastic video! We love buying from local small roasters who are passionate about their craft. Just ordered my first bag from Lab Notes, can't wait to give it a try.
I'm starting a job tomorrow learning how to roast coffee. I've been in the restaurant industry for almost 15 years and I've never roasted coffee before even though I basically drink it every day. I'm already really excited to learn a new trade but this video has brought even more positivity and excitement!
These stories you guys bring to the light are always inspiring and make me feel like I can be doing so much more. Thank you guys for sharing these experiences with us!
exactly this type of awareness he is trying to bring across to viewers is what I just absolutely adore, and hence why it makes me so absolutely MAD and PISSED to see companies such as Starbucks and other "big players" alike in the industry that roast the crap out of those beans to abosolutely sh*t nearly turning them into coal. So therefore I could not agree more, coffee is just such a wonderful and lovely resource this planet can offer to us.
Great vid! I stumbled upon “roasting “ coffee beans by mistake. I went searching for a high grade coffee for a friend for Christmas. The coffee arrived.. I went to smell it and they were unroasted green beans. I am new tithe game and very excited to learn as much as possible. My “pet peeve” now? Unevenly roasted coffee beans! 🤯😬
Hey I’m from Ethiopia 🇪🇹 and I’m glad you guys using our coffee and mentioned our country name Thank you 🙏 . I want to start this business but I need someone to help me from scratch. How much you bought your roaster machine and where you bought it. How much capital do I need to start selling a roasted coffee from home?
@4:00 from what I know is a cup of coffee in the afternoon may make you feel tired because it pushes your stress threshold up and causes it to rapidly decline and makes you crash whilst being awake. But if he is right about micro toxins then why would a good quality coffee make you more tired after drinking it for your 3p.m. slump? Its about the stress threshold in the body
You should do a documentary about paragraphic making a documentary. I love your videos and would like to learn more about your team. 😉 Good work as always.
Im assuming that you have a serial/usb interface between the computer and the coffee roaster. You should be able to get an adapter/splitter that allows your mac to sit between the two
Hey you are a Awesome person sharing this Important information and you are right it is a very Big Market like a Ocean and if there couple Dozen new Cafe opens not big deal
Would you think that the roasting process is the most important thing in order to provide a difference in texture and flavor and is there also a n average of degree roasting or it's up to me?
The one thing I want more discussion on is the wasteeeee that is in the coffee industry. As he said, you get like two beans per cherry. yet so much goes to waste in coffee shops from just playing around and adjusting. not to mention places that over roast
I would encourage everybody to pursue their passion, what is it that's easier to do besides what you're interested in. So if there's something you're interested in, yeah you should look into how you can work that into your life and there's usually a way to to do it regardless of your situation. ~Luke Cizek

Do you think it’s better to buy coffee unroasted from other country than buying it roasted? I’m looking at buying from Asia.
Got recommended this video because I guess I view a lot of coffee related ones and so the algorithm definitely works! This video was really nicely shot and edited together. Just the production overall was really great!
Love the content in your video here! ❤

Love this guys passion and energy. Really hope his business takes off and he can do what he loves full time

I'm about to do the same! I'm curious how your launch turned out and if you have any tips?
Greetings from Costa Rica, i work in a coffee factory with a national trademark " Cafe Naranjo", and we use a Diedrich Roaster design for 80 pounds! Coffee is a whole world and every word you said has the right meaning we want to share about coffee.
acknowledging and giving credits to those who grow the coffee.. RESPECT!
I don't hear that enough from people in the industry..

As the owner of a small roastery, dealing in specialty coffee, I really enjoyed this documentary. Coffee is so complex!
@ 4:16 - dear lord that is absolutely just the most beautiful roasted coffee I've seen in a long time...wow!

As an owner of a coffee roasting business (Shiba Coffee and Tea Co.) I really enjoyed this
Wow! those last words hit me hard. This is pure Art! ✨

This is one of the reasons that I started roasting my own coffee.
I don't even like coffee that much but i know im gonna love this experience and come away loving coffee just because it's Paragraphic!
Thanks brother. This one is the greatest of all the video Inuavr ever seen on coffee roasting. As an Ethiopoan coffee exporter myself, I learned a lot.

Cool little bit of info on the toxins. Amazing video as usual!
Too true about the people growing the coffee, i often think to myself as i roast my own stuff. That those people deserve to see more profit. The quality of some of the coffee i get my paws on is just unbelievable.
The quality of this video is top notch. Great story, and all those macro shots are amazing!

Hello,
I'm confused. You brew using ceramic or you drink out of ceramic? I home roast and I understand your appreciation for coffee. 😊
I infused flavors into my green, raw coffee beans, then dry them, and afterwards roast for a very tasty, delicious and smooth brew!!!
I remember as a kid in a Italian American family papa used to make me rotate a homemade contraption over some hot coals. He made strong espresso and worked all day!

Your vibe and passion are so pleasantly unique! Thanks for the informative and detailed video 😊
Team Paragraphic, you've done a commendable job in field of story telling. I could directly connect with Luke while watching this video. More power to you guys.
Fantastic video! We could watch these kinds of videos all day. Very educational and well produced.
this guy rocks. that coffee looks amazing!
Another quality production from paragraphic! It's almost 7:30PM and I'm now considering brewing up a French pressed coffee...
The production quality!!!!! make them 30min long we cant get enough of these😩... Binging from Kenya
Love the passion brother🤙🏽 Interesting stuff. Thanks for sharing!
Another great craft documentary.
Thanks Paragraphic. Quality over quantity.
That french press pour hit the cravings. I could just smell it.
Fantastic video! We love buying from local small roasters who are passionate about their craft. Just ordered my first bag from Lab Notes, can't wait to give it a try.

So many amazing people doing so many wonderful things. We just love showing up with cameras and capturing those stories.

Beautiful video 💕 does good to coffee growers and small roasters (who make big coffee)
As a coffee farmer i would like to say its true coffe is labour intensive but kenyan coffe is the best
Loved this episode! Really well put together 🙌
Amazing video quality as always
Great Guy ! I love his energy and the way he talks about coffee !
Amazing video. If I didn’t love coffee already I definitely would now.
the quality of this channel is amazing
Love this video. Super fun to watch cause I love coffee, too. Inspiring.
Very inspiring video.
Hey I’m from Ethiopia 🇪🇹 and I’m glad you guys using our coffee and mentioned our country name Thank you 🙏 . I want to start this business but I need someone to help me from scratch. I love this ‼️
so nice coffee roasting profile 👍
These videos are so beautifully made🙌🏽as usual paraggraphic you guys did an awesome job of film/documentary -making 💛
The coffee looks so good 🤤
You should do a documentary about paragraphic making a documentary. I love your videos and would like to learn more about your team. 😉 Good work as always.
Fantastic content, like always!
Uniformity in roast color makes very happy 😂.
Awesome
good video, good info.
so inspiring! great video too
Awesome stuff 👏🏾
I really enjoyed your video
This channel is so consistently great
Thank you. It was very Encouraging!
Not all Cherry's have two coffee beans in it! My favorite coffee has only one, Peaberry!
Great content.. here to support you. Chase your dreams and keep ‘em coming.
Top documentary as always!
Inspirational
Im assuming that you have a serial/usb interface between the computer and the coffee roaster. You should be able to get an adapter/splitter that allows your mac to sit between the two
Awesome video.
Paragraphic's Google search be like.
"Business owners with Long Hairs"😂💯🔥👍🏼
😂
Great video! Where is the coffee roaster from? What’s the name of the machine?
It's a Diedrich IR3
nice vid thanks
Hey you are a Awesome person sharing this Important information and you are right it is a very Big Market like a Ocean and if there couple Dozen new Cafe opens not big deal
I just wanted to say how awesome this video is. Not only for the information, but for some deep insight for life in general. 🙏🏾
Would you think that the roasting process is the most important thing in order to provide a difference in texture and flavor and is there also a n average of degree roasting or it's up to me?
What great is coffee cherry was an accidental find by shepards in ethopia. The drink and roasting is indeed originated in yemen..
Austria played a major role in bringing coffee to Europe.
The one thing I want more discussion on is the wasteeeee that is in the coffee industry. As he said, you get like two beans per cherry. yet so much goes to waste in coffee shops from just playing around and adjusting. not to mention places that over roast
Thank you for your deep explanation, could you help me in providing the roasting machine in Ethiopia?
I would encourage everybody to pursue their passion, what is it that's easier to do besides what you're interested in. So if there's something you're interested in, yeah you should look into how you can work that into your life and there's usually a way to to do it regardless of your situation.
~Luke Cizek
I grade you with a distinction ❤
Jah bless you bro
Nice .
"What is there, that's easier to do, than what you're interested in?"
I'm interested in intergalactic space travel!
...No big deal :)
So if we can hack that roaster, we can supply it any roasting temperature profile to optimize that then!
Great video thanks
Well done
Nice 2.0
